I felt relieved and very pleased to bring my mum to Abbey Chase. Her hospital experience was degrading and horrendous. I feel reassured that my mum is being looked after by people who care, from the cleaners to the carers and nurses and management staff, they are approachable and helpful.

My father was a resident of the Summers for only a short time but during his stay he was treated with dignity & respect by all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for my father & my family whenever we went to visit. I only have positive things to say about the staff, their professionalism, empathy
& genuine care they showed my father. I will never forget how my father & I were treated. Thank you to all the staff!

My mum stayed at the Brownscombe Care Residency for about four weeks on end of life care. In that time she was so well looked after by all the nursing staff, who were always on hand to deal with any questions I or any other members of our family had. When mum first arrived at the home she was amazed
at the facilities on offer like the cinema room and salon. As mum's health deteriorated she was always treated with care and dignity until she sadly passed away.

Time to leave an honest review now that my mother has been moved to another care home, where she will receive the care that Surbiton care home pledged to do. My complaints are in the space of two years, my Mother has been given the wrong medication. I have visited to take her out to find her in dirty
clothes. One summer visit mum was wheeled out in a Christmas jumper! We have had endless clothes, blankets go missing, medication found on the bedroom floor. She had been taken to hospital and left on her own, no notification to the family for several hours. Hospitalised due to an accident caused by a member of staff, twice! by same staff member that was subsequently sacked, as we were told by the manager. In all honesty there was not one single area that any of the staff excelled in. My mothers wedding ring that my late father bought over 70 years ago, has been stolen, obviously by a member of staff, it is no longer on my Mothers finger, and is nowhere to be found in the home, stolen!

We were given this care home as one of three options on discharge from hospital after a stroke. It was definitely the best of the three. The management team is approachable and friendly and the care staff are gentle and caring. Any time there was an issue this could be discussed and corrected promptly.
The entertainment team are delightful and tries and keep people busy. The rooms vary in size, price and convenience for the communal areas, so you "pay your price".

I'm So pleased with The Summers, my mum's been here for two years and her health has continued to stay stable while she's been here. She was ill just before Christmas and if it wasn't down to the staff at The Summers, the manager and the carers, Mum's infected gallbladder would've gone unnoticed by
the GP, but they were so insistent on getting her seen and even called an ambulance when the GP said she was fine and just a sickness bug. It really is like one big family and they look after Mum really well, it's taken away so much stress knowing she's safe and cared for.

My dear Mum has been at Abbey Chase Nursing Home since November, initially for respite, however, has now become a resident which I am very pleased about. The home is very friendly, caring and kind.
