On Sunday the 30th of March we came to the Laurels and pine to attend their mother's day event. The whole evening was lovely the food was really nice and the atmosphere made us feel like part of a family. My son came with us and he was treated with such love and respect it was just such an amazing evening
as all events have been. So impressed and I think the team always go above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

I'm so impressed with the care that all the Staff give to the Residents. The food is amazing and caters for each individual's needs. The Activities Team are truly superb at arranging so many varied things that the Residents and family and friends can also appreciate.

This present stay at Burnham Lodge is my fourth one. That surely is enough proof of my faith in the place!
In 2003 we were looking for a residential home for my 94 year old stepfather & finally found Burnham Lodge. My mother & I instantly fell in love with the place, the setting & the friendly atmosphere.
My stepfather spent his last six months here, & had excellent care. My mother spent her last two weeks here & I was with her as she slept her last sleep. If I cannot care for myself I have vowed that I will come to Burnham Lodge, where I will get the best care & be returned to health.

Highfield Nursing Home

from Kerrie H (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My dad had dementia. He was in hospital with an infection and it became clear he wouldn't be able to return home. He didn't want to go into a care home so we described it to him as a posh hotel. From the very beginning everyone at Highfield welcomed not only dad but all of the family. He was only there
for a short time but they looked after us all and it was lovely to be able to visit at any time and bring the dog with us. Tea and cake was always plentiful and the various lounges meant we could get him out of his room. During a very difficult time for us as a family the team of staff helped make it so much easier. We could relax knowing he was in safe hands.

Reply from Lindsay Mahoney, Hospitality & Wellbeing Manager at Highfield Nursing Home

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It is heart warming to hear how welcome your dad and you as a family were made to feel at Highfield. Although your dad was only with us for a short time it is lovely to know that he enjoyed his time at Highfield and the team were supportive to you all and you could rest assured that your dad was cared for and safe. We will pass on your kind words to the team at Highfield.

Hartford Court

from Heidi L (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My experience with Hartford Court continues to be very good. My mum tells me every time I visit (very regularly) that she can't fault the place and that the staff are all wonderful. My own personal experience with the staff is also excellent, they all seem to know Mum very well - they understand her
needs, they also have a laugh with her and keep her happy! If I ever had any concerns or special requests regarding Mum, I always feel listened to and they go above and beyond to assist with anything that I discuss with them. In my opinion (and where my Mum is concerned) - the activities are a huge part of making Hartford Court such a good fit for us. The variation of games, singers, coffee mornings etc. make the time for them in there so enjoyable - and between meals there is always something for them to do or people around to chat to!

Malden House

My partner and I are eagerly awaiting the birth of our first Grandchild and with that we had to find somewhere to look after my Mother-in-law who lives with us. We wanted somewhere that would look after her as we do. With care and compassion, with friendliness and sensitivity. In the manager and her
team we found that. My Mother-in-law has moderate dementia but other mental health needs and it has taken us a long time to get the right care balance. The manager took on board all of our concerns and came up with a care plan in the home that has kept her happy and safe. Thank you Malden House.

My father came into the home a few weeks ago, and from the initial meeting we were all welcomed into this very loving home. The staff go our of their way to care for every residents needs and are very attentive, not just to the residents medical needs, but to their happiness. The entertainment ladies
are brilliant bringing lots of artists and entertainers to bring joy to the residents. They even took our dad to the theatre, and he had a very special time. Me and my family would like to thank all of Highfield Nursing Home a big thank you. Each and every one of you are second to none and you all deserve a massive applaud.

West Cliff Hall Care Home

from N B (Son of Resident) published on 25 March 2025

Building lovely, staff cheerful and good facilities. Unfortunately my Stepfather was seriously let down though. Alarm bells rang 2 days in and met manager to discuss. Lots of encouraging words but sadly had to remove Dad 2 days later. Unable to maintain medication timings, unable to manage his safeguarding
or the person who was harassing him. They were advanced in their condition and should have been supervised. On raising our complaint it seemed management disregarded the seriousness of the problem or just didn't read our email.
Hope they've improved and hired more staff but I would urge anyone to caution before placing a loved one there.

We had a lovely afternoon with Mum and Dad today. It is great for them to be able to see a lot of each other as they are on the same floor. We used the drinks machine in reception which was useful during our stay. All staff were helpful, as usual, and seemed to have a good rapport with them both.

My wife was with you for 1 year, during that time she was well loved by all the staff. The manager - assistant manager every one of the nursing staff every one of the carers were so loving and caring. In the one year my wife was with you she was always made to feel it was her home and she felt loved
by all the staff. I would recommend Ashley Grange to anyone and I thank you for everything. I forgot to mention the lovely reception staff and the kitchen staff who make such lovely food.

Harlow Hall

from Adrian C (Nephew of Resident) published on 10 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

When my uncle needed full-time care, I felt guilty as I toured various homes, finding many unwelcoming. Initially, I dismissed Harlow Hall, thinking it was beyond our budget. However, I was pleasantly surprised by its affordability. Visiting the home, I found it exceeded my expectations, resembling
a five-star hotel with 24-hour care.
The admissions process was seamless and respectful, easing my concerns. Now, five weeks into his stay, my uncle is happily settling in, enjoying activities and companionship. Each visit feels like stepping into a warm, welcoming home.
I wholeheartedly recommend Harlow Hall for anyone seeking residential or dementia care for a loved one. It truly embodies care and compassion.
