I have visted many care homes over the years but never have I visited one like Marlborough House. A very dear friend of mine moved in around June this year and I visit him twice weekly. I have always found the staff very welcoming, immensely kind and considerate. They always greet me with a smile and
from what I have observed, their care towards the residents is nothing short of beautiful. A gold star award to them all as far as I am concerned.

My mum was 98 and was taken unwell on 4th January 2024. She was admitted to a hospital then a different hospital and then to another care home for further rest during her stay at the home she developed delirium and the delirium team moved her to Marlborough House Church Crookham in about May. Her stop
there was until her death on 15th July 2024. Omg her care at Marlborough House was exceptional even I couldn't have given my mum the love, attention, dignity and respect that all the staff there gave her from the top assistant manager to the cleaners. The nursing care team and carers are outstanding in their field. It is warm and welcoming and I can't express the thanks I have for each and every member of the team who cared for my mum. A special mention to one nurse in particular who had the upmost respect for my mum as she passed, that moment will stay in my heart forever.

My mum came to Marlborough House in March 2024. Her needs were complex, but I can not praise the entire team enough. The care is outstanding. Staff are friendly, approachable and nothing is too much trouble. They have looked after her with kindness and dignity.
From management, admin, nurses, carers,
kitchen staff, cleaners, laundry and maintenance - everyone made this move to a nursing home so much easier.
I would definitely recommend.

My darling father spent his last few weeks at Wessex Lodge. We never wanted for him to go into a home, so emotions were running high. There was a minor issue with his room on the first day, and this was resolved within minutes. Every day we got to know more and more of the staff, who were fantastic.
They were so friendly and caring to us, as well as my father. My advice (to anyone else finding themselves in this situation) would be to get to know all of the staff, - cleaners and admin, carers and nurses. The more you give the more you get. They all work so hard, and although there are some stressful moments for everyone (which is understandable given the circumstances of the home and its residents) they are all genuinely lovely people who want to make the residents as comfortable and happy as they possibly can. Thank you to the whole team for allowing my father to travel through his last weeks with dignity, in a place that was the next best thing to his home with his beloved family.

From the first time visiting the carers/staff and the residents were happy. There is always a lovely atmosphere and a homely feel. The staff not only go above and beyond for the residents but also for visiting family and friends. I have complete peace of mind when I leave knowing my mum is happy and
being well cared for.

What an amazing care home. I joined my Wife last week for a Celebration Tea the team had organised for my late Father in Law who passed away at Berehill House in March. My Wife's Step Mum is also resident at Berehill House and whenever we visit, we are always greeted with a warm and friendly welcome.
We have spent many happy hours visiting our relatives and it is so evident how well cared for all of the residents are. Everyone is treated with dignity, compassion and love which is obviously genuine and wonderful to see. My Wife and I have often commented that neither of us would be able to do what all of the staff do, they are nothing short of amazing. To the manager and all the team: keep up the amazing work.

Reply from Michelle Hart, Home Manager at Berehill House

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We had a wonderful afternoon and it was an absolute pleasure to care for your relative. We do try our best to ensure the residents in our care get to live their best life!

We were so pleased to be able to place our Dad (Pops) into Berehill House where our Step Mum has resided for over 2 years. Dad was taken poorly at Berehill House back in August of 2023 when visiting Step Mum and the manager and the team took great care of him until the Ambulance arrived. Sadly the collapse
lead to Dad becoming being diagnosed with Dementia and we desperately wanted to be able to place Dad in the same facility as Step Mum (his partner of 47 years) and after a short period, the manager was able to help. Dad moved into Berehill House in October 2023. Unfortunately Pops' health continued to deteriorate and he lost his fight for life at Berehill House on 16th March 2024 with the family at his bedside. The entire team at Berehill House are absolutely incredible in the love, care and compassion they show to all their residents. They go above and beyond what anyone asks and we will be forever grateful to the entire team. Thank you one and all.

