My mother has been a resident since July 2023. All the staff have always been excellent however when my mother sadly passed away in February, they went above and beyond. They were all so caring and kind. Myself, my sister and my father all felt so cared for and the love they showed towards my late mother
was so touching. Words can't express our appreciation. Thank you.

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

As a family we had to find a respite home that suited our Dad who had been very poorly in hospital. A viewing was completed and we felt this was the home we would place Dad in, as we were confident he would thrive.
All the staff were very welcoming and hard working. Dad settled in very quickly and
enjoyed all aspects of his three week stay at Redcot.
He had a lovely room that looked out onto the South Downs, he loved the view. The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and the activities were great for Dad to participate in, especially the singing.
Redcot offer a day visit, which is a brilliant idea and we will definitely use the service.
Thank you to all at Redcot for your care and attention.

My mum was a resident for 7 years. We couldn't have hoped for her to receive better care ,time and attention from fantastic carers and staff. The home is comfortable,in a fabulous setting and in addition to care provides for a wide range of play and social activities. Often said and quoted ' if only

My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and as a family we needed some support with mum during the day, to ensure she still has entertainment and activities, as I work full time. Wallington day centre was able to provide this experience for mum, mum really enjoyed going to the day centre and the staff
were so lovely. Unfortunately mum's illness progressed fast so we had to move her to a full time care home, but we know mum was super happy to stay at the day centre if she could. I would recommend the day centre for anyone that wants to ensure there loved one is looked after well and provides stimulation, other than just TV. The day centre staff are all wonderful and we miss them very much.

My mum received palliative care at The Bernard Sunley Nursing and Dementia Care Home at the end of her life. It was excellent and across all areas, nursing, nutrition and housekeeping. All staff were welcoming to her and the family, being responsive and communicating any changes, seeking permissions
when needed. At the end of her life, Mum was treated with kindness, care and compassion. Thank you.

The whole team at Redcott are great, my mother has been a resident for over 12 months. During that time she has been so well cared for. The new Manager is a fantastic professional and without doubt, Redcot is in great hands and the high levels of care will continue. We know my mother is in the the right
place with the right people. Key to the success of Redcot and a perfect indicator of any well-run organisation is the fact that staff turnover is minimal.

Mum has been a resident for just over one year. The staff are very caring and friendly and Mum feels as though she is in a comfortable home rather than an impersonal hotel. She is encouraged to join in the multiple activities which keep her entertained and adds stimulation to her failing memory. We
are very pleased she chose this home when living alone became lonely and too much for her.

The home has a calm atmosphere with light, spacious areas for relaxing and taking part in activities. The dining room is delightful
with fresh flowers on each table. The staff were all professional, friendly and helpful. Although my mother decided not to stay (she wasn't ready) we would not hesitate in choosing New Copford Place for her to stay permanently.

What a find! We needed some respite care for our Mum and found the care welcome, cheerfulness and cleanliness incredible.
Always a smile and a can-do attitude. Mum was sorry to leave as she had become very fond of everyone- staff and residents.

Little Bramingham Farm

from Simon T (Son of Resident) published on 11 November 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

A fantastic care home. The ethos of Friends of The Elderly Charity that runs Little Bramingham Farm shines through. Not-for-profit but for care, for the residents, for the relatives, and for the staff. My mother, a resident since December 2021 smiled a lot there and as a family, we always knew my mother
was safe, content, and loved. The food is excellent, links with the community are phenomenal, activities are balanced and it is a fun and joyful place to visit. My mother passed away recently at Little Braminham Farm, I was with her and I am so grateful that as a former manager herself of a care home for Hertfordshire County Council for over twenty years we were able to find somewhere as lovely as Little Bramingham Farm for her.

Reply from Emma Lawrance, Registered Manager at Little Bramingham Farm

Thank you so much for your beautiful review. It truly touches us to know that Little Bramingham Farm provided a safe, joyful, and caring home for your mother during her time with us. Your words about her feeling safe, content, and love mean the world to our team, and we are so grateful to hear how much our values of care and compassion came through in her experience and in yours. It's wonderful that you and your family felt the warmth and community we strive to create not only for residents but for their families and our team members too. Your kind words about our food, activities, and connection with the community are truly appreciated. Were honoured to have supported Mum as she transitioned from a career in care herself, and it means so much that Little Bramingham Farm felt like the right place for her. Thank you again for sharing this touching feedback; we are thinking of you and your family.
