Course Description
This course enables learners to understand how forensic mental health is managed in the community. It also enables the learners to understand mental illnesses (conditions/disorders) and how they may influence behaviours. The course also allows learners to fully understand Community Treatment Orders, Section 117 and Section 17 and the implications of the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007)
The course includes:
- Understand mental illnesses (conditions/disorders)
- Understand how to reduce stigmas associated with mental health
- Understand the Mental Health Act - including detaining sections associated
- Understand how forensic mental health is managed within community settings
