My Mum became a resident at Adelaide House in February 2024 following a stroke. She had dementia which worsened and she lost her mobility. I had always been concerned about how Mum would be cared for if she went into a home but any worries I had quickly disappeared. The team have been fantastic in every
way: kind, gentle, professional and supportive. Mum passed away peacefully a couple of weeks ago, and she was treated with dignity and love until the end. I am so grateful to the staff team for everything they do and for the support they also gave to me.

My wife was discharged from hospital in June 2024 on palliative care at home with carers visits four times a day, until October, when she went into Adelaide House for two weeks respite care as it was becoming very difficult at home, ,and getting steadily worse. Unfortunately her health continued to
deteriorate and it was decided that the best option was for her to remain there permanently on continuing palliative care. Once settled in she was happy and very well looked after by all members of the team from top to bottom, the accommodation, food, facilities, medical care etc were all to a high standard.
There was always a happy, welcoming, supportive and "can do" , attitude from all staff, which we as family saw many times a week on our regular visits.

My father moved to Adelaide House, the day before Christmas Eve, when he could no longer manage in his own home. The staff were extremely welcoming to both him and our family which helped him quickly settle in. He and I went to the Christmas Day lunch and he was fully involved in the celebrations. The
care he received from the moment he arrived was exemplary and characterised by respect, dignity and compassion. We were able to visit every day and personally kept fully informed of any treatment and medication that he received. All of the staff treated both him and us with great kindness and although he sadly passed away a month after arriving, at the great age of 102, we felt that he could not have been in a better place than Adelaide House as his life drew to a close.

Adelaide House is run by some of the most caring and kind people you could ever wish to meet. It is kept clean and organised whilst maintaining the feel of a safe and homelike environment. In my grandmother's last few months they took spectacular care of her in every possible way and kept me well informed
of any updates over the phone and in person. I always felt very welcome when visiting and grew to consider the staff more as friends, as they are all lovely people. The food provided is varied and delicious, the smell from the kitchen made you wish you were joining for dinner or lunch! Compared to other care homes in the surrounding areas, which I visited, I found that Adelaide house is very reasonably priced, whilst offering a very personal and high quality level of care. Should you be in need of care services for yourself or others, in Haywards Heath or the central Sussex area, I would highly recommend contacting Adelaide house.

The staff at Wellington were always very attentive, pleasant and polite. Their attitude to our friend was always the most caring. We were frequently offered coffee and biscuits when we visited! The room was kept very clean and at no time did we observe any soiled bedding.

The care that my mother received at Bletchingley & Wellington was outstanding. The staff made the last few years of her life as comfortable as they could be, they fully understood her condition and always acted in both a professional and a compassionate manner. The facilities are great, the home is
very well organised and represents good value for money.

This care home has been phenomenal looking after Grandad. I was apprehensive when I knew Grandad was being moved to a care home but very quickly, my worries disappeared. The staff are what make this home so special, they were there to care for him, make him laugh and hold his hand when we couldn't.
They treated him with love, compassion and dignity and supported us, as a family, in the same way. Trusting strangers with the person you love most is incredibly hard but knowing each time we left him he would be cared for by the Bletchingley staff made it slightly easier. Grandad loved the team here who became an extended family for him over the last two years and I am forever grateful to them.

I have been so pleased with the care my darling aunty has been receiving at Adelaide House. I could not have looked after her better myself. The staff are so kind and friendly, and they treat residents with sensitivity to their individual needs and with dignity. I live too far away to visit often, so
I love the newsletters with pictures of my aunty enjoying activities and outings. It is so nice and reassuring that residents are helped to lead as normal a life as possible, with a summer garden party, Christmas cocktail party and garden centre visits. A big thank you to all the staff who work so hard to help my aunty be comfortable and happy.

My father moved into Adelaide House last year, after a dreadful spell in hospital. Happily, he is now very comfortable and settled at Adelaide House. The staff are thoroughly professional while also being compassionate and caring. His nursing needs are dealt with to a high standard, but equally important,
the staff make time to talk with him and ensure that his well-being needs are also met. During my visits, I have enjoyed meeting with both management and staff and all have been courteous and helpful. I am really glad my father ended up here and most importantly - so is he!

Our mother moved to Adelaide House in December after a time in Hospital. From the moment we stepped into Adelaide House we were impressed at how all the staff made us feel so welcome. Mum has been independent for 95 years and we knew this was going to be a difficult move for her, all the staff have
shown her kindness and given her time to adjust and settle into her new surroundings. Nothing has been too much trouble and they show so much compassion and dignity towards all their residents, it's been a humbling experience. It's good to see Mum relaxed and smiling again. I would highly recommend Adelaide House for your loved ones.