We were very pleased that my sister was 'looked after' in Marlborough House, she was there for four years. We found the staff to be kind and considerate. Also, Marlborough House was one of the first to lockdown during Covid, so kept residents safe. So I would highly recommend this nursing home.

For three years you cared for my dear sister-in-law. Such a pleasant, hospitable, friendly, welcoming and caring home for her. You tick all the boxes. Over such a long period, you gave the loving care our family had struggled with! Thank you so, so much, you became her family for three years. We will

My nana went into Wessex Lodge nursing home in September 2023 after a bad experience at a previous home.
Wessex Lodge is an absolutely outstanding nursing home, myself and my family can’t fault it at all. It was hard getting my nana settled there but they made sure to make her comfortable and happy
at all times, they spent one on one time with her settling her and were always more than happy to answer any questions we had (at that time it was a lot)
Every single member of staff in Wessex Lodge works incredibly hard, the nurses and carers would go above and beyond for my nana and we see that every time we’re there. They treat my nana like their own and for that we as a family will be forever grateful. When we leave our nana we don’t feel anxious or worried because we know she is well taken care of.
The manager is lovely and is everything you’d want out of a manager, we couldn’t fault anything at Wessex Lodge.

I did not initially choose this care home as my father is currently under the NHS Delirium Care Pathway and was discharged to the next available place.
However, I was so relieved when I first visited to find such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, great staff (medical, care and admin) and all areas
clean, fresh and tidy.
I was immediately confident that he would receive the best care, tailored to his needs and this has, indeed, been the case. He informs me that the chef is open to requests for extra bacon sandwiches for breakfast!
There are daily activities to suit all tastes (who knew visiting alpacas would be so popular!) but absolutely no expectation to join in if you don't want to.
It appears that my father will need continuing care and I will certainly be making enquiries for him to stay at Wessex Lodge.

My mother stayed at Berehill for almost 2 years prior to her recent death. Staff at the home are uniformly welcoming, chatty and were always happy to help. The home is decorated seasonally, gardens well kept and residents seem well cared for and had frequent entertainers visiting and occasional trips
out. I was really pleased with how Mum was looked after. Thank you Berehill staff.

My father was admitted to Wessex Lodge on October 22’ until Oct 23’. The nursing home facilities met the needs of my father who had his own en suite room that had a homely feel which made him settle in quickly. The home also has its own lounge, garden and dining area enabling him to socialise with other
residents and they had regular events for the residents. The nurses and carers were on hand 24/7 and showed a lot of love and care for my father as well as all the other residents. I would highly recommend this nursing home.

Thank you for leaving us such a lovely review. We’re grateful to have been given the privilege to care for him. His bright and fun personality brought a little ray of sunshine to our day and we thoroughly enjoyed caring for him. We’re sorry for your loss, he will be missed by many.

Chose Berehill House Care Home as it was very homely and not institutionalised. Care given is excellent, very friendly and efficient. Feel confident the residents are happy and very well looked after.
Staff are very attentive and sensitive to residents' needs.
Bedrooms are kept immaculately clean
and tidy.
Our relative has been at the home for over five years and is happy and contented and has an excellent relationship with the staff who she calls 'the girls'. There is a real 'family' feel about Berehill, both the staff and the overall environment.

My mum was dropped off in May to give my dad respite but has stayed in as a permanent resident. The family regularly visit and are extremely happy to see she is getting the best care possible, well done to the manager and the team as from what we can assess, the whole home is relaxed and vibrant which
is a credit to all. Many thanks for giving us comfort at these challenging times.

Both my parents became residents at Berehill House in July 2018. They settled in quickly and my mother is still there (my father passed away in 2021). We have always been happy with the care at Berehill House, the staff are patient, kind, knowledgeable and supportive. The home, itself, is clean, tidy
and there are activities for those who wish to join in. My mother often states that they are "very kind" and she is clearly contented and comfortable.
