We were so fortunate to have Dad at Stanecroft after weeks of searching for a suitable place. They are experts when it comes to dementia and he settled quickly and was very comfortable.
For me, the people there are a cut above the rest. They just treat patients like family. It's very heartwarming to
have such an engaged group of caregivers for your loved one.
I'm very pleased and grateful for our experience with Dad, and would be happy to fully recommend them to anyone thinking of them as a care home in the Dorking area

What a wonderful afternoon! (Pre-Valentine love week)
The thought inspiration and work which went into the Valentine's quiz event was mind-boggling. It was a great quiz with very tempting rewards! It got everyone thinking and was well presented. This was accompanied by booze and the most splendid
strawberry tea, enhanced with rose petals. Gave us all a splendid treat!

I visit often to come and see several dear friends who reside here. I am always so impressed with the welcome I receive from all the staff, from upper management right through to those dedicated carers who all take the time to talk, smile and most of all, it shows how much they love what they do. All
my friends I visit are so grateful for all the love and care they receive. I recommend everyone I know to come here.

Greenview Hall

from J L (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

Overall we are very happy with the care provided. The resident of the month is a good idea but the notes made on the care plan are not always followed up or enacted. We would suggest some of the activities could be focused more on those with active minds to encourage more socialising. The staff are
very willing to help and show competence in what they do. Sometimes my dad doesn't ask for help or is reticent to accept it when offered, this is no fault of the staff! Thank you to the whole team for their care and perseverance. I would be glad if extra support could be offered to them eg massage/occasional treat.

Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Greenview Hall

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for Greenview Hall. I am pleased to read you are happy with the care provided to your dad, your kind words will be greatly appreciated by the team. I would also like to thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention and for providing your feedback. I would like to assure this has been fed back to the Home Manager and they will review your concerns. At Care UK, we hold ourselves to high standards and I would like to assure you that the Home Manager will be welcoming to any feedback so please do feel able to discuss your concerns with them. Whenever I visit my mother-in-law at Broadwater Lodge, I always find her happy and well cared for.
Every member of staff I've had contact with is extremely professional, approachable and kind.
There is always something going on to engage the residents, from film night to nursery children visiting,
to quizzes and visiting singers.
As a family, we could not be happier with the care and dignity given to my mother-in-law.
Thank you everyone at Broadwater Lodge.

Broadwater Lodge has looked after my friend with great diligence and taken good care of him. If they have any concerns, they communicate them to me quickly. The staff are always approachable, friendly and clearly have the best interests of the residents at heart. There are a lot of activities that take
place; it is a fun place. And yet for those who wish to be alone, there are many spaces to do so. The stimulation provided by the animals outside cannot be overestimated. My friend has become happier than I would have thought possible having been at Broadwater Lodge; a great place!

My mother entered Jubilee House in December in palliative care. The staff were fantastic. From the moment the manager came to assess mum, through admission and settling in, nothing was too much trouble. She is now in good hands, safe, well fed and her medication well organised. As we approach end of
life, they have again been superb, with sensitive and caring support both for mum and the family. Just a wonderful place for the elderly.

Broadwater Lodge

from Kevin J (Son of Resident) published on 30 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Up until March 2024, my mother had spent 5 years living in the home, until sadly she died. Mum joined just as Covid started. Bearing in mind I had to make the decision for Mum to go in a home, this was the worst possible time for this to happen, especially as she spent 2 weeks in a hospital without
access to myself. Difficult for Mum, and incredibly hard for myself and my wife, especially considering the the restrictions that were imposed.
More importantly, the pressure that the staff in the care home were under was so ridiculously high. And yet, they did not fail to deliver an outstanding service for all the residents at a cost to themselves and their own families.
So few people witnessed this including the government. I witnessed it and I will be forever grateful to all the staff and Care UK for an exceptional gift of giving, love, warmth, genuine caring for the vulnerable, which one of them was, my mum.

I regularly visit my father-in-law who has been at Broadwater for almost a year now. I am always impressed by the attitude of the staff and they are always so attentive to the residents. I am also impressed with the activities on offer and during December there was a whole variety of entertainment
in the lead up to Christmas. I have been fortunate enough to support my father-in-law at a local Christmas Party, and a summer Sports Day. It is great to see the residents smiling and enjoying different activities.

Norfolk House

from Sheila B (Daughter of Resident) published on 20 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Mother was a resident of Norfolk House for almost 7 years.
We have always been happy with her care. The staff have looked after her and taken care of all her needs exceptionally well.
As her care needs developed they upped their level of care. Always at a very high standard.
I think they helped
her to make it to the amazing age of 97!
She has recently passed away. And her end-of-life care was dealt with kindness and consideration for her and myself. (Her daughter).
Myself and my family have always been made to feel welcome at the home.

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My experience with Norfolk house has been nothing but positive. The safety, communication, person-centred care, activities, cleanliness, facilities and food quality were all of an exceptional standard. The staff are well trained in all aspects and also genuinely compassionate kind and responsive. My
grandmother got to know and trust the staff who advocated for her and picked up signals very quickly if she became unwell. She thought the care home was her flat which just shows how safe and comfortable she felt. It was nice to be able to feel reassured she was being looked after so well. In particular, the end-of-life care to my grandma afforded her dignity, safety and comfort. In the last week of her life, I was there a lot the staff were very kind and caring towards myself and my grandmother. The care and support provided was consistently excellent the whole time.

My father stayed at the care home for a month for respite and convalescence, and we were extremely pleased with the experience. His room was spacious and well-equipped with a large en-suite bathroom, providing a comfortable environment. The staff were consistently kind, friendly and attentive, adapting
to his changing care needs with ease. The food was excellent, though the portions were quite generous, something that might be a plus for many. We also appreciated the warm welcome extended to family visitors at any time. Overall, the care provided was to be commended.

My brother and I had to find a residential home for our mother when she became unable to look after herself due to advanced Dementia. This involved relocating her from 160 miles away - a big change for us all, and the staff were incredibly understanding and kind to both her and my brother and I.
Mum's
room is cosy, clean and comfortable with views over the garden. All members of staff are welcoming and kind and are excellent with Mum, having endless patience. This has helped Mum to settle in quickly. I always feel like she's well cared for and that the staff know her really well. I would highly recommend Milner House, thank you to all the staff for the amazing job you do!
