My nan has been resident of this care home for close to 3 years. She is bed bound due to disable and having serious dementia. The care home are all contacting my family with any issues that my nan may have.
She's is very well looked after from friend staff from day interaction at meal times to bathing.
Staff are really friendly with the family from the lady at the sign in desk to the nurses looking after the residents and my nan clearly loves being in the care home. I really cannot rate this care home enough.

My Mum stayed for just over a week for respite, it was her first time at the Barchester, Brookfield Care home, we were very happy with the caring staff and the care provided for our Mum during her stay. We hope to put mum there again in April for respite, it's a lovely home, tastefully decorated and
immaculately clean, it's close to my brother so he can visit whilst we are away, he and my sister in law were also very impressed with the staff and care home.

My Mum came to Crabwall Hall for respite care on the 4th February 2025. The staff led by the manager have all been amazing from the initial contact, to arranging the respite, being flexible with us and on the day of arrival itself. I can't praise them highly enough! The home is wonderful and of a very
high standard and although Mum took a little while to settle in, I'm sure she will very soon!

My father spent the last five years of his life at Barchester Adlington Manor Care Home. They were brilliant from start to finish. All of the staff were skilled, patient, caring and committed throughout. There were some tough times however, they created a good place for him which meant he was settled
and peaceful, giving his wider family peace of mind too. We were always made welcome. Can't thank them enough.

Mum lives with us but visits Barchester Brookfield Care Home approximately one week per month.
I have no concerns when dropping her off as the staff are so welcoming and warm.
When I pick her up to go home, she always says that she's had a lovely week. She loves sitting chatting to ladies her own
age. She thinks the staff are lovely and very caring as well as being good fun.
Thanks to everyone at Brookfield for my peace of mind.

The staff are excellent, faultless.
The weekdays are run better than the weekend, when my mother says they are understaffed. This is very noticeable.
The dining room is noisy.
Again - staff excellent.

Barchester Westvale House Care Home

from Chrissie C (Daughter of Resident) published on 20 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Barchester Westvale House Care Home is a purpose-built, friendly care home which is extremely clean. The care staff are amazing and go above and beyond to ensure that all residents are cared for in a warm and friendly environment. Residents are offered a variety of home-cooked, nutritious, tasty dishes
from the daily menu. Hospitality offers a variety of daily activities to keep residents minds active. You can visit a resident any time, day/night, always greeted with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Westvale feels like a home from home which makes such a difference. I have had a few niggles along the way but these have been addressed and resolved quickly. My dad's en-suite room is extremely comfortable, bright and airy. Relatives decided to set up a gardening club, residents join in helping us make the grounds look lovely during the summer months. We are like one large family, all helping each other which creates a lovely atmosphere.

Trying times and under pressure staff, they still, in my opinion, try incredibly hard to do their best for the residents. Certain members of staff going the extra mile to try and create a caring, smiling atmosphere! I personally am incredibly thankful to the majority of staff who try their hardest to

The staff are second to none. Always kind, helpful, understanding and endlessly patient. When entering the nursing home it is clean and fragrant but sometimes there is an odour in the corridors and I think a room spray in the corridors may be a help. My mother is self-funding and it's frighteningly
expensive.

Barchester Brookfield Care Home

from Donna L (Daughter of Resident) published on 22 November 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum stayed at Brookfield Care Home from July for 4 months following a fire at home. The standards of cleanliness, décor, the rooms, shared spaces, hair salon and the menu are 1st class! (Yes, they have a three-course, breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, plus snacks in between) This care home is more like
a 5-star hotel. But most importantly we were blown away by the level of care by the staff. A particular member of staff and her team made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to help Mum settle. Here she has gained friendships with other residents and staff. She's been involved in exercise classes, watched concerts by local schools and taken part in activities. Even her mobility has improved whilst she's been here. The goal was always to get Mum back home again, but having the support of the mentioned staff member and her team has made Mum's situation so much more stress-free. We as a family can't thank Brookfield Care Home enough. They've been amazing!

Reply from Sarah Nolan, General Manager at Barchester Brookfield Care Home

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely, heartfelt and detailed review. Having your mum stay with us was an absolute pleasure for the team, she loved a laugh and a joke with everyone and we are so glad she settled well with us and you and the family had peace of mind from this. I will share your kind words with the whole team here at Brookfield and if we can help in the future with anything, we would welcome you back anytime. Thanks again, Sarah and the team.

Barchester Lawton Manor Care Home

from Deb W (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 October 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My dad, aged 95, was admitted to Lawton Manor in March 2024 for palliative end-of-life care. From day one the team were wonderful and made such an effort to get to know him and us as a family. They encouraged my mum to visit for lunches and made sure both birthdays and their 72nd wedding anniversary
was celebrated too. The care has been truly amazing, from the nursing team, care and activities team, laundry, kitchen and everyone- I know Dad felt safe in his final months, which is all we could have asked for. Whilst Dad sadly passed in August, the team made possible some lovely memories in his last 6 months which we wouldn't have had - so much so we recently returned to celebrate his life for an afternoon tea with friends and family, staff and residents.

Reply from Rebecca Whitehouse, GM at Barchester Lawton Manor Care Home

Dear Deb, thank you for taking the time to provide the team with this feedback at such a difficult time for you and your family, following the sad loss of your father. Your feedback has been shared with the team.
