Cranford Grange

My father's dementia over Christmas became more acute and we realised he was unsafe at home. One member of staff and the fantastic team worked quickly to accommodate him for 4 weeks while the family began planning.
The care he received was excellent and after a week he quickly settled in. The staff
were always friendly, professional and helpful. Dad very quickly became stable again thanks to their care.
As a nurse myself it was lovely to observe how gentle, kind and patient the staff were with the residents even during challenging moments. There was always plenty of staff around.
We were able to bring dad home with family care and support but should the situation change i would have no hesitation in contacting the staff member and Cranford Grange again.
I would definitely recommend this home to anyone. Thank you to all the team.

My father is staying here for end of life care. He has received a lot of encouragement from the staff to be involved in activities and went from being bed ridden to walking about and chatting with the lovely staff members. He is happy here and is safe to wonder about with no risk of getting outside.
It is very clean and tidy, staff work hard and are friendly. They have a resident bunny too.

Mum has been at Cranford Grange for 17 months, having gone initially for some respite. The team at Cranford Grange are truly wonderful, happy, professional, approachable and clearly enjoy working there. Mum is so settled and safe now and it is down to the wonderful care she receives. She joins in with
the activities, social events and enjoys the company of the other residents.

My father made the decision to become a permanent resident at Cranford Grange, having successfully lived independently for some time. This was a huge change for him but it has all gone really smoothly, thanks to the dedicated and caring staff. From the moment we made the decision to the time of moving
in, we felt supported and valued.
He is really enjoying the sociable meal times and the many and varied activities.
Staff from all departments take an interest in his welfare and ensure that he is well looked after.
Even before the refurbishment was completed, Cranford Grange offered superb facilities. Now it is absolutely wonderful. I have found that there are opportunities for the residents to share their opinions and suggest activities that they would like. We feel very welcome when we visit too.
The team at Cranford clearly do care for the residents and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a care home.

Deewater Grange

from Nigel C (Son of Resident) published on 19 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My mum is a resident at Deewater Grange Care Home, and has been a resident for 2 years. Mum was initially in the general care area, but as her needs changed is now in dementia care. She is most definitely happy and settled. Both admin and care staff are very friendly and helpful, and I think, as a relative,
it helps to develop a relationship with the staff, as your specific requests then become more like a conversation. Mum's room and facilities generally are super-modern, spacey and well laid out. There are lounges and a cafe on site, which means a change of scenery is possible during a visit. I would recommend Deewater Grange to family or friends.

Thank you so much for making my mum feel so welcome at Deewater Grange. She came for two weeks of respite care, arriving tired and in need of some TLC, which all the staff went above and beyond to deliver. The staff took time to get to know mum and understand her needs. Her room was very comfortable,
and the food was fantastic. Any questions or worries mum had were dealt with quickly, and mum felt listened to, and nothing was too much trouble. She enjoyed some of the many activities that are available there, and it was a great way to get to know some of the other residents. Mum went home, much more relaxed and recharged, and looking forward to (hopefully) visiting again in January for more respite care after an operation.

Hollins Park

from Julie O (Wife of Resident) published on 8 November 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My husband moved into Hollins Park in April 2024 after 3 months in hospital. He has settled in brilliantly. The care and attention he is receiving shows how at home he feels. The transition in his personality and general wellbeing has been amazing. This has definitely been down to the management
and staff and that includes EVERYONE.
I spend a lot of time at the home and I see how ALL the staff interact with the residents. There is a genuine feel of care and love and nothing is too much trouble.
The home has a very homely relaxed family aura about it.
All the staff are very approachable and are happy to answer any queries or problems.
Best decision I have ever made!!!

Hollins Park

from E K (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 November 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Writing this review is a challenge, as I wish to show the deeper significance of Hollins Park. It represents something profoundly meaningful to my family and me.
When my mum arrived at Hollins Park as a complex case we were filled with anxiety about her moving into a care home. However, we were gently
guided through the process, which eased our fears.
As my mum nears the end of her journey, I can confidently say that Hollins Park will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
What sets Hollins Park apart is an indescribable quality - care, consideration and a personalised touch that permeate every aspect of the home. Staff expertly balance professionalism with a family-like atmosphere and nurturing environment. The sense of community at Hollins Park ensures that residents never feel isolated or alone, making it a truly supportive place.
To me Hollins Park is not just a care home; it's a compassionate community that has made a lasting impact on our family at a challenging time.

Pinetum staff are all absolutely fabulous, I cannot thank them enough for the kindness, care, patience, understanding & empathy they have shown my 88-year-old mum. She loves them all, her confidence has grown within the home, and all her needs are met & more. The level of care is of the highest standard,
and I totally & utterly recommend Pinetum, especially the fabulous staff! To say they go "above & beyond" is an understatement. Caring staff who really do care. The food is also "amazing", homemade & my mum has eaten things she wouldn't even have tried if I had made them and thoroughly enjoyed every time! Thank you so much Pinetum for caring so much.

My mother-in-law was transferred to Pinetum from the hospital, from being greeted at the door to being taken to her room, she was made really welcome. All staff have been professional, kind and reassuring to my mother-in-law and all her visitors. They ensured she was treated with dignity and as an individual
at all times. The cleanliness of the room is very high standard as is the home, mother-in-law thinks she's in a hotel as the food is nice.
