Mum was with Oakwood for 5 years. She struggled to settle due to her Alzheimer's/dementia and the home was so supportive during that time. We found the staff to be friendly and caring throughout. As Mum's dementia progressed I felt reassured that she was being well cared for. The home was always spotless
and light and airy and most importantly full of life. We sat by Mum's bedside for many hours in her final 9 days and were so impressed with the care and dignity shown to Mum and also for us. Nothing was too much trouble and if you have to make the difficult decision of care for your loved one. I would not hesitate to recommend Oakwood. Thank you!

At 91 years old our mother recently came to the decision that she could no longer carry on living independently. She wanted more help and above all companionship. Having visited a few care homes, the moment she walked into Oakwood Court she knew this was where she wanted to be. From the outset everyone
involved couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating and have gone out of their way to help ensure a stress free transition. Nothing has been too much trouble. Her needs and wishes are sought and acted upon by everyone and Steve, the wonderful handyman, has done all he can to ensure her room is as cosy, comfortable and homely as can be. We were also impressed with how a recent medical situation was dealt with quickly and efficiently. What we her daughters always imagined would be a difficult time, has proved anything but. In just a few weeks, our mother has settled in, is happy and feels very safe and secure in her new home. Maybe the delicious food she enjoys plays a part too.

She has complex needs but always feels supported and included in all activities etc. My sister is happy

My Mother is a resident of Woodlands Care Home. I visit often with my wife. The care home is good in all care, activities, and safety/security and satisfactory in all other areas. It seems well managed and the staff are fine. I would like to see more care staff and perhaps more individual choices of
food.

A very welcoming care home. My mum spent a short respite break at Saxonwood and the staff made her feel very much at home and special.
The building, especially the lounge, is bright and airy and her room was very comfortable and easily accessible.

Saxonwood Care Home is a haven for my Mum. She is warm and well cared for by genuinely kind staff. The food is specially prepared for her and as she says she doesn't have to shop, cook, or wash up, she just has to eat!
She is a joy to visit because she is so glad of this place.

Mum had been at Woodlands since February 2020 and was well cared for despite being a little bit fussy. Nothing was too much trouble for the care staff. In September she became unwell and didn't want to go to hospital. She passed away at Woodlands under the care of the capable and lovely staff. Myself
and my sister were glad that her wishes were listened to and we were grateful for the care that she received. She left this world in a peaceful place. Thank you all.

I cannot give a high enough recommendation for Saxonwood.
The level of care, respect and integrity given to residents by all the extremely attentive and diligent members of staff is the level many other care homes should aspire to.

The new decoration and layout of the communal rooms gives an impression of being at home. It is a great improvement and demonstrates the caring attitude of the home.

Oakwood feels like a family. Staff always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. A bright clean environment with a warm welcome to everyone. Any issues are dealt with immediately and everyone is kept up to date.
Respect and dignity are at the forefront of care at Oakwood. Food is nutritious and delicious.
Beautiful cakes baked individually for birthdays. Thank you to all at Oakwood.

On arriving I was met with a friendly welcome and shown to the dining room to join my stepfather in a competition. All were pretty intent at this, I was able to help a little with one or two of the anagrams, however, he didn't come first but it was clear that it was a successful morning. All too soon
it was lunch time and time to be away to do my shopping and get my lunch!

For the 2 years my mother was looked after very well, I think she enjoyed her time here. As a family, we had no problems with her care. She has now sadly passed away.
