This course allows learners to understand the importance of person-centred care and person
centred care planning. It also allows learners to understand the consequences of when care planning
is not of an acceptable level. Person-centred care is an integral part of any health and social care
service and this course allows learners to understand the various “tools” that can be used to obtain
the maximum amount of information to put the service user at the centre of all of their care and
support requirements. It is a fully practical course where learners’ complete various activities to
strengthen their knowledge and to be able to put “theory into practice”
