Cranford Grange

I had to make the very difficult decision where to place my husband for end of life care .
He was in hospital for 6 weeks after discovering he had a brain tumour and then moved to Cranford Grange . The care and kindness he received at Cranford Grange was beyond expectation. He was treated with respect
by all staff . They went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and cared for . They also supported us through the last days of his life . For which we were very grateful.
The home is run professionally and all the residents seem very content .
I would highly recommend Cranford Grange .

Cranford Grange

from Brian D (Nephew of Resident) published on 10 April 2025

Making the decision to move your loved one from their own home to a Care home is one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make but from the first call with the manager at Cranford Grange my mind was put at ease and I was reassured I was dealing with someone who actually cared and was interested.
One of my main concerns was how hard or difficult it would be but again from a quick chat the whole process was explained in full detail and the feeling of a weight being lifted was immediate.
When my Aunt arrived at the home we were both greeted and shown to her room, we were allowed to settle in and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
A week later my Aunt is really happy, she's a different lady she tells me all about her day, her meals and walks me round showing me the beautiful floral displays, I attended today and she was sat in the coffee lounge having a Latte and looked so happy,
It will always be a tough decision but the manager and her team make that transition so much easier.

My sister moved into Station House on the 22nd March. She was originally in another home in Liverpool which only had 2 other residents living in there.
I was little worried when my sister moved into Station House.
Since my sister moved myself and all the family could not be more happier. My sister
is loving living there.Staff are amazing and treat my sister with respect .
The staff involve my sister in all activities and let family know what my sister has done with her day.
We were all invited to join the website.
Food is prepared fresh and great
quality. The coffee bar is great for us to have drinks and cake.
I can not thank your wonderful staff for making my sister transition from small home to a large home a wonderful experience.
Kind regards.

This care home has a genuine warmth and amazing staff at every level.

I can see that Mum is receiving exceptional nursing care and I believe this has helped her to get the most that she can out of life, despite the challenges of her condition.

Just as importantly, I can see that she is being

treated as the unique person that she is and, that she is valued and respected by her nurses and carers.

As a relative I have felt supported at every stage of Mum's journey and have really valued the transparency and expertise of the team as I have had to navigate areas that are new to me (from health decisions to funding) and nothing has been too much trouble for any of them.

My family and I have felt welcome every time we have walked through the door and my young child in particular, looks forward to seeing 'her friends' (the carers) as well as Nana, when she visits.

Although of course we wish Mum didn't need a care home at all, we count ourselves extremely lucky to have found this one.

My father's dementia over Christmas became more acute and we realised he was unsafe at home. One member of staff and the fantastic team worked quickly to accommodate him for 4 weeks while the family began planning.
The care he received was excellent and after a week he quickly settled in. The staff
were always friendly, professional and helpful. Dad very quickly became stable again thanks to their care.
As a nurse myself it was lovely to observe how gentle, kind and patient the staff were with the residents even during challenging moments. There was always plenty of staff around.
We were able to bring dad home with family care and support but should the situation change i would have no hesitation in contacting the staff member and Cranford Grange again.
I would definitely recommend this home to anyone. Thank you to all the team.

My father is staying here for end of life care. He has received a lot of encouragement from the staff to be involved in activities and went from being bed ridden to walking about and chatting with the lovely staff members. He is happy here and is safe to wonder about with no risk of getting outside.
It is very clean and tidy, staff work hard and are friendly. They have a resident bunny too.

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My father made the decision to become a permanent resident at Cranford Grange, having successfully lived independently for some time. This was a huge change for him but it has all gone really smoothly, thanks to the dedicated and caring staff. From the moment we made the decision to the time of moving
in, we felt supported and valued.
He is really enjoying the sociable meal times and the many and varied activities.
Staff from all departments take an interest in his welfare and ensure that he is well looked after.
Even before the refurbishment was completed, Cranford Grange offered superb facilities. Now it is absolutely wonderful. I have found that there are opportunities for the residents to share their opinions and suggest activities that they would like. We feel very welcome when we visit too.
The team at Cranford clearly do care for the residents and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a care home.

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My mum is a resident at Deewater Grange Care Home, and has been a resident for 2 years. Mum was initially in the general care area, but as her needs changed is now in dementia care. She is most definitely happy and settled. Both admin and care staff are very friendly and helpful, and I think, as a relative,
it helps to develop a relationship with the staff, as your specific requests then become more like a conversation. Mum's room and facilities generally are super-modern, spacey and well laid out. There are lounges and a cafe on site, which means a change of scenery is possible during a visit. I would recommend Deewater Grange to family or friends.
