Broadlands

from Christine S (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother died in Broadlands at the end of March, having resided there for almost 5 years. There is nothing that the management or staff could have done to improve the care and love provided. From day one, everyone was wonderful. My mother was not easy but Broadlands treated her with the utmost respect,
patience and dignity to the very end. I, and my family have been treated likewise. It is clearly a vocation to the staff. The end of life care was perfection. Thank you.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Glebelands for the last three years. Throughout this period the level of care she has received has been outstanding. It was her decision to enter residential care, stating that she just wanted any time left to be comfortable and be well looked after. The management,
nursing staff, carers and all other areas of the home provided all of this and more.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and always making my mum smile. Always clean when I go to my mum's room and tidy and it always smells

The Manor

from P S (Son of Resident) published on 14 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I visit Mum roughly monthly and it is apparent that all of the staff, regardless of role, treat the residents with kindness, friendship and dignity but also recognise me on every visit and this all helps build up that sense of community in the home. Recently, we were able to use a reserved room for
a special family event with Mum and organise some lovely food provided from the kitchen and which contributed to a lovely afternoon which Mum really enjoyed. The ambience of The Manor has always been very high and with their lovely grounds there is much to enjoy outside with Mum when I visit with the warmer months approaching. Mum has recently referred to The Manor as 'home' and that says a lot about the standards and quality of care provided.

Tickford Abbey

from Gemma B (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 9 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

We cannot speak highly enough of the incredible care and compassion shown to my mother-in-law during a 6 month stay at Tickford Abbey. From the moment she arrived, the staff made a genuine effort to get to know her as an individual and she settled quickly.

We were impressed by the amazing range of

activities and events for the residents. From arts and crafts to music sessions and outings, there was always something happening! Plus, being able to see these activities on Tickford's wonderful social media page meant so much to us as family members who live some distance away.

The care and support provided by the home manager and all of the staff was outstanding, particularly during the more challenging moments. Their patience, empathy, and understanding was always evident particularly helping us all navigate the waters of an Alzheimer's diagnosis. We would like to extend our thanks to everyone there.
We wholeheartedly recommend Tickford to anyone seeking exceptional care for their loved one.

My mother relies heavily now on others to carry out everyday tasks. The standard of care shown is excellent and go beyond to make sure her needs are met- always coordinating in dress as as very important to mum, using pretty cup and plates, help with feeding. Always treated with respect and dignity.
Staff compassionate, caring and valued.

Very cheerful, pleasant, caring staff.
Clean, pleasant, safe environment with good facilities and lovely garden
Flexible to meet the needs of residents.
The staff member who usually organised activities was absent for the whole of November and then left - but may have now been replaced.
It took
a long time for the toilet in dad's room to be repaired. Overall facilities are good though.

The Orchards

from P L (Husband of Resident) published on 3 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My wife has been resident at The Orchards now for over 3-and-a-half years and has always received the best of care from the staff, who are kind, attentive and well-trained. Visitors are welcomed with a smile and families always kept well-informed of any changes in treatments and made to feel included
in the care package. An excellent rapport with local GPs and community nurses ensures that medical requirements are well-covered. The rooms are beautifully appointed and much above the usual standards.

Tickford Abbey

from Andrew L (Son of Resident) published on 3 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Father went into Tickford Abbey for 2 weeks to recuperate. After 2 weeks Father was looking more healthier and happier than he has for years and wanted to stay full time, which the staff are helping make happen. This isn't surprising, due to from the minute my Father and I walked into this wonderful
Home, the staff made him feel like a guest not a patient. You can tell the staff enjoy their work and being here by the way they are with all the residents and the way they treat each other, it is wonderful to see and made me feel we have done right by intrusting them with Father. I can not thank them enough for the turn around in my Father's physical and mental heath, if I had not seen this with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it. Whenever we go to see my Father we are made to feel welcome. Father always now has something new to tell me in what he been up to, from getting the questions right in the quiz, to see the pony's! Happy home, happy Father, happy life! Thank you.

We have just visited my mother at The Orchards, and were delighted to see her so happy and settled. We were greeted warmly by a member of staff, who is always friendly and welcoming, and has known mother since she first moved in.
Two members of staff were looking after mother and i was struck with
the way they were caring for her , ensuring she was able to maintain her dignity and independence as much as possible. there is a real family atmosphere on the first floor, and although we didn't meet the manager today we know that it is her leadership which makes us confident that all mother's needs, both physical and psychological, are carefully monitored and met.
Thank you to all the staff on the first floor for everything they so to support my mother, her family are very great full, kind regards.

Sharnbrook House

from Jo W (Daughter of Resident) published on 2 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Outstanding Care at Sharnbrook House
Moving a loved one into a care home is never an easy decision, but our experience with Sharnbrook House has been exceptional from the very beginning. My father joined the home in December last year, and the professionalism and warmth shown by two staff members immediately
reassured us that he was in safe hands. Their support made an incredibly difficult transition so much easier for our family.
The entire care team is genuinely lovely, and it's clear they take pride in what they do. My father is truly happy there-whether it's the delicious home-cooked meals, the engaging entertainment, or the spotless cleaning and laundry services, everything runs seamlessly. Every time I visit, I find Dad happily chatting with the staff, which is a testament to the caring environment they've created.
Sharnbrook House has exceeded our expectations and we're deeply grateful to two of the staff and the entire team for making such a positive difference in Dad's life.

I cannot recommend Sharnbrook House enough. It's never an easy decision to place a family member into a care home, but the staff are so welcoming and caring that the transition for both my mum and me has been very easy. The care, respect and patience the staff show their residents is wonderful. The
atmosphere in the home is relaxed and happy, and residents have everything they need. From personal care to making sure nutritional needs are met, everything is covered. There are communal areas that can be used for visits and beautiful gardens. Mum is settling in really well and I'm happy knowing she is receiving excellent care 24 hours a day.
