Very impressed and thankful to the staff. Nothing too much trouble for them. They call on him having a chat, caring for all his needs. When I call to visit all staff always have a smile. He's very impressed with his meals, he likes his food and always looks forward to meal times. So a thank you to all
staff involved in the care home.

My dad has been in care since January. The staff are so happy and caring. My dad is clean, well dressed in his own clothes. He really enjoys his food, especially his full English breakfast. He has a lovely room, that is kept spotlessly clean. I am kept informed of any changes in my dads health and needs.

In my opinion, my husband should not have been in a care home but due to a few difficulties with the choice I have made putting him in the care home I regret this choice not because he was unhappy or anything but due to a few things that have been sorted out everything has worked out well. He is very
pleased without choices and is very happy to be with me again.

Reply from Kasim Scally, Manager at Airedale Residential & Dementia Home

Dear Patricia, Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience. I can only imagine how difficult the decision must have been to entrust your husband's care to us, and I truly admire your strength and love for him. Please know that he is in caring and compassionate hands, and we are honored to be a part of his journey. I hope you find comfort in knowing that you made the best choice for his well-being, and that he was is surrounded by people that care for him. If there's anything we can do to support you, please don't hesitate to reach out. Best Wishes

My mother is always cheerful and happy when I visit her. Although her behaviour is challenging at times, the staff are resilient, friendly and caring towards her. Routines are in place, and staff do not stop fulfilling everyone's needs. I am always offered a cuppa and its so nice to have a chat with
the staff. The entertainment programme suits the residents and the meals are excellent too. There's always someone for my mum to speak to if she chooses - everyone seems to be happy and comfortable.

A very close friend has been a resident at Rosslyn Residential Care. He has got so much better which is incredible and heartwarming to see. He is well cared for by the team who are very helpful. And the manager is wonderful and always encouraging. He loves the food which is top quality. His room and
the house is very clean. There is a beautiful garden that he absolutely loves, they have nice summer parties which he thoroughly enjoys. Their engaging activities and warm interactions create an environment where he truly thrives. We both appreciate that I am able to visit which means the world to both of us.

The staff at the home are so caring and helpful, cannot fault them. Also have time to comment on my Mother's welfare, telephoning me if there has been any change in her health, medication, doctor visits, etc. The manager/management have been so supportive and I cannot praise them enough. A lot more
activities going on, as well as events going on throughout the year, encouraging family and friends to join in. Great newsletter. I cannot thank them enough. The food is excellent.

The team at Rosslyn Court is amazing. It's great to see how much my grandma has been able to settle in so quickly and see growth in her health. At Rosslyn Court, we're always able to be informed with updates, they understand the correct care procedures and always make sure to keep a smile on my grans
face. The family are happy to recommend the care home to others who require peace of mind. Thank you to everyone for your hard work, it really means a lot knowing that my gran is having the best care possible.

Our mum has been at Airedale Residential & Dementia Home for just over 2 years. The staff have always been caring and kind and the manager is very approachable. It has been nice to see the numerous improvements over this time and that these are continuing. The role of activities has been filled and
it is lovely to see the residents joining in and the change in atmosphere. As Mum's condition continues to deteriorate we feel fully supported by staff and management.

I am so happy with this care home. My friend loves it there. She is well looked after. The food is great, they are always doing things and entertaining the residents. I felt I had to do an updated review of Burton Oaks Residential & Dementia Home after my mum passed away. Mum loved the home and after being admitted to hospital she was desperate to get back there. Unfortunately, she became ill again and died at the home. The staff at Burton Oaks are truly amazing,
I do not have the words to thank them for their compassion, caring, professionalism and genuine love. They looked after Mum but they looked after me and my family as well. Nothing was too much trouble for them in the hours before her death and the hours after. They did not intrude on our privacy but were there and so supportive with cuddles, tissues, cups of tea and food. The home is spotless, the food is good but the genuine feeling of being in your own home is what makes this place so special. It truly is an amazing place and although Mum's not there now, I have made friends and I will pop in every time I'm passing for a cup of tea.

Firstly, I'd like to start with thanking all the staff at Burton Oaks Residential & Dementia Home. The care provided to my nan has been exemplary from the start.
The staff here are what make this home so special, from the care offered, the activities, to the family feel the care home exudes.
The
staff go beyond expectations and truly care for their residents.
The home itself is warm, welcoming and spotlessly clean. Offering spacious seating and living areas for residents and their families to enjoy.
Unfortunately, we required the assistance of staff to support my grandmother through end-of-life care. An extremely difficult time for us however these moments were made somewhat more bearable by staff showing their compassion and sympathy. The team allowed us to say our goodbyes, whilst kindly ensuring we were supplied with fresh drinks and tissues where necessary.
I personally know that my nan loved being at Burton Oaks. It really is an amazing place for a much-loved family member.

My nan moved to Burton Oaks Residential & Dementia Home earlier this year after we decided it was no longer safe for her to be in her home. The care my nan has received in the home was, from the very beginning, of the most amazing standard.
The staff are all so kind, caring and patient, they quickly
formed a wonderful relationship with, first and foremost, my nan but, secondly, us, as a family! We have always been made to feel welcome and as if the care home was just plain and simply my nan's home.
We have always found the home to be clean, comfortable and fun.
A small care home with a huge heart.

My mum was in Airedale care home from October until her death in November this year.
She had dementia and never realised she was in a care home she always referred to staying in a big house with lovely pictures on the walls.
She was happy, never asking to go home. The staff were all lovely, always
engaging with the residents. They had lots of patience for everyone.

Rosslyn Residential Care

from Jay P (Son of Resident) published on 11 November 2024

My mum was transferred to Rosslyn Residential Care under temporary resident terms. Being a vegetarian, and lacking proper communication in English, I was concerned. Prior to agreeing to the placement, the management team assured me that the staff would be able to communicate with her and cater to her
dietary needs. Meeting the manager and the staff was reassuring and I was satisfied that Mum would be looked after temporarily until her assessment was completed.
The manager and her staff looked after my mum like their own. They would refer to her as Grandma in Gujarati and make sure all her dietary needs were satisfied. Mum was underweight and she was looking amazing yesterday and was fully with her wits yesterday as she moved to a permanent placement. I will be forever indebted to the team for the care and devotion with which they looked after my mum.
