Dad needed a care home for post op care after a 9 day hospital stay. We chose Barton Lodge as it was close to home, in a wonderful locations and after my Aunt, Dad's cousin, had a very good temporary stay. The care home and its staff have given Dad excellent care and support to restore his strength,
health and confidence after his major kidney surgery. The staff (all of them) have been kind, caring, patient and have given Dad all the support he has needed to recover. Thank you.

The staff at Woodley Grange are professional, kind, and very experienced. They not only took excellent care of mum but also held our hands as her dementia progressed. After 2.5 years at Woodley Grange, Mum has just moved to a nursing home due to increasing care needs, but again the Woodley Grange team
supported us through this. A huge thank you to them all.

When we decided that my mom needed constant care, we contacted Woodley Grange as my mum liked the idea of living in the Romsey area, the support and care shown to my mum was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble, they have gone above and beyond with their care and empathy to us, understanding that
this was quite emotional for all of us. The entertainment partners really do make a fantastic effort with all their trips and ideas, it really does make it a home-from-home. Thank you Woodley.

I was at Barton Lodge Care Home between May and October 2024. I was in very poor health when I arrived. Right from the word go, I received amazing attention from the team at Barton Lodge. I had a marvellous five months, taking me from the depths of despair to where I am now, back in my own home. Thanks

Woodley Grange is a wonderful care home. All the staff are wonderful. Friendly, caring and professional. Dad is always telling his family how caring the staff are to him. Dad enjoys his meals at home, especially when the chef makes her delicious food. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone

My mum was a resident at Barton Lodge for the last 8 weeks of her life. From our very first visit to the care home, before we were even sure we needed it, we were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. We noticed that the care home manager took a personal interest in residents
while she was showing us around.
Throughout Mum's stay at Barton Lodge, she was treated with dignity, kindness, and real loving care from all the staff. Every single member of staff that we came into contact with was cheerful, kind, and caring. Staff formed a good relationship with us and kept us fully informed of Mum's care and needs. We felt that all her needs were met and the care home was able to arrange visits from the GP, podiatrist, dentist, and optician.
The quality of the environment was excellent, including the furnishings, activities on offer, and the gardens. The care home was able to give Mum some comfort and peace in her last few weeks and she received excellent care.

A wonderful place for respite. Caring, attentive staff, all well-dressed and clean, able to talk clearly. Services provided well thought through, service provided first-rate. All staff willing to help and clean and tidy room constantly.
Home in a very good condition and garden a delight to use. Plenty
of seating and whole site very secure.
My guests were welcomed and very impressed with the whole situation.
I have had a restful recovery period with no stress.

From the initial tour of Woodley Grange and positive information that reassured us that my mum would be in the best place for a respite stay. Mum was supported extremely well for settling in and supported in every way possible. Her daily visitors were made welcome. She enjoyed the meals and the room
has provided her with a pleasant sanctuary. Thank you to all the carers for all your kindness and all the managers for their reassuring support.

My dad was really well looked after and all his needs were cared for. He loved the downstairs lounges that looked onto the garden. I will definitely recommend Woodley Grange and will be using them again.

My husband has been in here for about a month. He needs an electric stand to move him to his wheelchair or seat. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are very helpful and always cheerful from the manager down. I could have not picked a better place and he is happy there. The refurbishment is excellent,
the food is great and as a visitor regularly always made to feel very welcome.

Barton Lodge have made my mother feel so welcome during a very difficult time for her. The staff have been so friendly and the manager has given us so much advice and help it's been overwhelming. It's a lovely care home and I'm more than happy that we have gone there.

Your staff were all exceptional, helpful and kind. If I were to find fault it would be to remove dead flowers from vases. Food (sandwiches especially) could be presented more appetisingly. I noticed that when the chief cook did them they were and looked much more appetising! It was after my investigation,
I found out that it was the chief cook that had done them!

I appreciate your feedback about the sandwiches, and can confirm that I have already discussed this at our kitchen staff meeting and involved the team in a discussion about how suppers (particularly sandwiches) can be presented in the most appealing way.
I have also spoken to the housekeeping team about making sure displays of live flowers are maintained properly to prolong their life.

My father became a resident at Barton Lodge following a period of daycare during the previous months. He has settled in very well. The staff at Barton have made this experience for both my parents very positive. They have been very kind and caring towards my father as well as being sensitive and respectful
towards my mother during this difficult time. The staff are always kind, friendly and supportive.

My husband has started going to the day centre and is very happy there. I have found all the helpers very kind and understanding. It is difficult for me to comment on the daily routine as he has dementia and doesn't remember what he has done on the day but he comes home quite happy.

My husband became a resident in January after having daycare for a couple of months. Thanks to very supportive staff this has been a positive experience both for my husband and myself. Although my mother could not stay long at Barton Lodge Care Home as she became very unwell, we were all impressed by the staff, their care of my mother and us and all in such beautiful surroundings.
We were impressed by the speed anything got done, such as a dedicated telephone line and PAT testing
and picture hanging.
We have all decided we would like to move in when our time comes.
