We moved our Mother into Davers Court in January 2025 after a very short wait. The team made the transition so easy and our mother settled in very quickly.
The home is warm, inviting, stimulating for all the residents.the food they have is amazing, always a selection on the menu.
The staff could not
be more helpful, always willing to chat, sort out any queries we might have and go over and beyond their duties.
We are kept informed via the app on what is happening, together with an email each week of the activities on offer.
We are very happy with the care our mother is getting.

Kentford Manor

from A P (Partner of Resident) published on 12 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

During both the short & long 4 weeks, that my partner received End of Life Care at Kentford Manor, for me, one service provided stood out. Kentford is not like a hospice. It is a large purpose built home, in which the precious end of a person's life could easily be lost, amongst the other provision.
Upside of this, is the business can afford to employ a Customer Care manager, part of whose responsibility is supporting two way communication with family, loved ones, the service user and others. Had this person not been there to mediate, the loss of my partner would be even more difficult to face than it is. Professionally neutral, she remains extraordinarily empathic, intuitive, considerate, caring and kind. I hope she never loses her touch, as the service she provides is indispensable.I cannot thank the home enough for their gentle and inclusive welcome, ensuring that the quality of my last hours with the deceased, were as good, for both of us as possible, under the circumstances.

He has been at Mills Meadow since December 2022. He really loves living there and feels very well looked after and cared for. His weeks are always full with activities, socialising and meals in the dining room. He has a lovely view from his room which is important to him as he's lived in the area all
his life.

I have been very impressed with the care and dedication given to residents, always with a smile and a cheery word. I visit at least once a week and there is always some form of entertainment especially music related which is well attended and enjoyed by all and mini bus trips out are very much appreciated
sometimes to a pub or to the seaside.

I'm absolutely blown away by the care my husband has had since he became a resident, not only for him but for how I'm thought of too with everything.
This was one of the hardest decisions to make and the most emotional time to face. The support and guidance has been outstanding by everyone, from the
care my husband is given, to the daily food choices available including their wonderful little cafe, which even family and friends can use when visiting too. There is always a great choice of daily activities to take part in as well. One of the most impressive things alongside the outstanding care, is the cleanliness throughout the whole place, I honestly can't fault a thing. The staff have done wonders to help build my husband's confidence again at what has been one of the hardest and most anxious times. I really can't thank them enough and feel so blessed to have found Asterbury Place.

My nan was 1st moved here in May 2023, and always said "Don't ever put me in a home". She spent 18 months on the Rose Unit specialising in dementia where she thrived, started eating again, laughing, and being her normal sometimes rude nan. All the staff treat her and all the residents like family, my
nan calls them her mates, she swapped over to nursing in November 24 and took a little while to adjust as much calmer on there but seems to enjoy it now. She has the benefit of being allowed to spend time on Rose but has the nursing available on Robin, the home is spotlessly clean, and the cleaners always chat and interact with the residents as well as the kitchen staff again they come out and chat with nan, it's like 1 big family.

Cleves Place Care Home is a very warm welcoming care home, supporting and deep meaningful care provided for our dear Dad. He has been through a lot of changes with his health deteriorating over the years with our Mum being the carer for him. He has settled in very well as he has a lovely room looking

A real comfort knowing that my parents are safe, warm, well fed and looked after in their twilight time

Mildenhall Lodge

from A G (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum has been residing at Mildenhall Lodge for nearly a year now. The difference in her is amazing. Mum has dementia, and from being someone who was so anxious, isolating herself away from others, not eating properly, etc - she is now going on group outings, she has made friends, is eating properly and
is happy!
I live some distance away so can't visit as much as I would like but I know the staff will contact me if there are concerns. I can see her regularly on social media, doing things that I never thought I would see again.
The staff are so conscientious and cheerful. The home always smells nice and clean, and you can see how much pride and care has been invested in it.
My brother visited yesterday when she was looking forward to bangers and mash for lunch and said it was a brilliant visit.
I really can't praise Mildenhall Lodge enough, and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is worried about an elderly relative. Thank you.

Reply from Hannah Nurse, Home Manager at Mildenhall Lodge

Thank you for your lovely review!
I am so pleased this first year has gone so well for you, Mum and your family. Mum seems to have settled into the home really well and making lots of friends and relationships which is lovely.
I will pass your comments on to the team.

My wife has settled in quickly, much to my surprise she is back to her happy self. It appears that everyone treats her and my family with the utmost compassion which is all I could wish for.
Since being there she is clean! Her bed is always clean and the room is spotless! I have been there when staff
have had to clean her up after an accident with her toilet and the empathy and efficiency shown was excellent!
I have noticed everyone smiles and that makes a tremendous difference to everyone. Her clothes are well-kept and very clean.
Moving my wife to Asterbury Place on January 2nd is the best thing I have done! The catering is good and the whole premises exude a feeling of well-being.