Our father moved to Adelaide House in mid-November. From the moment he was welcomed in, he was taken care of so well and thoughtfully, the staff could not do enough for him. The week after he moved there he celebrated his 99th birthday and the staff decorated his room, made a 99 cake and sang Happy
Birthday to him! It was a wonderful day for him, also I got to see him out of bed which I hadn't seen since January 2024 as he had been bedbound in the intervening months. He settled in so well but sadly died 2 weeks after moving to Adelaide House. Again the care at this sad time was superb, I stayed with him throughout the night and the nursing staff were so supportive then and afterwards when we came to empty his room. I would not hesitate to recommend Adelaide House for the wonderful care they gave our father in his last weeks of life.

Lovely home. Great staff looked after my mum so very well. Mum was very anxious going into a care facility after many years of being independent. As soon as she arrived at Wellington, she was treated with a warm welcome. She was encouraged to go out of her room and down to the lounge to socialise and
join in with activities. This has really been a turning point for her. All of the staff are so kind and respectful.
Mum was only there for rehabilitation but if she could have stayed there she would!

All the staff are really friendly and helpful. Adelaide runs like clockwork and all the rooms are clean. They arrange various activities for those who wish to join in and cater for individual needs. I used to visit once a week with my Therapy dog Willow who the residents loved. I was made very welcome
and it was nice to chat to the residents about their history and past. There is no shortage of food they are very well looked after at Adelaide House Nursing Home.

My brother has lived at Bletchingley for two years. The home is a lovely environment, always extremely clean with residents clearly well cared for. The rooms are light, airy and comfortable. The staff are absolutely lovely. All very friendly, caring and kind. I feel like it is one big family. They always
make us welcome, bringing tea or coffee. They treat all the residents with kindness and respect. I feel that my brother is very happy there.

Unfortunately, my father passed away in October, however prior to that, he had been a resident for nearly three years. During that time, he was looked after to an exceptional standard, all the rooms and living areas were kept clean and tidy and you could be forgiven for thinking that you were in a friend's
home when sitting in the lounge.
However, for me, the big difference was the lovely staff and the level and quality of care provided. The staff are all very polite, well mannered and friendly at all times. They also ensure that a large variety of social activities are provided for the residents but ultimately, the choice is left to the individual to either join in or not, respecting their dignity at all times.
If and when it is my turn to move to care, I hope I can end up in a place run to the same high levels and with similar lovely people.

I was admitted to Bletchingley & Wellington following a cardiac arrest and being displaced since I lived alone. The staff and management go out of their way to assist all residents, ensuring everyone is looked after. Tidy rooms, hot meals, excellent facilities and weekly entertainment to keep residents
happy.
Sad to have been shifted.

Adelaide House is a great care home. Dignity is at the heart of everything they do. They always display care and sensitivity towards the residents and are eager to help them maintain as good a quality of life as is possible. They run activities often, including visitors to the home and trips out for
those who can go. They also hold various parties and events throughout the year including a summer garden party and a Christmas cocktail party (with raffle prizes!). My dad has been a resident, following a stroke, since 2004, and throughout that time, they have done their best to support and care for him.

Unfortunately, I am not able to visit as often as I would like but my brother seems so much more relaxed and happy in his new environment due mainly to the lovely staff. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. On one occasion there was music and a m\le singer and it was obvious that the patients (and
visitors) were thoroughly enjoying it with the tapping and mouthing the words. One lady, helped by a member of staff, danced the whole time, she looked so happy. You seem to have found the answer in caring for those that need that extra bit of care. Well done and thank you.

We have visited quite a few times and on each occasion we have found all of the staff to be so welcoming. There seems to be sufficient staff numbers for them to provide the care and attention that the residents need. It is nice to see that entertainment is provided which the residents seem to enjoy
a great deal and provides stimulation to their brains and exercise to those who decide to dance a little.

Our 95-year-old Dad moved to Adelaide House in July 2024 after a 4-month stay in hospital following two strokes. Before his strokes, Dad had been living independently in his own home, so we were unsure how well he would take to living in a residential care setting.
We are delighted that he has settled
in so well at Adelaide. The staff are attentive and kind, and in his own words he says 'They can't do enough for me'. He loves his room, the food, and the level of care he receives. We visit regularly but are kept informed of any issues Dad might have.
We are more than satisfied that he is very well cared for and that his needs, both medical and practical are met. We would not hesitate to recommend Adelaide House to anyone seeking residential care for a friend or family member.
