All staff at wood grange were absolutely wonderful with my dad when he was living there. He looked forward to them popping in to see him throughout the day as he was bedridden, so they all made sure to take time out of their busy days just to nip into his room and say hello. They became like his second
family. The staff always kept us informed and were so kind to us. Fantastic people!

The standards at Tennyson Wharf are exceptional. All of the team looking after the residents are amazing, kind, caring, considerate and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent range of activities on everyday to keep residents engaged should they wish to join in. Mum is extremely happy there and settled
in very quickly. I have complete confidence in how well my mum is being looked after.

My wife had Glioblastoma and was bed bound for the whole of her 7 month stay at the Cedars. The care she received was first class throughout. We could not fault it at all. Not only were her carers fantastic but the nurses as well. Although she was unable to speak very much, the staff became expert in
anticipating her every need. She was so grateful to all the staff as I was together with family members. Nothing more could have been done to make her life better. Thank you so much.

Staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and very helpful.
There was a wide range of activities daily to suit varying interests and abilities available for residents to attend if they wanted to, staff did try and encourage this.
According to my mother the food was exceptional, she enjoyed every meal.
Her
room was always clean and tidy as were the lounges that I went into and corridors.
All in all a very pleasant experience, my mother enjoyed her stay. Thank you to a hard working dedicated staff team.

From the moment I walked in the doors, we were greeted by lovely staff. The home smelt nice and the furnishings are cosy. Mum said the meals were so good with plenty of variety each day. The one thing that stood out for me was the Entertainment. Absolutely outstanding and much fun. The staff are amazing.
Newton House has restored my faith in Care Homes. 5*.

Have come to visit my mother today. She is very well and happy at this care home. The staff here are very friendly and look after her very well. They are in the middle of a refurb and even the outside contractors are very welcoming. I'm very happy that my mum is looked after.

Mum has been made to feel welcome right from the start. The staff are lovely, very caring and adaptable. Nothing seems too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and there is plenty for her to do without feeling any pressure to participate. Mum has made friends already and is thoroughly
enjoying her new life. The improvement in her walking and general demeanour is remarkable.

I have been very happy with the care that Mum has received since moving into Barchester Newton House Care Home. She says the majority of staff are very patient and kind and she feels safe there.
The activity team have been amazing in ensuring that she has felt included as much as possible, even though
she is profoundly deaf and stays mostly in her room. They supported her wish to visit a garden centre and have got to know her hobbies and interests and help her communicate using a whiteboard. They have been incredibly supportive and understanding when I was anxious about going away and she told me their visits and hugs made her day, they are so patient and caring with the biggest smiles.
I have been to many care homes and this is definitely one of the best. It has a very welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk in, can highly recommend it.

My mother, sadly, passed away in November after spending more than three and a half years at Barchester Newton House Care Home, it was a difficult decision to put Mum in a home but we couldn't have found a more loving and compassionate place for her to spend her last years. Dementia is a cruel illness
that robs the relatives of the person they once knew but to see your loved one happy and content in their world surrounded by such loving, caring professionals is, without doubt, the best care and attention we could have given Mum. The time we spent with her in the home was precious, she was always treated with the utmost respect and given the dignity every person should receive. We couldn't speak more highly of all the staff. The decision-making is hard but if you truly care for your loved one and are in need of a care home, look no further, there is nowhere better. All the staff actually care. Our grateful thanks for looking after Mum.

Went along to join in the sing-song followed by pin the nose on the snowman (blindfolded, of course).
The whole time was enjoyed by everyone there, judging by the smiles. Although I am not a resident myself, I can honestly say, I enjoyed myself too.
I find, on every visit, the atmosphere is a happy
one and staff are really helpful and kind.
My husband says meals are lovely too. A big thank you to everyone.

Our dad spent six weeks in Barchester Newton House Care Home. He was so happy there. The staff were loving and caring right up to the very end. They allowed him to keep his dignity which was so important to both him and us. Not only did they care so well for Dad but they looked after us all too. We

My husband was a resident in Barchester Newton House Care Home from September 2023 to February 2024. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and support that they provided him. They engaged with him and really turned a corner with him. He started interacting with other residents and joined in with
the wonderful activities provided. He even started smiling again and regained some of his personality. Something I hadn't seen for a very long time. Thank you to all at Newton House for making the last few months of his life special.

The home provides amazing care for my mum, she is happy and content which is all credit to the staff at the home and the care and support they provide.
They are also welcoming when visiting and keep us well-informed.
The activity team there are brilliant, providing a full activity calendar with the
staff always doing it with such enthusiasm and energy.
It is so reassuring to know that Mum is in a home that provides her with the support she needs whilst also encouraging her to keep as much independence as possible and still get the most out of every day.

My husband has been at Barchester Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home for ten weeks. You approach the building, which is a warm colour and attractive looking, from the town centre with good transportation. This is home for the residents and Maple Leaf staff work hard and enthusiastically to make it so. Staff
convey an attitude of knowing which residents want to chat, those who prefer to be alone and those that enjoy a bit of banter and a laugh. From my point of view, the ladies are excellent and keep me advised as to how my husband is reacting and give me details of his health. The atmosphere between staff members makes them a team that supports each other and is always available to is for help, a chat and support.
