My dad moved into Laureate Court in October 2024. From day one he has been treated with care & respect. The team at Laureate Court always go the extra mile to make the residents care first class. It was out dads 90th birthday recently & the staff helped us throw a surprise party for him which made everyone's
day. We live nearly 2 hours drive away & I get a lot of comfort in the fact that dad is being cared for in such a lovely environment. Thanks to all

My mum was transferred from hosptial to Rowena House Care Home recently after being diagnosed with cancer. She also has dementia and alzheimers. I was feeling anxious about the change for mum but after her 1st day and night there I just knew this was the perfect forever home for her however long that
may be. My mums said she isn't ever leaving there because she loves it. She loves the food, the staff and is the happiest I've seen her in a long time.

Our family has just celebrated Mum's 100th Birthday with a party at Laureate Court - a truly magical day so much razzanatazz, love, smiles, cards, lovely food good wishes & so much care. Mum probably had one of the best days of her life & it was a joy to watch her loving it all. L.C staff are special
for their kindness, compassion & professionalism. Their sense of fun made mums b'day such an amazing day. Mum seems so relaxed, content & happy all due to all the staffs constant care, hard work & dedication. Mum feels she belongs in a friendly community where she is safe & happy.
Thank you, thank you thank you.

Such a lovely bright building with gorgeous rooms and facilities. So many opportunities for activities and even outings. Fantastic that there are regular visits from a hairdresser, chiropodist and optician. Best of all though, the carers are so lovely, kind and cheerful. Nothing is too much trouble
and everything is done cheerfully even after a hard tiring day. The manager and deputy manager welcome conversations and are always happy to listen and do whatever they can to help.

Can we just express how much we appreciate you all and how much love you've shown our nanna (mum, wife, and great nannan) nanna came in for 2 weeks respite and you have gone above and beyond for her, when we've rang you with our concerns you have immediately reassured us and gone to assist nannan. All
workers we have interacted with have been so beautiful and supportive. You are all doing the most amazing job and should be so proud of yourselves. Thank you so much. Thank you for allowing us time as a family to come to terms with everything. Your staff are amazing and deserve the world. So much love to you all.

Shocking level of care. They have no level of care for vulnerable people. They leave people in soiled sheets, unwashed and looking unkempt. Staff seem to be more interested in their mobile phones. All personal clothing and valuables disappear. Please avoid this place as it is not fit for purpose.

My dad moved into Ivy Court in January 2024 after a lengthy stay in hospital and a number of falls. He had a ground floor room with doors out onto the garden. Everyone has gone over and above to ensure he was comfortable and looked after. He really enjoyed the food and joined in with all the activities
and had trips out to garden centres and museums and shows at Cast over the last year and a trip to Whitby and an early Christmas dinner. The activities team do a great job at keeping everyone entertained. My dad maintained his independence and I know he enjoyed his time there. Sadly my dad past away on the 14th December. We have some lovely photos from last year and know he did a lot more than he would have if he had been at home. Thank you Ivy Court. You are all amazing. Keep up the good work.

I would just like to say how wonderful the staff at Laureate Court are. My mum passed away at Laurreat Court. We could not wish for better care and love that they showed my mum. It was 10 stars - above and beyond for us. She passed on 14th December 2024. She loved it. They had lots of fun going on every
day with the staff, including the manager. The manager and her team are wonderful.

Mum joined Laureate Court in December, a tough decision for us as a family, but I should never have worried.
you have actually given my mum a totally new life, our old mum coming back, she's so happy, kept busy and has made lovely friendships with service users and staff.
All staff work tirelessly
making it a cosy, active and loving home.
I love the updates of her dancing and being involved in the activities.
Staff make family welcome and involved.
I can now be a daughter again to mum and enjoy one another's company instead of her carer.
A million thank yous would never be enough for how grateful I am to you and your amazing staff.

Dad has been in Laureate Court since October 2024. The care is given by every member of staff is excellent. They treat everyone, relatives included with great care and respect. Since Dad has been in the care home he has become his old self. To quote my daughter at Christmas "We've got bragdad back".
Thanks for everything that you do, it means so much to us as a family.

My auntie is a resident at Ivy Court and it has been a great move for her. She feels safe there. She is looked after. Meals prepared, warm room, always very clean. The bonus has been the additional care items. She loves the walks and outings she is taken on, for coffee and scones, and the entertainment
they sometimes being in. The staff are friendly and chat to her and the Christmas Dinner was everything you would expect it to be - with crackers!

My 92-year-old mum has been here for about 2 months and I couldn't be happier with the care she received. I feel she is really looked after.

We moved Dad to Rose House towards the end of December and I can honestly say it was the best thing to happen to him of late. The place itself is spotless and so beautifully furnished. There are different areas to go and sit in. Music is on all the time which Dad loves. The staff are just amazing and
cannot do enough. There is entertainment and activities on a daily basis and trips out, dad has just been out bowling which he loved. We love the fact that everyone is made to feel special and deserve more than just being left to sit in a chair all day. His bedroom is beautiful and he has his own shower room with toilet. We are so pleased we moved Dad here and cannot thank the staff enough. Dad is a completely new person now.

Rose House

from Susan L (Sister of Resident) published on 22 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

What can I say, a beautiful, first class home. I won't say residential because, it is my sister's home. She is very well cared for, the staff are very friendly, conscientious and nothing is too much trouble. Although my sister was quite ill over the Christmas period, they occasionally managed to get
her to join into the wonderful festivities that had been arranged for the residents and visitors, even if only for a short while. My sister's room and ensuite facilities were cleaned, sometimes more than once a day, and bedding changed everyday due to her illness. Due to their care and cleanliness, my sister is now, once again, back to her normal self, and enjoying the indoor activities and outside visits. My own health and well being has never been so good, knowing that my sister at last is getting the care, help and security that she needs. I would recommend, and do recommend, this beautiful home to all my friends, and also those who are looking for a care home for their friends and families.

My mum arrived at Laureate court feeling anxious and uncertain, having been at a very low point with her dementia. I cannot praise the management and care staff enough for all that they have done for her. She is very settled, happy and social, she has found her home. Helping to join the daily exercise
classes, all the staff are helpful and approachable both with residents and myself.
This home exceeds any expectations I had.

My wife has been a resident at Laureate Court Care Home for 7 years. The staff provided and generated a lovely atmosphere with

My Dad had a two-week respite stay at Rose House and he was looked after really well. He found all the staff members to be very kind and friendly, everyone treated him with respect and nothing was too much trouble to ensure he had an enjoyable stay.
He came home more mobile because he loved walking
around the home, it is beautifully decorated and furnished with quiet areas and company if he wanted it. I would definitely recommend the care home to anyone looking for a friendly caring home for relatives.

My father had been at Ivy Court since October. He was not settling in his wing and the staff kindly suggested moving him downstairs to see if he was any happier. I cannot believe the difference in him, he is smiling, content and happy. All staff are friendly, conscientious and very caring towards the
residents. Rooms are first class, well decorated and kept clean and tidy. Food and drink is very good and both residents and visitors are welcomed very warmly and we are kept informed of my father's welfare. The home is well run by a lovely manager who is always happy to stop and chat although she has a very busy life! Care staff are nominated regularly for above and beyond and seem to be well thought of. We know that my father is looked after, well fed, safe and secure and that is all we could wish for.
