This is an amazing place and we are forever grateful for their wonderful care of my dad, following his fall and after 10 days in hospital, he was discharged to Milton Grange for Rehabilitation. He spent 4 weeks in their care and they got him back to independent living. The difference in him from when
he went into their care, to when he walked out was incredible. All of the staff are absolutely amazing, professional, patient, skilful, caring and nothing is too much trouble for them, we visited at all hours and they could not have been more welcoming. It was like being in a small family-run hotel. The decor was uplifting and the room was bright, well decorated and along with the en suite bathroom, was kept immaculately clean. His laundry was attended to each day and delivered back clean and pressed. Food was excellent. This is an incredible asset to the area and its residents and we thank you from the bottom of our heart for all of your help with Dad.

I would like to express my thanks for the wonderful care given to my husband when he came to you for rehabilitation after a lengthy spell in hospital. The staff were all friendly and caring and the facilities and services excellent. We both feel very grateful that such a great place is available in
Eastbourne and long may it continue to do so. Thank you.

I want to give our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Milton Grange. They are all amazing, friendly, approachable and so caring, nothing was too much trouble. My 93 year old mother came to Milton Grange for rehab following a spell in hospital. She made huge progress in such a short space of time and
was able to return to her own home much more quickly than she or we could have hoped for. Milton Grange is a shining example of what a care home should be. Thank you all!

The staff here are amazing. Father had fall in flat and after the hospital went to Milton Grange. Nothing too much trouble for any of the staff, down to the receptionist. Dad is doing really well, even after a week, and I hope to have him home soon for his 101st birthday. Thank you, Milton Grange.

Staff are excellent, all very kind and friendly, good modern amenities, very clean, nice reception area, lounge and dining room, feels more like a hotel than a care home.

I can’t tell you how superb this rehab care home is. The staff are amazing, the care they give is above and beyond. It’s so difficult when it’s a 5 hour round trip to see mum so I have to rely on good care and that’s exactly what she’s getting well done and thank you so much. I was so nervous about
seeing mum but it was fab, we laughed so much. You totally deserve your CQC outstanding.

My mother had a six-week respite at Milton Grange and I can't stress enough how professional and caring the staff were to my mother and our family. We cannot thank them enough for all their help and aftercare advice. My family would not hesitate to recommend them to other families who are in need of
care and recovery. Without them, my mother's health would have gone downhill fast.

My mother has recently spent 4 weeks at Milton Grange following her fall and breaking her hip. The staff were amazing, the building is spotlessly clean and my mother has been able to return to her independent living following her period of rehabilitation.

I was horrified to learn that the centre

is under threat of closure to make financial gains for the government. The service provided would have cost the state far more if she had returned home straight from hospital and the regime to bring back her confidence and get her fit again could not have been achieved so professionally.

I hope those who make these decisions regarding this facility never have cause to need to use it or indeed themselves if the government get their way and it is closed. I wrote to the local MP but to date have heard nothing back. Unfortunately I am not surprised.

So in conclusion I would like to thank all the amazing staff at Milton Grange on behalf of myself and my mother - you do a brilliant job.

After staying in Eastbourne’s stroke unit at the General District Hospital. Dad stayed for four weeks at Milton Grange to be assessed. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They were happy, obliging, caring, polite, attentive and thoughtful. They really lifted the spirits of residences which in
turn helped their attitude for life. The activities were engaging and kept everyone interested. It was always clean, the security was never an issue and the food was lovely and seemed home cooked. I wish that Hastings had a unit like this. It’s been much more helpful in Dad’s health than staying in the hospital - which must stop bed blocking.

The quality of care at Milton Grange was excellent. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The needs of my mother were picked up and responded to. Communication with us as a family was appropriate and respectful to my mother's privacy.
Having worked in the NHS myself for 17 years, I can honestly
say it was truly refreshing to see such superb care. It demonstrated it can be done. I would not hesitate to have a relative stay there.

A superb rehabilitation home. My 94-year-old mother-in-law spent several weeks there and when she arrived, she could barely stand with assistance, was frail and losing weight through loss of appetite after four weeks in hospital.

The change in her is unbelievable. After being given the care and

attention from all the staff and eating enjoyable meals, where she complemented the chef to us, She now walks confidently, and can stand for a short time unaided without holding her walking frame. She is alert and enjoying her life again attending three different activities a week, two at Milton Grange and one elsewhere.

Cannot say enough about this wonderful place which sets the standard for care and nursing homes alike.

My 93 year old mother was fortunate enough to be able to attend Milton Grange both as a part of the day care program and on two occasions for a week's respite. The standard of care provided under both circumstances was indeed outstanding. Mum always displayed a sense of achievement and indeed pleasure
post attendance due to her condition and lack of memory details were lost, the sense of well being was not, indeed it was noticeable every time.

I'd like to register our sincere thanks as a family to all of your team for the professional manner in which they performed their various tasks not only did mum benefit directly but both my wife and I as full time carers also derived benefit, to such an extent its difficult to quantify. Our eight year task has taken a change in direction of late and it's time to say a well deserved "Thank you" to the Milton Grange team you are all so appreciated.
