Been visiting here for about eighteen months and have never seen or heard anything to complain about. The rooms are kept very clean and tidy, with clothes always washed, ironed and hung up immaculately.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, in fact my friend who I visit sees the staff also as friends.
I personally would say the home is more like a hotel, which says it all really.

I came into this care home because of my mobility. The staff always offer to help me with having a shower and washing my hair. My room is always cleaned. I enjoy my food, there is plenty of choices. The activities are helpful. I know the management and I know I can always go to see them if I had a problem.
I am so lucky to be cared for here.

Park View

My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia. We chose Park View for him because of it's calm atmosphere and the great location. Dad loved to sit in the lounge and look across the park. We never had any regrets with our choice. Every member of staff is caring and kind. Everyone treated Dad
with respect and dignity. Changes to his condition were always identified quickly and his needs were always met. There was excellent communication from the staff and manager.
When my Dad's condition deteriorated, every member was staff was compassionate and caring. Our situation was handled sensitively and delicately.
I cannot recommend this home enough.

Humfrey Lodge

from Claire F (Daughter of Resident) published on 15 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum has been at Humfrey Lodge for almost 2 years, she is one of the younger residents at 75, and lives with Alzheimer's disease. Her needs have changed throughout this time, and the staff have supported and cared for her with respect and kindness. There are regular activities, and Mum is encouraged
to take part where she can, she particularly enjoys the guest music entertainers, and the family social events, of which there are many.
As a family, we have found the Humfrey Lodge to be supportive and they have helped us navigate communication with health care professionals and social workers. They were particularly supportive in the early months of Mum moving, and they appreciate that to move a loved one into a care home is a challenging time for everyone involved.
We particularly appreciate being able to visit Mum at any time, and being able to take along our dog, which Mum finds comforting. Mum enjoys the home cooked food, which includes traditional favourites and delicious puddings.

The staff at Mulberry Court are always welcoming. Their smiley faces are a tonic to the residents + their visitors. Always a cheerful approach to the residence. When my friend was poorly she + myself were comforted in the knowledge a carer kept popping into her room during the night incase she needed
anything. In many areas the staff go above and beyond in my friends needs. Thank you

Liberty House

from L B (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5

Medication mix up first week.
Sometimes not given sippy cup and when given one many have been chewed - need throwing away.
Curtains not opened sometimes in the day. Mum bed bound and has Alzheimer's so sometimes doesn't know if it is day or night time.
Asked from day one if she could have her hair
cut and it took 9 weeks.
Was changed after a bowel movement and excrement left smeared on bed bumper. Had to request it be cleaned.
One hearing aid and one pair of glasses gone missing.
Had to keep requesting if mum could have a bath as doesn't like showers.
Not checking she has swallowed tablets - I have found some on floor and glasses case part chewed. Great grandchildren there one day when found on floor.
Specifically requested her glasses and hearing aid taken with her to an ophthalmic appointment at hospital but they were not.

Mum arrived in December 2023, distressed and scared. The carers made sure she was listened to and felt safe. The building is bright and airy, and the bedrooms are clean. Mum has Alzheimer's and is gradually declining. She is dressed, washed and fed well and feels confident in the carer's ability to
understand her needs. The team always make sure birthdays and big events are celebrated by decorating the building beautifully. Overall, I am happy with the care mum is receiving at Elizabeth House
