All the staff looking after my Mum were extremely caring and patient with her. They kept me up to date with any health issues she had. Mum found it hard at first to settle in but soon was laughing with the staff who made her welcome. They were there for her in her last hours when sadly I could not be
there due to my own health issues and living in Wales. I cannot praise them enough for all their care and dedication to her.

Since my brother was admin to the Nursing home in November for respite care, and now a permanent resident. He as been treated with dignity, respect, all staff are conscientious, friendly and caring towards all patients. I have visited other homes and found that Farnworth Nursing home is absolutely wonderful.
Patient focus is always good and nothing is too much for them. Staff are happy friendly listen to relatives problems and concerns an act on solution if needed. Would highly recommend the Nursing home and would never move him .

I was welcomed by staff on the reception desk and during my visit found all staff to be friendly, easily approachable and helpful. It was my friend's birthday and birthday banners had been put up in his room and on the corridor. There was a pleasant, calm and welcoming atmosphere and my friend was relaxed
and happy. Having experienced difficulties at some previous care homes due to my friends complex needs, I know that I have finally found a care home that is just that...Home.

My mum has been in the care home for 3 years and in that time the care and kindness towards her and my family has been first class, of course its never going to be perfect with 40 residents on the floor but in my mums case I can say the care has been excellent and I would personally like to thank all

I left a review when my father-in-law stayed for a month earlier this year, this time just a few days, but he said he loves coming on holiday to Farnworth, he says the staff are all lovely, so friendly and always happy, he loves the food, he is looking forward to coming again in the future. We tried
a nursing home in Radcliffe and a few others but he didn't like them at all. This is the first home he has stayed in more than once, so relieved we have found somewhere he likes.

Staff are very attentive and respectful to my mum who has dementia and can be very demanding but is also very loving and likes a cuddle staff are very informative to myself on my mum's welfare and always ring me when she has not been well or had a fall staff are always very friendly to my self and sister
when we visit my mum is always clean and tidy mum is always encouraged to have a go at the activities which most of the time she enjoys and her care plan has recently been changed to accommodate her change in her illness I would not hesitate to recommend Elmcroft to other families who need help caring for their family or friends.

When I was told I was coming to a care home I was petrified and worried stiff but all these fears soon vanished when I arrived I though they had bought me to a 5 star hotel. Everywhere was spotless, it smelt lovely as you went in. The comfort of the rooms were amazing, I was speechless and that never
happens to me. The food is amazing and plentiful. The staff are all o caring, lovely and wonderful and super friendly. I'd love to return one day and spend the rest of my life here. Honestly the care of the staff is just heavenly.

from Dennis J (Partner of Resident) published on 7 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My partner has been in Aaron Court for just over one year. Sadly her condition has detoriated and thrown Aaron Court many challenges with little chance of second guessing whatever is going to come next. What impresses me is the devotion of the staff and the way in which they adapt and respond to her
needs which are complex. She clearly has a deep devotion and trust for her carers. Today the home had a live singer and she, from being sat in a chair in her room had had the time of her life, even dancing. Too many small and not so small miracles here to list.
Facilities 10/10.

It takes a while to find the right place but eventually we found Discovery in Applecroft Care Home. My thanks to all who welcomed my wife and understanding the complex needs of Fronto temporal dementia. She was loved from the minute she walked through the door.
The care in Discovery is phenomenal and
all of the Carers approach their care with dignity and an empathy for each individual. This care in Discovery is an example to others to follow where the team were ably led by two Nursing brothers - Thank you -- but this environment was created by the two ladies who share an office -- Thank you . There are diamonds out there in the Care system and Discovery is one .

A quick note of thanks to all the staff at Kendal Care Home. Under the manager's leadership, everyone plays a part in making this a special place. From reception and office staff as you enter the building to all the carers nurses and entertainment team.
A couple of examples - yesterday was St Patrick's
day and everyone enjoyed what was on offer. The rooms were decorated with crafts done last week by the residents. The menus for a special lunch was perfect, and enjoyed by everyone in the dining room.
Whilst activities are taking place the staff are looking out for everyone and know who needs help. They help with enthusiasm, which I am sure the residents appreciate. They are all kind and sensitive.
Today a fabulous boat ride on Windermere. These trips must take quite a bit of organising but looking at the photos, everyone looks safe and happy. The weather was an added bonus!
Keep up the good work KCH you are a great team, and thank you.

Review of

Primrose Hill Care Home

from B R (Friend of Resident) published on 2 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

Before our friend became a resident, we visited several homes in the area but were immediately struck by the welcoming atmosphere of Primrose Hill Care Home. After a settling in period, our friend appears to be enjoying life in her new abode and seems to get on with many of the carers particularly those
who like to have a laugh and a joke with her, yes, there have been highs and lows, but we have been impressed by how caring the staff are and treat those who suffer from dementia with dignity and kindness.

Review of

Aaron Court

from Ian W (Son of Resident) published on 2 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The manager and the guys have been amazing from the outset. Nothing has been too much trouble. I was shown around Aaron Court by a lady, she was very knowledgeable and informative. The room was spotless. It has been redecorated and furnished to a high standard. Nurses and staff have been so kind to
Mum. I was very apprehensive as to whether Mum would settle in a care home. The manager and her staff have put my mind at ease Mum will be ok.
