Absolutely wonderful home. The staff and managers made my life so much easier knowing my mum was being treated kindly and affectionately at lukestone. She genuinely enjoyed being there and she was then able to get full assistance for her ever increasing needs she felt safe and secure there and enjoyed
all the interaction with the staff especially the music, the singing and the dancing. Again all lovely people with time and patience and it made my mums last months more pleasant and enjoyable - thank you x

We, as a family, are so very happy with every aspect of our mother's care. The staff are caring, friendly, and always cheerful. They always inform us if there are any changes in Mum's health and mental state. Abbotsleigh Care Centre is always clean, and the food is delicious. We feel blessed to have
found mum such a wonderful place to end her days.

Our dad moved into Sonya Lodge a few months ago and the staff at the care home have been fantastic, including the manager and everyone working there. They clearly work hard at knowing all their residents and go out of their way to accommodate any suggestions from us, his family. The atmosphere is positive
and constructive and residents are treated with dignity. All of the staff are happy to talk to us and answer questions, letting us know how Dad is. We were really worried about putting Dad in a care home but he has settled as well as we ever thought possible.

Reply from Torie Sabbarton, Operations Manager at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Centre

Thank you for your review of Sonya Lodge and the care your Dad is receiving. It is always good to hear that people are comfortable in their surroundings and I am glad you feel able to talk to the team about his health and well-being. Again, thank you for your positive review.

Mum has been at Abbotsleigh Care Centre for eleven months after a one-month stay at Maidstone Hospital. Abbotsleigh is set in a lovely quiet area in the countryside, you often see rabbits running around in the garden.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, despite my mum being non-verbal, they
all still sit and chat with her and let her join in all the many activities they have going on daily.
Not only do the staff look after mum they go out of their way to talk to me too, they treat me and any other visitors with the same love and care they do my mum.

Reply from Alina Abagiu, Registered Manager at Abbotsleigh Care Centre

Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt review. We are so glad to hear that your mum has settled in well with us over the past eleven months. We always strive to provide a warm and supportive environment not only for our residents but for their families as well, so it's great to hear that you feel welcomed during your visits. My mum has been a resident at the Old Downs Residential Care Centre since December 2022. The staff are absolutely brilliant with her, caring for her every need, as they do with all the residents. She always looks well presented and her smiles tell me she is very happy there. Her room is lovely and always
kept clean. I've had some lunches with mum so I know the food is lovely and delicious too. They have a good selection of activities every day so the residents get involved if they choose to. I really can't fault The Old Downs and it's so reassuring to know mum is getting the best care she needs. My family and I enjoy visiting her as the staff are so welcoming. Such a lovely place.

My mother-in-law left the hospital to live at Abbotsleigh Care Home in 2023.
Initially, she took a while to settle in, but the kindness and willingness of the staff to help her in that process was a great help.
They took the time to get to know her and all her wonderful years of life; her culture
and her history.
Now, two years on, she speaks highly of the respectful care she receives. She enjoys the garden and bird life around her, and the innovative arts, crafts and trips offered.

I always get a warm welcome when I visit, my husband is happy and well looked after. He enjoys the food. He often thinks he's in a hotel! He loves sitting in the lounge and we enjoy the decor and view of the garden.
The TV room has a very good, big screen.
We both enjoyed the Christmas party yesterday.
The singer was good and encouraged us all to sing along. There were canapes on offer in the dining room with delicious sausage rolls.
Also, rock music and we actually managed to join in the dancing!
I am 90 and my husband is 92 in January. Two staff members and I supported my husband. He could have done with a bigger bed.

Reply from Alison Ruddock, Operations & Compliance Manager at Bromley Park Care Centre

Following a very difficult and stressful period of time, we were fortunate to find a room available in St Winifreds. All the staff have been so kind and caring which has played a major role in helping me to quickly settle in and get used to the routines and all that is available to me. I can't emphasize
enough how much myself and my family needed this.
My room is like a bedroom at home and is such a massive improvement to a room in a hospital. I do not mean to criticise the hospitals, as they have a different role to play.
