When looking for a care home for Dad, almost a year ago, he was not necessarily requiring a full nursing home/care but Canford Manor was highly recommended and a room was available. We are so pleased we chose this home as it is such a happy home both to reside and to visit. The staff and management
offer excellent care and seeing a decline in Dads dementia/confusion over the year we know he is in safe and kind hands. He enjoys the options offered for afternoon activities his favourite being the music events where he soon finds his rhythm and is up dancing and looks forward to meeting up with his friends at the men's lunch table. Dad is well established now and we feel is future proofed for any nursing needs he will require ahead. He is coming up for 97yrs and plans to make 100yrs which I am sure will happen..

My mum had a fall last February and after a stay in hospital, she was not allowed to go back home alone due to delirium. She has now been a resident at Canford Manor for a year and she couldn't be getting better care.
All of the staff including the management team are understanding and really appear
to be caring and empathetic.
They make the residents feel at home and have lots of activities to keep everyone busy.
My mum will not be able to live alone again, but we know she is well looked after and we are always welcome to visit her and enjoy the activities or to have a cup of tea and a biscuit.

During my mothers 3 year stay at Tudor Lodge Nursing Home she received first class domestic, personal and medical care. The senior management team provide superb leadership across all of the departments, proven by the high morale across department collaborations, high professional standards and excellent
communications. Individually the staff were always cheerful, positive and viewed the residents as their first priority. During her final weeks my mother received faultless compassionate care in comfort and safety.

Today I travelled from South Wales to visit my aunt. As always I was warmly greeted by the receptionist and all the carers and nurse. I stayed for dinner, smoked haddock and apricot and custard - the food was excellent (especially the haddock).

I cannot thank the staff enough for just how much they ensured my wife was cared for whilst a permanent resident. The whole staff team from the manager down was absolutely excellent in all aspects - courteous, caring, and professional at all times. I am so glad that I have done my research and found
this home.
Well-led and managed this home ticked every box required for my mixed dementia-suffering wife's nursing and care needs to ensure she was looked after and safe.

Selecting a home for Mum was hard and emotional but the minute I stepped into Tudor Lodge I knew this was the place. Everyone I passed on the tour had a smile on their face and said hello and the home itself was bright, clean and smelt fresh. Mum's care was second to none, all of the staff were excellent
from the carers who even took time to put on Mum's makeup, to the nurses who watched over her vigilantly, the fabulous selection of food, the cleaners keeping the place spotless, the manager/reception who did all they could to assist. Thank you for all you did for my mum.

My mom was in a care home but needed to be moved to a nursing home. I was a little concerned but Tudor Lodge is excellent. Staff are all lovely. Activities of some sort every afternoon. My mum is partial to a glass of wine which she does get most days. Visiting is flexible. My mum does get lonely but
that is to be expected. I have no complaints or concerns.

My relative became a resident at Tudor Lodge on discharge from hospital. She had previously been in a facility which didn't offer nursing care. The staff at Tudor Lodge looked after her with extreme care and concern involving other health agencies as required. As her condition deteriorated towards the
end of life care, I was impressed with the way staff dealt with the physical and mental effects. They are always friendly, and happy to help in addition to providing varied activities to entertain residents.

When my husband could no longer continue end-of-life care at home, I was distressed and so worried about him having to go into a nursing home. My fears were completely unfounded. Sadly he only lived for another 10 days, but the care and empathy he received at Canford Manor, by every single member of
staff was exceptional. Despite the circumstances, it was such a happy place, an absolute home from home, my husband was kept comfortable and out of pain, something that was proving impossible at home. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and support. We were treated like part of a big loving family. They even organised a bed in my husband's room for the final days and I was able to be with him, holding his hand when he took his last breath. Something I will be forever grateful for.
This home is exceptional, I cannot recommend it enough.

Generally, the home has provided a lovely environment for my mum, who is still very aware and most days very mentally competent. My experience of seeing (staff) interactions with Mum is reassuring. Most are attentive and genuinely appear to love Mum, some demonstrate this by physical touch/hugs. There
are some low-level concerns about the quality of some meals and that they often arrive cold (if a hot meal). The monthly fees are very high, which has intrigued me, especially as there's an additional weekly fee for 'nursing care' but after researching 'home' options, this was the only home that was acceptable as a replacement for Mum's own home/life.

The nursing home was one of three recommendations provided by Hampshire Continuing Care, and this selection is based upon our engagement with the local Palliative nursing team. We are so utterly grateful that we have been able to take up these recommendations for my mother. I can only describe it as
a 5-star hotel for nursing. The facilities were nothing short of fantastic, although my poor mother was not able to experience them. The care provided to her and my family was exceptional. I sincerely do not believe there is anything else that I can add.

My sister spent the final 5 weeks of her life here on end-of-life care. The care she received was kind and considerate at all times. Nurse in charge was always ready to answer questions. All staff were understanding and helpful. As my sister passed away care, consideration and respect were shown at
all times.
It was always nice to be welcomed by a cheerful receptionist. My thanks to everyone. Printed, correct information regarding what to do after death would be useful.

Tudor Lodge Nursing Home is an excellent example of what a care home should be. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant, all staff are polite and friendly, and all enquiries and requests are dealt with promptly - I have observed staff treating my mother with great kindness and respect. She is very happy
with all aspects of her care and feels safe and comfortable. It's always difficult when a loved one needs to leave their own home to go into a care home, but Tudor Lodge is a great place to live and visit.

After visiting several nursing homes in the area hoping to find a home for my dad. I visited Tudor Lodge and I couldn’t believe how different the home was to the others, I was greeted by a very friendly member of staff who informed me that they had a room available and I was given a tour and shown the
room which is perfect for Dad. This home is without doubt the cleanest and most comfortable home and he’s so happy and well looked after. All of the staff are without exception the most professional friendly and helpful you could ever meet. Since Dad has been there he has thrived. There are daily activities every day if they so wish then there’s the choice of meals from a full cooked breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks, tea and coffee or a hot chocolate. He literally wants for nothing as I say telling friends and family about Tudor Lodge. It’s a cross between a 5-star hotel and a private hospital. If you’re looking for a nursing home for your loved ones I can highly recommend Tudor Lodge.

During the time my elderly relative has been in the care home she has been treated with respect and dignity. When she arrived she was able to get around with help from the staff but she is now bedridden and finds it hard to cope with the simplest of tasks. To this end the staff have been very positive
and friendly and help to wash, feed and care for her totally. I cannot praise the staff enough, the office and admin, the chefs, the cleaners, the carers and the nursing staff are all doing a wonderful job as my relative is very near end of life. I can’t thank them enough for their professionalism and dedication to looking after our elderly relatives.

The staff from the manager, administrator, nurses, carers, cleaners, and facilities staff were all very welcoming right from the start.
Nothing was too much trouble.
Unfortunately, Mum was only at the nursing home for 3 months, after being discharged from the hospital for end-of-life care.
Mum
was always treated with care and dignity and her last months were made as comfortable as possible.
The family was supported through a very difficult time.

My father was a resident from October 2023 to March 2024.
He had resisted entering for a long time but realised that his frailty meant he could no longer provide for himself at home.
The home completely understood his stance but made him welcome and gave him time to adjust.
All the staff at the
home were incredibly kind and caring.
I visited him often each week and he was always clean, well-fed, content with the team gently encouraging him to join in the activities.
I can't praise the manager and her team enough.
