Abbey House

from J W (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 April 2023
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

What a lovely place! I was so concerned about Dad going into a nursing home but the staff here have been welcoming and supportive to both Dad and the family, he is settling in well even after only 6 weeks. It is well organised and any queries are answered and followed through. The staff are friendly
and helpful, the food is excellent and it just feels like a lovely place. Thank you for all that you're doing.

Brendon Lodge

from Patricia G (Mother of Resident) published on 31 May 2019

We can't thank the staff of Brendon Lodge enough for their continuing care of our daughter, who unfortunately has been in hospital a few times this year. They arrange staff for night time for us (mum and dad) as we are not spring chickens, being 80 years and 78 years old. We cover the day time and they
provide a carer for nights in hospital as well. The care in the home did not lapse. All was catered for over Easter.

Review of

Orchard Lodge

from Brian S (Relative of Resident) published on 15 October 2018
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

It is always a delight to visit Orchard Lodge and see my relative. The welcome is always warm and accommodating and attention to visitors is very good.
The staff are similarly attentive to the residents and evidently care about those they are responsible for. It is very reassuring for us as a family,
to know that our relation is safe, secure and being genuinely loved and cared for.

Reply from Sandra Burgess, HR Manager at Orchard Lodge

Thank you for your feedback, it's good to know the family are confident their relative is in safe and caring hands.

The staff and management pull together to make good things happen for each individual and for the wider group, home and community. The Makaton sign-a-long was inspirational. My son is valued. My son is supported in all aspects of his life.

Orchard Lodge

from Ray W (Brother of Resident) published on 25 July 2018
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

The staff have worked extremely well and have developed a good understanding and bond with my brother. They have made him welcome in the short space of time he has had at Orchard Lodge as they do with me and my family during visits. After an unsettled spell, staff have worked out the cause of the problem
and now I see my brother the happiest he has been for many years. My brother is occupied either at the Lodge or on many trips out, which makes him very happy and content.

Whenever I go to visit my brother the staff on duty couldn't be nicer. They are all very professional but at the same time very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and it is like a home from home.
They will sit down with you and answer any questions you have and inform you what he has been doing
and where he has been.
A very lovely home, he seems happier than he has been for a long time.
I couldn't be happier.
