Claremont Court Care Home

Dad has been so happy at Claremont Court. Staff are caring, kind and respectful of all residents taking the time to get to know them and it feels like one big, happy family. Dad is supported to join in activities when he wants to, allowed to make his own choices about those he doesn't and clearly loves
the staff - they get a bigger smile than I do! They know his interests and preferences and support these. The staff have also been so kind and supportive of us, his family. I could not have asked for a better home for dad.

The carers treat the residents with great respect and kindness at all times, the atmosphere is friendly. It seems to me that great care is taken to make residents' lives as fulfilled and meaningful as possible even though many suffer from difficult symptoms of advanced dementia. I love the way carers
smile, wave and say hello to my mother by name as she endlessly walks up and down the corridors. She responds positively and tells me often that she doesn't know who tbe people are that walk up and down but that they are friendly and kind to her. I doubt I could easily find another home where my mother's difficult needs could be so well met.

Claremont Court is truly outstanding. We couldn't wish for our relative to be anywhere else. The staff are so very kind and we have complete peace of mind.
The staff are friendly and approachable. Importantly they treat the residents with great care and love. There is always something happening. They
have lots of people in to entertain such as singing, dancing, animals visiting and so much more... plus lots of outings.
We would highly recommend Claremont Court to anyone considering a dementia care home.

One could not wish for a better place for their loved one to reside when in the throes of Dementia. It's a happy, safe and well-led home, the Claremont Court team are all fantastic, we see the same faces on the team as we did over two years ago, that really says something about the environment and
ensures continuity of care. This home sets the standard of care you would expect!

My Mum is having some respite care after falling and breaking her hip in January.
She is being well cared for and the staff are all very kind and friendly.
She has enjoyed joining in some of the activities when she has felt well enough to do so. She has found some days that the food choices are
not to her taste and the nights are quite noisy with buzzers waiting to be answered.
But overall she is happy and would choose Queen Elizabeth Park again if needed.

My father has been at QEP for a couple of months. He is wheelchair bound, catheterised and has very limited sight. For the first few weeks he was quite agitated in his new surroundings and it took him a while to get used to new staff helping him. But now he does seem more settled and in fact has gained
some weight which is encouraging.
The staff caring for him seem really friendly and kind and they really try and get him involved in the activities - most of which he does seem to enjoy even though he sometimes falls asleep in them.
At weekends there seem to be less activities and maybe this is something that could be improved on? When I run out of conversation during visits, we love doing crosswords together. Could the ones available in the bistro area be "updated" more frequently please? I try and remember to bring one or two with me but I often forget so having more of a choice available would be helpful.
Overall I am very pleased with the care my father is receiving.

The staff are always welcoming and responsive to any requests I make on behalf of my husband . They take time to understand the needs of their residents. There are times when the kitchen facilities on the upper floor could do with a spring clean

My mother had to move to Queen Elizabeth last August as a matter of emergency because her house became unsafe. The staff were very accommodating and helpful in finding a room for her and in settling her in. Since then she has been cared for very well , both physically and psychologically. I know this
has challenges because of her dementia. She enjoys the meals, and everyone is very kind to her. The home always looks nice and is kept spotlessly clean. There are plenty of activities, even though she doesn't always join in.

My mother moved to QEP in February 2025 and she has lived there for the past six weeks or so. The manager was so kind and attentive during the settling in period , it made the process much easier . She was transferred directly from hospital and at first she found the transition quite difficult.
The
warm and friendly atmosphere supported her so well. The staff team work together with such kindness . Nothing is too much trouble. The life at QEP provides a whole array of interesting activities to choose from . The care home is spotless , homely and safe. Although my mother is still in the settling in period, I am confident that, with the support of the staff she will come to love it . From living independently , into hospital and then into a care home is a big step for anyone but I am so glad we chose QEP . It gives the family such a sense of relief that mum is having the best care .

Finding the right care home for my father has been a tricky problem and this is his 3rd home in the space of 5 months but from day 1 since he has been at Claremont Court we knew we had found the right place. The staff are all lovely, friendly and thoughtful. There is always lots of activities. His bedroom
is bright, sunny and spacious. I only have high praise for this home.

Claremont Court provides a wonderful and safe enviroment that allows all residents to thrive.
It is well managed and well organised. The staff are lovely, so engaged and caring to the residents. They always remember residents favourite songs, activities and interests.
Any of our friend and family who
visit my husband comment on the warmth and friendliness of the Home.
The cleaning staff keep the home immaculate and I really don't know how the lovely laundry staff keep up with their mountainous workload.
I would thoroughly recommend Claremont Court to anyone looking for dementia care for a loved one.

Not only do they take superb care of my mum, they have also taken great care of my sister and I. They appreciate that care can stretch beyond the needs of the resident.
The staff are caring, knowledgeable, professional and very very caring and kind. I can't recommend Acorn

On each of our visits before Mum moved in, which was only a week ago, we were greeted warmly by all the members of staff that we met. All the team were knowledgeable and clearly well versed in looking after frail residents.
This is a new experience for us so we need to lean heavily on the team. All
our questions about the home, the room, activities, the arrangements with the GP etc. were handled promptly with as much clarity as was possible. Throughout our contact we felt that we could approach the team for help and not be wasting their time.
In view of Mums Dementia any change of scene is a potential challenge but she seems to have settled in quite well in the short time she has been at the home. This speaks well of how the interaction by the team has been undertaken.

Above and beyond support during an extremely difficult time. Staff support was increased and availability/ contact with the relevant staff was smooth and timely. Staff who don't even work on the same floor as 'our' floor showed care and concern, reflecting the 'family' ethos prevalent throughout the
home

My father has improved so much since he has been at Claremont court. He is socialising , getting involved in activities and walking alot more. None of which was happening before he moved there. He seems to be so settled and happy and everytime I visit he says how well the staff look after him. I find
the staff team very friendly and helpful. Well done to the Claremont court team.
