My father has been at Ayton House for 2 1/2 months now and was one of the first residents. It was a big change for him and we were nervous how he would settle in but overall we're happy that he's settled in well. The main thing is that he's well looked after and is happy and at Ayton House, he is.

Mountfitchet House

from Graham A (Son of Resident) published on 19 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

We would like to thank everyone at Mountfitchet House for the care and empathy that all staff showed to our mum / wife, during her stay at your facility.
Mum arrived at Mountfitchet House post her operation at Stevenage Lister Hospital. Mountfitchet House was always our first choice for Mums care
because of the amazing reviews that had posted about your facilities and the proximity to where Mum and Dad lived.. The approach and delivery show real compassion and understanding or ours, and mums needs. Having moved mum into the home, this empathy and tireless dedication shown by all the staff to Mum, Dad and the rest of the family was really very kind and of great comfort to us knowing that Mum was in a safe environment.
Mum's time at Mountfitchet House came to an end all too soon, again the compassion during her last days and then the day of her leaving, the care, dignity and emotion displayed, the guard of honour assembled was so humbling to us

Dad lived at Mayfield for the last 18 months of his life. He settled in well and received incredibly kind and compassionate care from all the staff. He enjoyed taking part in the many activities. He had a lovely room which was very cosy and always clean. All the staff were very friendly towards him
and all who visited. During his final days - he was very well cared for and I am incredibly grateful to all the staff who went the extra mile to not only look after Dad but the family visiting as well.

My mother has been a resident of Manor Lodge for a year now and ever since the beginning we have been pleasantly surprised with the care that she has received both for her physical health as well as her mental health which is such a relief for the whole family because you hear of some horror stories

They ensure activities are available for all levels of ability and involvement of the family is always considered. We sleep well knowing that they are doing their best for her.

Fabulous care home - all the staff that care for our Mum are wonderful. There are lots of activities for the residents to join in with and we are kept up to date with what's happening. We are very happy with the care and attention that Mum gets.

Chichester Grange

My sister has a profound learning disability and finding the best possible care has been challenging. I need not have worried as I found Chichester Grange! My sister has settled very well and all her needs are met and care exceeded. Thankfully she has settled well and all the staff are so friendly and
welcoming. She is very happy in her new surroundings and for someone who has always lived at home with parents, this is high praised indeed.

Mowat Court

from John C (Son of Resident) published on 19 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum has been in Mowat Court now for five months and I can't imagine anywhere better for her in this locality. I visited several options before settling on Mowat Court and am very glad we did. Unlike the others, there was nobody here waltzing about in a suit with a clip-board. The emphasis is very
much on the clinical care of the residents, and the staff are just superb. When mum arrived, she was in a precarious state, bed-ridden and requiring assistance with virtually every function. She was unable to hold a knife and fork and I'd been attending to her and feeding her since my father (who was her carer) had passed on. A few months later, mum is feeding herself and has even put on some weight. I have a photograph of her on Christmas Day where she is sitting in the lounge at Mowat Court wearing Rudolph antlers on her head and quaffing a glass of Pinot Grigio like she was a teenager! I feel fortunate to have mum here and the staff all feel like family - they are simply the best!

Whitefarm Lodge

from James C (Son of Resident) published on 18 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Whitefarm Lodge was unknown to the family until my mother was moved there from hospital. It seems to meet all the requirements my mother needs because of her mobility and dementia issues. Although it is quite large the fact that residents are divided up into small groups is a big plus.
Every member
of staff is wonderful and very helpful.
The family are very happy with the move from hospital and it is likely to be a long term colusion

Mowat Court

My mother has now been in Mowat Court for nearly 3 years. My family and I are more than happy with the care and service provided by the staff there.
Any issues, queries or information we have had or sought have been dealt with promptly and professionally (there have been no major issues).
The staff
are approachable, knowledgeable and helpful at all times. Polite, courteous and down to earth as well.
It is a great comfort for us to know that my mother is in great hands and is experiencing the best quality of life possible taking into consideration both her physical and mental health.

Great Carehome, friendly and attentive staff always on hand when we visit. Plenty of varied activities from dancing, baking to outings. Food is always of a very high quality and plenty of it if anything the potions are maybe in the large side. Decor is lovely and we were able add personal photos, bedding
etc to the room.
The lady in reception is extremely helpful and friendly, the staff we see every week are always pleasant and accommodating.
There is absolutely nothing we can fault about Mowatt Court

My Dad has settled very well at Mowat Court. The staff are friendly and professional and nothing is too much bother. They treat the residents with respect. There is a homely atmosphere and when I visit it feels like I am visiting my Dad in his home, able to make us a cup of coffee and sit in the kitchen
together. I have joined in with some of the activities , which the residents enjoy. I would recommend Mowat Court for people living with Dementia as it caters well for them, provide a safe environment.
