Oakmoor Lodge

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our Mother has been living at Oakmoor Lodge for 15 months and is leading a comfortable and happy life. She is very content despite having Alzheimers. Oakmoor Lodge is a lovely care home with excellent friendly and caring staff. As a regular visitor, I find the staff very welcoming and approachable.
If ever I need to speak to them, they are always very helpful and proactive. The surroundings and facilities are cleaned to a high standard and the activities that are offered throughout the day are brilliant. The activities co-ordinators work hard to provide fun, variety and entertainment. The food appears to be plenty, 3 courses per meal!! with a good range of hot and cold drinks as well as snacks. The corridors and general space means residents can walk freely and the garden area is an added bonus in the warmer months, offering plenty of shady areas. The care home is run efficiently by the Manager who is approachable and responds promptly to any concerns. I would recommend it to anyone!

I cannot recommend Oakmoor Lodge enough, every time I visit my lady friend, she is always clean and well dressed, which is important to me. She is also more mobile than she was at her home sitting
by herself,
May I congratulate everyone connected with this home, long may it continue.

My mother has been living at Oakmoor Lodge since January 2025 and I cannot speak too highly of the care she has received. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and the staff have gone out of their way to make her feel settled and valued. Everyone has been extremely kind and caring and one member of staff

The staff emanate a feeling of cheerful calmness as soon as the front door opens with hello. They always make time for a chat with the residents families and friends no matter how busy they are. On a day when you find yourself thinking of the passed and how rotten dementia is to your loved one the staff
have what seems a built in way of cheering you up. The building is modern and very clean. The cleanliness is showed in the residents with clean clothes and brushed hair. There is a varied menu with dietary requirements available. Coffee, tea and various fruit drinks are made through out the day along with biscuits, much to the residents delight! If there's a mishap or medical problem a staff member will notify the family. These phone calls are delivered in a calm manner and there is time given for you to ask questions. After a stay in hospital my husband is nearing closure. At Oakmoor Lodge I know he is contented, well cared for and not ignored.

Oakmoor Lodge

from A L (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mum has been in Oakmoor Lodge for 10 months. The carers are so kind and thoughtful and have welcomed me, as well as my mum, into the Oakmoor Lodge family. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them - if I ask a question I am never told that it is not that person's job - instead they will always find
the person I need and so things tend to get sorted out quickly. I like that the doctor visits weekly so my mum can be seen routinely even if the problem wouldn't be deemed appropriate for calling a doctor out specially. A chiropodist and hairdresser who also visit is good.
Communication is excellent between the home and me so I always know how my mum is and I can leave there knowing she is safe and cared for.
There is a good weekly timetable of activities led by two lovely, smiley co-ordinators! There is regular live entertainment - singers or musicians which my mum loves.
My only concern is the food which seems to be of varying quality.
Thank you to all for taking care of my mum.

My dad is a resident at jubilee Court. He is being looked after by the lovely staff who attend to all his needs. They provide him with exceptional care, meals and entertainment which give my dad a better quality of life. The accommodation is outstanding, he has a lovely room with an en suite, TV, and
all his needs. I would highly recommend Jubilee Court for your loved ones and cannot fault the level of care they provide.

Lovely place, great relationship with staff. A caring approach to the journey of dementia. Staff really know the residents and are helpful and approachable with needs. Very adaptable to individual requests and care.

A friend of mine moved into the home last year and has settled in quickly. It's a beautiful home. Such a friendly team, so caring and attentive. Delicious cakes in the cafe. They even have a cinema and hair salon. I highly recommend Elm View.

We needed respite care for my mother after a lengthy stay in hospital.
We were impressed on the exterior and even more impressed with the interior. All very clean. Staff go above and beyond to get to know residents and their needs.

We had a very warm welcome when visiting and again when my husband went in for respite care. He was well looked after and was kept clean. I would definitely take him there again for the next respite.
