Overall Experience

Mum was deteriorating both mentally and physically throughout 2024. We had done all we could with home aids and carers, but whatever we did was not enough. I talked with the management at Youell Court and they couldn't have been more helpful in getting mum out of hospital and into the home. All the

staff are great. The home is clean, well managed and there is an air of calm. Mum has been at the care home for 6 weeks now and it's the best decision we have made recently.

Overall Experience

Mum moved into Youell Court in April 2024 following the passing of my Dad. She has been made to feel very welcome and settled in well. The carers are very kind to her and take great care when dealing with her needs likewise. The management visit her often to ensure mum is happy and comfortable.

Overall Experience

When my father-in-law died, we realized that my mother-in-law would struggle to cope by herself. There were many options open, and we chose Youell Court because we trusted the Christian ethos. We have always been happy with that decision in the years since she first moved there. The home is lovely and

warm and the staff are always kind and supportive when we visit and actively keep us involved in Mum's care plan. Whilst Mum's memory has progressively deteriorated, we are grateful to the home for all their kindness, love and increasing support towards her. Mum enjoys the countless activities with the social media pages being testament to that as well as a blessing as you can see the participation and interaction of staff and residents. For those who are looking for a place to care, encourage and support your loved ones and also treat them with dignity in their later stages of life, I highly recommend Youell Court to you.

Overall Experience

My father became unable to manage in his own home as he approached his 90th birthday and we started looking for suitable full-time residential care. A friend gave the home a glowing reference. We visited in person and were immediately impressed with the attitude of all the staff and the 'vibe' of the

place. The whole place felt more like home than 'a home' and we witnessed simple acts of kindness and care from numerous staff during the visit. All the staff were very welcoming and took us through all the financial aspects and what we could expect. It was all very clear. My father was then taken into hospital near his home (several counties away) and 'the boss' drove over to make a personal assessment and liaise with the hospital team regarding admission to Youell Court. Although my father was only resident there for a month I could not have wished for better care. The staff made his care individual. I'm forever grateful to them for this.

Overall Experience

My aunt became a resident at Youell Court nearly eighteen months ago after no longer being able to live independently in her own home. It was very important to me that we found a Christian care home for her and that there were regular Sunday services. She also enjoys activities including singing and

music. The staff are caring and compassionate and give her all the time she needs, especially as her health has deteriorated. There is good communication between staff and the family and we feel she is safe and well looked after.

Overall Experience

My mum has been well looked after at Youell Court for the last year. It is a lovely warm friendly community and my mum settled in quickly with the support of the staff who have always been very responsive and supportive. It is well managed and communication with the staff and our family is always very

good.
There are services on a Sunday which is great as Mum always attended a local church. The daily activities seem to be varied and fun and Mum is always happy and smiling, free from the anxiety she had when trying to manage life at home. As a family we feel reassured that she is safe and well looked after and feel that Youell Court was the ideal place for her at a time when she was no longer able to live at home. We are extremely thankful as a family for this lovely place and recommend it highly.

Overall Experience

The atmosphere and ambience of Youell Court is so comforting, feel of care and compassion for all residents is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble from the caring staff. Knowing your loved one is safe and secure when leaving is a huge relief. Activities available every day with a lovely church

service on a Sunday. Truly grateful for the wonderful service Youell Court offers.

Overall Experience

My father sadly passed away December, 2023. He arrived at Youell court 3 years ago and during Lockdown and Covid restrictions. Dad settled in very quickly and the manager and the team quickly made him feel right at home. It was a while before Dad could have visitors but the care team took time with

Dad to do FaceTime calls, and outside visits, followed by pod visits then eventually we were allowed to visit Dad inside the home. During all this time the manager and her team were engaged with Dad and the family. Dad was always smiling and laughing. He always looked his very best, shaved and dressed just as he was before dementia. They would post lots of photos of Dad involved with chapel service, games activities, painting and crafts. He would watch his fellow residents baking and then happily sample the cakes! I think Dad loved all the attention but most of all he felt, happy, safe and useful, he had a purpose. This made the family feel very happy we had chosen Youell Court as Dad’s home.

Overall Experience

My Father spent the final weeks of his life as a very happy and respected resident at Youell Court and it was such a blessing that a room was available for him to return to Coventry from East Sussex. He settled very quickly and always spoke highly of the care the staff the food and the cleanliness.

There were many activities but Dad often preferred to stay and enjoy his own space plus he had so many visitors. Thank you to The Salvation Army for being there when Dad was in need.

