  • Care Homes Owned by Forest Healthcare
Forest Healthcare's vision is to transform the perception and experience of care from something driven out of necessity to something that represents a positive choice for improved quality of life.

Forest Healthcare provides specialist residential, nursing and dementia care for over 650 residents across South East England. Since opening their first home in 1994 they have grown and now employ over 1000 highly skilled workers whose primary role is to provide clients and families with the very best person-centred care available.

In addition to providing high quality 24-hour residential nursing care for elderly persons aged 65 to 100 years and over, they offer respite, postoperative care and crisis intervention services. Several of their facilities cater to younger clients aged 18 and above, including those suffering from neurological and spinal conditions. Other facilities offer more specialist care for conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, MS, brain injuries, stroke rehabilitation and challenging behaviour.

As a group, Forest Healthcare runs 13 individual care centres in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, London and Norfolk. Their Centre Managers are all vastly experienced and have proven track records in the care industry. They are supported by a dedicated Operational Care Team, many of whom were former Centre Managers themselves.

Their primary objective is to improve the quality of life of the people they care for. They seek to promote independence, choice and dignity of the individual and believe that people must be safe and secure at all times, whilst providing a relaxed and stimulating environment that motivates them to live a full and happy life.

My father has been so well looked after, fantastic home with excellent staff. After weeks in hospital he was so weak and unhappy, but within two weeks at Cedars he looked well and so healthy and was so much happier in himself.

Hassingham House Care Centre

My husband was placed in Hassingham for end of life care. Whilst this situation is not a good one for either resident or relatives, our family felt that he was given the utmost care and respect until his final moments. When he could eat, he was surprised by the excellent menu on offer. Even the young
carers seem to have been given excellent training, the nursing staff were fully conversant with everything that could be done to ease any pain and is was especially struck by the fact that all of the staff took time to speak with the family when we were struggling. I only gave the rooms a 4* rating because even though they are quite spacious, they could probably do with a little upgrade and my husband could not use and activities because of his poor health. However, I would always prioritise excellent care over a slightly dated room so would recommend to anyone needing such a service.

The home supports a variety of needs and the staff are caring and supportive of the residents. There seems to be a low staff turnover and you see the same staff regularly which is comforting as they know the residents. When you visit your relative the staff always stop to talk to you and nothing is
too much trouble even when they are extremely busy.

My daughter has been in Hassingham House since January 2024. I've always felt very welcome and like a part of the family when I go in.
They have recently hired a chef who is amazing, & a new hairdresser. The activities are very good & important for the residents.
The carers & nurses are very easy
to approach & do a great job.
The management has recently been replaced and things seem to be working out well there too.
All in all, Hassingham House is highly recommended by me!

I visit a lot of care homes with friends and family in London. By far The Cedars is the best, the home itself is very clean, welcoming and friendly. The care staff are very professional and very good at supporting my mum with dementia. Always doing activities and stimulating my mum. She has really improved
her well-being.

Management and carers all very welcoming and engaged to take around the centre and answer all questions posed openly and fully. Room is nice and clean, furniture looks to be in good order. The day room is light and airy and accommodates comfortably all the resident. During my visit there was karaoke,
residents were encouraged to get involved and lots of happy energy could be felt. Nurse and daytime carers were all attentive, caring and keep close eyes on residents.

My husband has been a resident at The Cedars Care Centre for some three-and-a-half years. During this time he has been cared for extremely well. Any concerns I may have are always thoroughly addressed. Management, nurses and carers and activities personnel are kind, caring, thoughtful and considerate
not just for my husband but also for me, his wife. They find the time to listen, be compassionate, care for relatives and be very supportive. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Cedars Court Care Centre.

I am very pleased with the level of care and attention Ash Court Care Home provides my mother. From the first point of admission we as a family have been reassured that she is welcome, she is seen, her personal choices/prefernences respected. Staff and care home manager have been consistently polite,
caring, respectful, reassuring and patient with our mother as well as various members of the family. Our mother is very happy with her new home and would not dream of being anywhere else.

Mum has been very well looked after since she has resided at The Poplars. The care staff really do care and support staff are very friendly and helpful as well. The food is plentiful & nicely presented even though mum has to have hers pureed. Mum's clothes are always clean and she herself is kept clean
too. Health & safety rules are always followed & people come in regularly to check on mum's well-being. I have no complaints whatsoever on the care mum receives.
