Whitefarm Lodge

from James C (Son of Resident) published on 18 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Whitefarm Lodge was unknown to the family until my mother was moved there from hospital. It seems to meet all the requirements my mother needs because of her mobility and dementia issues. Although it is quite large the fact that residents are divided up into small groups is a big plus.
Every member
of staff is wonderful and very helpful.
The family are very happy with the move from hospital and it is likely to be a long term colusion

The Care this facility provides to my mother is outstanding. Having worked in a health care setting for decades I know what constituents a good working environment. Since my mum has been in the home near on 7 years, other than an occasional new face the same team members and manager have remained. This
shows good management and staff wellbeing must be a consideration as it shows in their work. They look after my mum exceptionally well and I never worry when I leave her. Top tier

Foxbridge House

from T O (Son of Resident) published on 17 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I have always been very pleased with the overall support and care that my mum has received since she moved from her previous care home in Lewisham. My wife and I brought mum down to the cafe on the ground floor, which is pleasant space used by family and friends. The drinks and snacks provided are always
of good quality and plentiful. If I had a slight criticism on the day, it was that mum's hair looked like it need a wash, but overall the quality of care is good, and would always highly recommend Foxbridge Home.

Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Foxbridge House

We also value your constructive comment regarding your mum’s hair, and we apologise if this has been an area of concern during your visits. We will ensure that our team continues to focus on all aspects of personal care to ensure that every resident feels comfortable at all times.

We are grateful for your recommendation and will continue striving to maintain the high standards of care that we pride ourselves in providing at Care UK. Should you have any additional concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Home Manager, or any of the team at Foxbridge House, who will be more than happy to assist you further.

Sherwood Grange

from Sarah M (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Mum came to Sherwood Grange for her second respite stay From December 2024 to January 2025. As before, the staff were very helpful when planning and getting ready for her arrival. The whole team were so friendly and welcoming, and the facilities are of the highest standard. Suffering with dementia,
mum was anxious and scared. The Carers took the time to re-assure her , to make her feel safe and welcome. The environment and facilities are spotless, the fixtures and fittings are good quality. The menu is delicious, the food well-cooked and presented to restaurant standards. The activities are well thought out. But all this would count for nothing without the kindness and attentiveness of all the staff, from the Cleaners, to the Carers, Team Leaders, Reception and Customer Relations staff.

Sherwood Grange

Mum was very tired after multiple hospital stays and being discharged prematurely. Her care team at home are excellent but the coming and going of multiple bodies had left her very weary. She needed some respite to get back her feeling of self worth. This is exactly what Sherwood Grange provided her
with. Mum looks and feels rejuvenated after her stay. A super new hairstyle, the enjoyment of spending time with her fellow residents and generally feeling pampered. A wonderful stay!

Review of

Forrester Court

from Maria C (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother was transferred from hospital to Forrester Court following a severe stroke, which left her immobile ,with Apraxia and sadly, with a range of hospital acquired infections and a hospital acquired Category 3 bedsore. The admission to Forrester Court was 'seamless' and the whole team made my mother
and me feel welcome, safe and comfortable. Although she was only there for a short time, during her stay my mother was cared for by a wonderful group of people, the carers, nurses, the palliative care team, housekeeping and catering staff, as well as everyone in 'admin' and she was treated with dignity and respect, and I can truly say, with love. Furthermore, all the staff at Forrester Court extended their compassion and care to me at a difficult time. I could see this compassion extended to all the residents and their relatives. As much as I shall miss my mother, I have to say, I shall also miss everyone at Forrester Court too.

My mum has been in Charlotte House for six months. She is 93 with Alzheimer's and very active, this can be a challenge! The staff have been patient and kind and my brothers. I have felt very welcome when we visit.

Review of

Smyth Lodge

from Catherine T (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our father had been a resident at Smyth Lodge for about 17 months before he sadly died in January this year and the care he received was outstanding to the extent that the carers didn't just care for him, they loved him. The staff were very kind and patient with him as he had dementia and they called
him 'Mr Grateful' as he was exactly that, always thanking them for everything they did to make him as comfortable as possible. I would recommend Smyth Lodge to anyone looking for somewhere for a family member. I should also add the staff were always supportive to the family members and a number of them have said they would like to attend his funeral. He will make his final journey from the care home to the church for the funeral service - a testament to how much we have appreciated everything the staff did for him.

Woodland Hall

from Z S (Daughter of Resident) published on 24 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother was admitted in November 2023 at Woodland Hall Care Home in Stanmore. I was very upset, because it is too far from my place and I was not able to visit her often due to my health condition. I am visiting her once a month and not upset anymore, because I see each time my Mother is looked after
very well, with clean clothes, nice bed, good food. It is a very good care home, pleasant atmosphere, clean and nice, very kind carers and helpfu management.

Your staff allowed my brother to die with dignity in his room where he was safe and very well looked after. Thank you to all the staff. My family are very thankful.