Overall Experience

My mother became a resident at Youell Court in December 2020 at the age of 103. She had been fully independent in her own home in South Wales until the age of 100, and she lived with me until she became a resident. Undoubtedly, moving to Youell Court was the best thing for all concerned. She was incredibly

well looked after in every aspect. The care and attention she received were beyond reproach. As she was a regular churchgoer all her life, the spiritual aspect of the home was very important and made her stay even more comfortable. All the staff treated her with care and understanding, and she was always full of praise for them all.

Overall Experience

My father has been at Youell Court for about 2 months. Since being there he has improved in every way and took a very short time to settle in. I have nothing but praise for the way in which he is looked after. He is treated with kindness, thoughtfulness and always receives an outstanding level of care.

I have nothing but praise for the home and all the staff. Nothing is too much trouble and myself and my family have been made to feel so welcome. During these difficult Covid times, the staff have been incredibly impressive in the way in which they have looked after the residents. I can't thank them enough for all their hard work. My father continues to feel very well cared for, safe, settled and very happy. I would also like to give a special thanks to three members of staff, in particular.

Overall Experience

My grandmother is extremely well cared for by the staff at Youell Court. It has been great to know that while we have been unable to visit due to COVID the staff have been meeting her needs in a person-centred manner. I always feel like the staff know her quirky traits and make her days all about her

rather than the routine of the home. She is well cared for, both physically and spiritually, which is one of the many reasons we chose Youell Court. Communication with Grandma can be difficult over the phone and she is not a fan of FaceTime, however, being able to get updates as and when required from staff is fabulous. A big thank you to all of the staff who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic.

Overall Experience

I was so upset when I had to make the decision of putting my Dad into full-time care. My Mum passed away and my Dad couldn’t be left on his own. I tried to look after him, but his dementia was getting too bad. For his own safety, we looked at lots of care homes but the feeling I got from Youell Court

was different. Youell Court specialises in care for dementia residents and despite the first few weeks being difficult, my Dad soon settled in and I had no worries at all. The staff don’t just care for his needs, they love him like their own family. The thing I liked about Youell Court is that they work together with families to get to know the personality and attributes of your loved one. Youell Court have lots of things happening in the day to keep their residents occupied and I honestly feel as though I made the right choice for my Dad’s future. From the bottom of my heart, I would just like to thank all of the staff at Youell Court for working so diligently during these unprecedented times - Thankyou.

My sister moved into Youell Court three and a half years ago and we have been very happy with the level of care given to her in that time. We visit regularly and have always deen good caring behaviour from both staff and management teams, If there has been anything that needs attention it is dealt with

quickly and in a friendly way. Having her in safe hands is a weight off our minds as a family. We think it is great that the residents occasionally get a "day out" which they seem to enjoy. They also benefit from the activities and religious services which take place at home.

Overall Experience

After two previous unsatisfactory homes, we found a place in Youell Court, where our mum was safe, well cared for and treated with dignity and compassion. Over the last four years, the home has significantly improved in its understanding of the complex needs of residents with multiple health conditions

including Alzheimer's. Youell Court provided a real home for our mum. They respected her cultural background and interests, providing activities that engaged her and in which she could fully participate. The staff and management were very professional and caring. The greatest compliment that we can pay the staff is that whenever we asked our mum how she was being treated, she always said ‘They are just so kind’. This was very evident on her return from hospital admissions, our mum was always very keen to return to Youell Court or as she would say ‘To Her friends’. The care our mum received at the time of her death was excellent which we as a family we hugely appreciated.

Overall Experience

As a family it was a difficult decision when the time came to arrange care for my mother, being at the age of 97 and dementia on the increase we could no longer manager her at home. Doing research Youell Court came up with her requirements. During her stay she was treated with dignity and compassion,

her personal care was excellent. Sadly, upon her death, as a family, we took comfort that she spent her final days in an environment she was comfortable with.

Mum moved here in March 2019 from another care home (which was performing badly). I am delighted with the care she is now receiving. It is a calm, homely environment and the staff are very good. Overall Experience

Having to make a difficult decision, like all of you, have, or are going to, finding a care home to look after the safety and welfare of a parent, I can not recommend Youell Court highly enough. Starting with the management, the carers and all the staff that make the 'family' that look after your loved

ones. The respect and attention shown to my father left me reassured that the care he is given, by the wonderful people that treat him correctly, "A care home" in the right sense.

Overall Experience

My Mum has been a Youell Court for 3 years. She has dementia and some physical difficulties. Staff at the home have always been welcoming, kind and friendly. There is a warmth and respect for individuals which always leaves me feeling reassured that Mum is understood and appreciated. The environment

is colourful and stimulating, always being refreshed and well maintained. The central gardens create a light airy effect and give Mum a feeling of being outside on the way to and from her bedroom. As a relative, I feel that my views are easy to communicate and acted upon.
