5 Old Barn Close

from Christine H (Sister of Resident) published on 1 October 2018
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

A home from home where residents participate in carefully prepared activities that reflect individual needs. My last visit saw the ladies who enjoy manicures, being treated to a relaxing hand massage while my brother, who isn't into this, chilled with his favourite selection of music. All the residents
benefitted from being in the lounge together.
Staff know the residents. They are happy residents who are well fed and medical needs are catered for.
Residents are taken out in the mini-bus but not altogether so that they can benefit from some more personal time.
The home can be contacted about your relative's health either by phone or email but if there is anything urgent the care home manager will contact you.
Family members and friends are always welcomed with a hot drink and it feels like an extended family unit. I love visiting and interacting with my brother and other residents.
My only regret is that I can't visit often enough.

Review of

5 Old Barn Close

from Rodney F (Friend of Resident) published on 18 September 2018
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I have been a regular visitor to the establishment since the time my friend moved here some years ago. In all the time I have been treated with great respect. I feel that all the residents and staff are now my friends. I can honestly say that in all my visits, I have never felt any cause for concern
for my friends (or any other residents') well being and care. The staff go above and beyond the call of duty to care for their charge. In fact, I look forward to my fortnightly visits.
