The staff at this care home are amazing. Extremely caring and can't fault them. They cared for my mum and sorted all medication whilst in their care.
2 staff members in particular were superb in every way.
Anyone in the situation that we were in I would absolutely recommend this care home.

We were recommended to Orchard Lodge Care Home for my dad who arrived in June 2024 until he passed away in December 2024.
We were apprehensive about it all but the manager came out to visit my dad at home and put myself and my mum at ease.
The manager, another member of staff and the whole team
were amazing with my dad, the staff use to tell us that my dad was such a lovely man. While he was in there, my dad's health really improved for a while and it was so lovely to see walking around using his frame which he had never been able to do at home. They really took such great care of my dad.
The staff were so good with my dad and they always took time out to speak to ourselves about dad.
My dad sadly passed away in December 2024, the staff were so supportive of myself and my mum at this difficult time.
We will never forget the amazing care you gave to my dad during his time with you, the manager and the team, thank you for looking after my dad with such care and dignity.

Eaton Lodge is a smaller care home, this is reflected in the homely atmosphere it has, welcoming staff that are there to listen and help you with any questions you may have, they take time to get to know each resident, their likes and dislikes. My relative has not been the easiest to care for when first
arriving at the home, but all the staff have been patient and very understanding when caring. The meals are good, and the chef will always try and give my relative what is liked. Eaton Lodge has lots of activities going on, and the activities manager always looks to find something that my relative would like to get involved in when possible, even if staying in bed and in the room. As a relative I get regular updates via email about things that are planned for the residents, which is good to know as you are welcome to join in. Over all I find Eaton Lodge to be a warm and friendly home, it may be smaller in size, but it is big on care, and my relative is happy and content there.

Our father was discharged from hospital in May 2023 to Orchard Lodge Nursing Home where he resided until he passed away in October 2024, shortly after a wonderful 94th birthday which he shared with all the staff and other residents at the care home.
As a family, it is never an easy decision to agree
that a loved one needs 24/7 care, from day one our Dad was loved and cared for by the manager and his amazing team. Nothing was ever too much trouble from Dad's choice of food to assisting him with his personal care, the team preserved Dad's dignity at all times and treated him with the utmost respect.
Our Dad closed his eyes for the last time on 13.10.24 and his amazing care continued until his peaceful death, we can never thank the manager and his team enough for their unconditional love and care during Dad's final months, we will never forget you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

What a wonderful home. The kind caring compassionate staff (from manager to cleaner) are second to none. Having worked in several and visited some I have never seen such a good team as this one. You would have to go a long way to get a better one. They go out of their way to welcome us when we visit,
and to make sure my aunt is comfortable. Well done to all of the staff.

My father moved into Orchard Lodge in June 2023 after a period of slowly deteriorating ill health. He recently died there. From the start, the manager was so caring and kind. He was the only staff member out of all the care homes I visited that took the time to explain the home's philosophy and how
they would care for my dad. My sisters and I all lived abroad and so it was really hard for us to be so far away. Towards the end, every time I called, the manager always had time to answer my questions and give updates. Those who visited always commented on the care and compassion that the staff showed towards my father. I was very grateful for all that they did. Its an incredibly hard environment to work in and yet the staff really do care. I think that this starts with the manager and his values and then this transmit down to the whole team.

From my experience, when visiting, I have always found all the staff very welcoming and friendly. I am always greeted with a smile and nothing is too much bother for them. The whole atmosphere is very homely. My sister always looks clean and well cared for. She does enjoy her food and looks forward
to her meals. They always look very tasty and I know she enjoys them. She has the opportunity to join in with the many varied activities. I am always kept up to date with what is happening and also receive lovely pictures of the events. Always polite and attentive when we visit with my mother.
The carers are happy and doing a good job, also provide us with refreshments.
One staff member in particular, very active in including all, in the entertaining and social events, even when some residents can be difficult to engage, she is persistent
and it pays off.
Really enjoy bumping into one of the maintenance team assistants, he always very polite and on point.
He speaks to the residents when able in his work, he is an asset to the team.
Another staff member in particular again professional and informative.
All in all, happy with my Aunt's overall care at a challenging time thank you.

Dad went to Eaton Lodge after a short spell in hospital, where he was deemed too frail to return home. He was only there for a few weeks before sadly passing away. During this time, he was not the easiest of residents, being depressed and often grumpy. However, the staff at Eaton Lodge were very kind
and patient. Whenever we went to see dad, the staff were always very welcoming and were keen to tell us how dad was doing and what he'd been up to. My mum, my sister and I all knew that dad was in good hands. We are very grateful for the wonderful care and attention that dad received during this difficult time.

The care I received during my three-and-a-half-week stay at Orchard Lodge was excellent. I was at the care home having fractured my shoulder and was unable to cope with my complex medical issues without assistance. Every member of staff was committed to providing the very best of care and determined
to ensure that every need was met, both physically and emotionally, in a timely manner. They were so welcoming and willing to accommodate all of my requirements, and those of my visitors. They were keen to show respect to all of us, and dealt with my type 1 diabetes diet, changing the timings of the meals for me and adapting the content where necessary. My stay was designed for me to develop my independence, which they achieved whilst also being aware of my safety. The setting of the home is in a lovely village location; the gardens are beautiful and wildlife is encouraged. On days when the weather allowed I was able sit with my visitors and enjoy these surroundings. Thank you!

My father was discharged to Orchard Lodge from hospital. He was at end of life and sadly my mother was no longer able to care for him due to his significant health needs. From the moment we met with the manager we were put at ease. We asked what the rules were in terms of visits. His answer was that
this was now my father's home and that we should treat it as such respecting my own father's wishes and feelings. It didn't matter what time we visited, we were welcomed and looked after by the staff. My father was treated with dignity which was so important to him. Although ideally he would have wanted to be home, he did not ever complain about how he was treated and trust me given he had full capacity he could easily have done so. I remember my father's 93rd birthday which was made so special and memorable by the staff. My father passed away on 03-05-2024 and we are welcome to visit the home anytime we wish which is a real comfort to my mum and me. Thank you to the manager and staff.

Thank you for expressing your genuine experience which I will share with all the team. It is positive comments like these that spur me and our team in our endeavour to continually look for ways to improve our services.
