We visited my husband's Aunt for her 100 years birthday party yesterday. It was a lovely occasion decorations were up and plenty of seating available for chatting. The room was light and airy with a very pleasant conservatory addition where the food was served. The great grand children were enjoying
the activities in a separate room but popped in and out in a sociable way. A wonderful assortment of sandwiches, cake and desserts plus plentiful beverages. Overall we are so pleased that my husband's favourite Aunt is being so well looked after after a life of looking after others.

Reply from Amanda Gunner, General Manager at Eversfield

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are pleased that your husbands Aunt enjoyed her 100th birthday party with all her family and friends and that the Eversfield team were able to make it a memorable day.

Rashwood Care Home is a very friendly and high quality home. From our first contact with the home until the day my mother returned to her own home we were always made very welcome by all the staff, in whatever capacity they were working. Nothing is too much trouble whether you are a resident or a visitor.
The standard of care is high including the nursing care an the friendliness is genuine. Thank you to all the staff who made my mother's stay so enjoyable, I'm sorry that I can't remember all of your names.

Having damaged my right elbow, I spent 12 days in respite (my fourth respite in The Cotswold Home). A huge welcome from all the staff! As always, meticulous care and attention gave me the care I needed at that time. A very happy and comfortable stay. Staff really worked as a team. A home from home.

On arrival, you are met by friendly, helpful, smiling, and cooperative staff. I have met the full spectrum of staff from senior manager to hairdresser, nursing staff, carers, entertainers, gardeners, general maintenance, chefs, cooks, housekeepers, cleaners, the visiting GP and no doubt many more. All
of them have been excellent. It feels like a home/hotel set in beautiful grounds. The food is very tasty. The visiting physiotherapist has helped my mother's pain and shown great care. Thank you to all.

I had a lovely stay at Halliwell Care Home last summer to help recover from a small operation. I found the home to be welcoming, spotless, beautiful and uplifting despite my worries about my operation and my discomfort after. The care staff were very kind, careful and supportive - and especially reassuring
when I needed help at night. The gardens are gorgeous and can be accessed from every level - my grandsons loved finding the little stone animals. Lunch was always delicious. The evening meals were a little less inspired/more repetitive than lunch, but usually fresh and healthy and there was a good range of choice. There was a real community in the home, with many of the residents very active in making me feel welcome and driving the activities/care/food choices etc. There were a raft of things to get involved in - I only wish I'd had time do to more! My friends and family visited and were made very welcome and were impressed. I would certainly recommend Halliwell.

Grove Court

from David G (Resident) published on 20 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I've been a resident at Grove Court for only six weeks but already I feel it's home. This is partly because I've been able to embellish my room with some furniture, books, and pictures from my old home. And partly because I can choose great three-course meals from a daily changing menu. But it's mainly
because of the comprehensive care provided by the dedicated staff. All of them - carers, nurses, admin, chefs, hostesses, handymen, gardeners - work together as a team to provide the best possible service to the residents. More than that, they engage with residents in a friendly manner that makes us all feel part of the same flourishing community. That's a great achievement by imaginative and devoted managers.

Grove Court has proved to be a wonderful home for my father. It's really hard to move from your own place with all your things around you, to a place full of strangers and unfamiliar systems. Everyone, and I mean everyone, at Grove Court has been welcoming, kind, attentive to my dad's needs, warm and
very human! The care is exemplary and the atmosphere is lovely. We are lucky to have found them and this is the quality of care that every one of us should have when we need it.

I must say how impressed I continue to be with the standards of personal and medical care my wife receives at Grove Court. I would also like to thank the general manager and all the support staff for the assistance they have given to both of us. This month the kitchen staff deserve a special mention
for having provided pureed food for my wife, they have shown a genuine interest in helping to find the type of meals that she enjoys. Although at present she remains reliant on a fifteen-hour liquid feed each day, this is the first step in the long task of getting her back to eating solid food again.

Rush Court

from M S (Son of Resident) published on 5 February 2025

My mother moved into Rush Court nearly a year ago. This follows an earlier period of respite care at Rush Court prior to a hip operation. When living at home became too difficult for Mum, she was in no doubt that she wanted to return to Rush Court. She was warmly welcomed back and my sisters and I were
immediately reassured and relieved that Mum was back in the best possible place.
Until a recent period of ill health, Mum has enjoyed the facilities, activities, and beautiful rural location of Rush Court. She loves the garden and enjoys walking in it on a daily basis. The staff and management are all caring and highly professional; they always 'go the extra mile' to be helpful and supportive to me and other family members, especially during Mum's current period of ill health.
Rush Court is a welcoming place that feels like home. It is always a pleasure to visit, noting that its peaceful out-of-town location might be a little inconvenient for visitors who are reliant on public transport.

Merlewood

from P E (Wife of Resident) published on 29 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

After 2 months in hospital with severe pneumonia, I felt my husband needed some general rehabilitation, exercise and a routine to encourage his motivation before returning home with a care package. This, we found at Marlewood. I hoped to have him home before Christmas, our sons were visiting from overseas,
for a couple of weeks, but another chest infection caused me to put out plans on hold, disappointing for all of us. My husband was well cared for in the safety of the care home. Earlier the home had helped us celebrate our Diamond Wedding Anniversary, as were many other relatives to join in with the various planned seasonal celebrations and activities. This made for a memorable happy time for my husband, our sons and myself.
#With many thanks to Merlewood, all it's staff who were understanding, helpful, kind and polite. Well done Merlewood.

Mum has been resident at Eversfield for nearly three years now. I am so pleased that we found Eversfield for her amid other suspect alternatives. The environment is stylish and well appointed with good facilities. Though this is lovely, by far the thing I value most is the team that work there from
the kitchen through housekeeping, maintenance, the nursing and entertainment staff, reception and management. From the very start, they have all shown genuine caring and have provided excellent service. It was challenging for Mum at the beginning but with the care of Eversfield she has found a new home.

Eversfield is one of the most inviting care homes I have visited. There is always a welcoming hello and smile from those who answer the door, and that welcome continues as I walk through the home, from everyone I meet. The atmosphere is light and airy and has the ambience of a quality hotel. Care is
taken to dress the communal rooms with decorations for the relevant season. All the staff are attentive to the residents and are unfailingly kind and supportive, and patience is definitely on offer all the time. There are numerous activities and outings arranged such that it would be possible to be busy all day every day if one wanted! I would not hesitate to recommend Eversfield to any prospective resident.
