Dad lived at Mayfield for the last 18 months of his life. He settled in well and received incredibly kind and compassionate care from all the staff. He enjoyed taking part in the many activities. He had a lovely room which was very cosy and always clean. All the staff were very friendly towards him
and all who visited. During his final days - he was very well cared for and I am incredibly grateful to all the staff who went the extra mile to not only look after Dad but the family visiting as well.

The staff looking after Dad/Gramps always went above and beyond. The care, commitment and compassion is evident as soon as you walk through the door and meet the helpful reception staff. This continued on the floor where Dad had a room with a fantastic view and was able to watch the sunset many times.
He enjoyed the varied activity events especially the singing sessions where he got to do a quite a few solos! Dad also enjoyed the home cooked food and everyone worked so hard to make him comfortable and nourish his strong independent spirit. Wishing you all well for the future in the great work you do.

My experience of Seacroft Green has been very positive. Indeed, I can't fault it. They go out of their way to make the residents as clean, comfortable and happy as possible. Only tonight, they helped my mother celebrate her 89th birthday, congregating in her room to sing happy birthday to her, getting
her some cards and even baking her a cake. I guess they don't have to do that, but they did and it is much appreciated.

My wife became a resident in September 2024 after spending one month in hospital ending in a diagnosis of Alzheimer's.
During this period my daughter and I researched six care homes in the local area before making a decision. It is true to say that the decision to choose Seacroft Grange Care Village
was mainly influenced by the quality of staff seen on a number of visits.
The building has a welcoming presence from reception through to the common areas and bedrooms.
We were particularly impressed by the carers who show genuine care and enthusiasm for the charges in their care which is supported by evidently a very capable management team, who co-incidentally show equal interest in the concerns of the relatives of the residents (an enormous plus point in our view).
The wellness team performs an essential task in motivating the residents to participate in group and individual activities, not seen in some other care homes we viewed.

I am extremely happy with the care my mother receives. As I live in London and only get to visit my mother every couple of weeks I am content knowing that she is being very well looked after and that she is happy.
She gets on extremely well with the team who I know give her all the attention she requires
and are very fond of her.

Mayfield View

from Ruth D (Daughter of Resident) published on 24 September 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My father moved into Mayfield View after a fall, a stay in hospital and with increasingly bad dementia. The staff were so kind, patient and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble! They cared for me as a person and for my dad as a person right to the end of his life. They treated us both with dignity
and human kindness. The room was kept immaculate, despite my father being bed-bound. Attempts were made to interest him by providing books and DVDs. They patiently fed him when he could no longer do this. They changed him into a day shirt in the daytime and pjs at night time to help him orientate in time. They provided a bed extension within 24 hours of his arrival as he was tall. Just wonderful care and so reassuring to me who had cared for him at home until his fall. He was 92.

When my mother's dementia necessitated her moving to a care home, my daughter and I visited Seacroft Green and immediately knew that this was the perfect place for her care. The friendly community atmosphere was immediately apparent, and she was flooded with kindness and attention from the cheerful
nursing staff and carers from her first day. Unfortunately, after almost 12 months, Mum's health deteriorated, but she was cared for with kindness, professionalism and dignity until the end. I have no hesitation in recommending Seacroft Green.

Staff are very caring and genuinely care about the residents needs. Grounds are very well kept and was lovely to see some of the residents in the grounds planting flowers. Would highly recommend. The little cafe is a great touch which seems to be used frequently.

The staff are friendly and take great care of my mum. I don't live near the home so the staff always make sure I get a video call from my mum once a week. Mum feels safe and looked after in the home and her family are happy that she is able to enjoy her remaining years.

Lovely and welcoming home. Very friendly, bright, clean and modern which is located in a nice, quiet setting. Lots of facilities nearby.
Staff, nurses, admin and managers have been so helpful in looking after my friend. His daily needs are very well catered for. Privacy is respected and there are regular,
fun communal activities for all residents.
Everyone has been incredibly helpful in assisting with essential paperwork as well and has made personal contact with me when any issues have arisen.
And the coffee is good! Highly recommended.

Mum went into Mayfield in February 2024 due to recent falls at home where she had been living independently on her own since my father passed away 7 years ago.
The process was easy to understand, supportive and professional from the start. The staff were attentive, and caring and allowed my mum to
settle in and despite her health challenges she was safe, cared for and happy in her new environment.
Her health deteriorated unfortunately but with the support of staff and the local GP service her needs were met for the few months she remained at Mayfield.
On behalf of our family, I thank all the staff, too many to mention, for looking after Mum in the last few months of her life.
Kindest regards.

My mother has been a resident for more than 5 years and as I live far away and can’t visit regularly, I gain comfort that my mother is well cared for and her needs met on a daily basis. There is genuine affection from the carers and her dignity is respected as her dependency increases. The management
team are very approachable and work hard to keep residents engaged with a programme of daily activities, as well as arranging regular video calls to keep relatives and friends who wish to participate informed of such topics as the status of staff recruitment, planned activities, care home upkeep etc.

The care and support provided to my father, who initially went to Mayfield View for a 4-week respite stay and then remained there, was excellent. All staff, from receptionists to carers to the maintenance person were positive and nothing asked was too much trouble. I can say no better than that, if
and when I need a care home Mayfield View will be at the top of my list!

My ma is slipping deeply into her dementia. We are working together with the home to ensure she is safe and as independent as she can be. She tends to clutter her room up, so we've together removed some items. She is now under DOL which is great, as I know she's safe. The staff are excellent, patient-centred,
and genuinely care about the residents
