The house and grounds are beautiful. My relative's room is quite large and comfortable with lovely views of the common. The staff are kind and attentive and his needs are well met. The team have gone out of their way to provide his room with more home comforts to help him settle in. Overall I am very
impressed with the home and the care provided.

The Bernard Sunley Nursing and Dementia Care Home

from Peter P (Husband of Resident) published on 7 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

From the very first day my wife moved into the home, everyone at Bernard Sunley has given the most extraordinary level of loving care and dedication to make sure she felt at home. Every aspect of the home from the various lounges, the food, the entertainment and activities were outstanding. Having
been my wife's full-time carer for sometime, my daughters and I were very apprehensive in giving that responsibility to strangers but Bernard Sunley widely exceeded our expectations and created a warm, friendly and home-from-home environment that gave my wife the dignity and love that was so important to us.
In the very stressful last few days my wife was with us, it is difficult to describe how magnificent everyone was to all the family. It really felt as though everyone was part of one big family.
No one wants their loved one to go into a care home but if that becomes inevitable, I cannot praise Bernard Sunley highly enough and would recommend them without reservation.

Friends of the Elderly Malvern Day Care

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Due to Mom's deteriorating health she will now be a full time resident in a care home so will no longer be a day visitor to Davenham. It comes with sadness that she has to leave as I truly feel she was blessed to have been able to spend time at the day centre. The staff were absolutely brilliant, there
wasn't anything that was too much trouble with her care and support. Initially Mom was a little anxious when she first started going however, she was warmly welcomed by all so that didn't last long and she soon wanted to increase her daily attendance. She loved all the interactions and activities, especially having a little sing along, dancing and having her nails painted! I highly recommend Davenham to anyone wanting some extra special care, support and interaction for their loved ones. Thank you all, you'll be very missed.

Little Bramingham Farm is an excellent care home. Mum was a resident here for just over a year before she passed away and in that time she was cared for wonderfully and kindly. All the staff were so friendly, helpful and treated my mum as part of the Little Bramingham Farm family. We were kept informed
of all aspects of her health and at the end we were able to stay in her room with her for as long as we needed. I can't recommend this care home enough.

After Christmas, my father stayed at The Lawn for respite care, and we were recently offered a full-time place for him. We are absolutely delighted with this outcome and couldn't be more grateful to the wonderful team here.

The care and attention he receives are exceptional-it's incredibly reassuring

to know that, at 94, he is in a place where he is safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. Every visit is met with warm smiles, and the staff go above and beyond to ensure that both my father and our family feel welcome and supported. Their kindness, professionalism, and dedication make all the difference.

We cannot praise the Home Manager highly enough. From the moment our father arrived at The Lawn, she has been an incredible source of support, guidance, and reassurance. Her dedication, kindness, and professionalism shine through in everything she does, making a profound difference not only to the residents but also to their families.

Reply from Alina Gutu, Care Home Manager at The Lawn Residential Care Home

Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. We are absolutely delighted to hear how pleased you and your family are with the care your father has received at The Lawn. Your kind words about our team and Home Manager are truly appreciated. We are incredibly proud of the compassion and dedication they bring to their work every day, and it's wonderful to know that it has made such a positive impact on your family's experience. Thank you for trusting us with your father's care- it is a privilege to have him as part of The Lawn community.

As a family we had to find a respite home that suited our Dad who had been very poorly in hospital. A viewing was completed and we felt this was the home we would place Dad in, as we were confident he would thrive.
All the staff were very welcoming and hard working. Dad settled in very quickly and
enjoyed all aspects of his three week stay at Redcot.
He had a lovely room that looked out onto the South Downs, he loved the view. The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and the activities were great for Dad to participate in, especially the singing.
Redcot offer a day visit, which is a brilliant idea and we will definitely use the service.
Thank you to all at Redcot for your care and attention.

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and as a family we needed some support with mum during the day, to ensure she still has entertainment and activities, as I work full time. Wallington day centre was able to provide this experience for mum, mum really enjoyed going to the day centre and the staff
were so lovely. Unfortunately mum's illness progressed fast so we had to move her to a full time care home, but we know mum was super happy to stay at the day centre if she could. I would recommend the day centre for anyone that wants to ensure there loved one is looked after well and provides stimulation, other than just TV. The day centre staff are all wonderful and we miss them very much.
