So pleased with the care that Mum has received since she came to The Old Vicarage for end-of-life care. The staff are all so friendly and respectful of Mum who has been independent until a fall seven months ago. Whilst she would have preferred to be at home, the home has provided the next best option
for her. Thank you.

We are very happy with the care that Dad is receiving. The staff are very kind and respectful of Dad's needs. There is a friendly homely feel around the home as well and the staff are very welcoming. The food is fresh and tasty with good portion sizes. There are regular activities planned for the residents.
The cleaning staff are very thorough and the whole home is always very clean.

My sister has been in Apsley House Care Home for over two years, in that time she was treated with much respect. The love and kindness shown to her has been amazing. She was treated so well by the staff and management. I cannot fault them and will always be grateful to them.

When my father deteriorated rapidly and could no longer be cared for at home Apsley House Care Home came to our rescue. The staff admitted him with efficiency and the care they gave him throughout his short, end-of-life stay was second to none. Everyone who we had contact with was kind, caring and ensured
Dad's last days on earth were pain-free, comfortable, dignified and peaceful. We could not have done this without you, thank you all.

We moved Dad to Apsley House Care Home in mid-November 2024 as he needed full-time nursing care during what we knew would be his final few months (he died in mid-January aged 95). The home and all the staff have been absolutely brilliant throughout. Dad was treated with love, care and dignity and the
support provided not only to him but to my sister and myself has been first-class. It was always a pleasure to visit, the home is friendly, efficiently run, open and airy, warm, clean and the staff always had a smile and were welcoming and empathetic. Dad could not have been in a better place or better cared for and my sister and I will be eternally grateful to the whole team that Dad's final few months were spent there. Thank you to all of you, you do a difficult job brilliantly and have made a real and positive difference.

My sister died at Apsley House Care Home on the 5th of December 2024. She went to Apsley House in January 2023 as the care home she had lived in previously could no longer cope with her increasing fragility and falls. Apsley House staff on arrangement have been wonderful with her during the two years
she was with them. They managed to maintain a light-hearted friendliness at the same time as scrupulous attention to the nursing and medical needs of my sister.

After eight weeks in the hospital, our mum age 95 came to The Old Vicarage for end-of-life care, as a family, we were exhausted after four years of dementia caring, and on our first visit to The Old Vicarage were taken aback by the calm, caring atmosphere and wonderful, caring staff. My mother-in-law
passed away after three peaceful weeks in a beautiful room overlooking the garden with the sun shining, a gentle breeze and the birds singing. God bless you all and thank you.

My mother was given end-of-life diagnosis in the hospital. We were recommended The Old Vicarage by a friend of my daughter. After an agonising couple of years worrying about what we might face in selecting a care home, we found The Old Vicarage. A place of sanctuary, love and care for my mum who was
given a beautiful room overlooking the beautiful garden. She spent her last days surrounded by love and the best care we could wish for.

The Old Vicarage is a fantastic care home my mum was in their care for a short time and they treated her like family and respect and kindness. Her meals were fantastic and nothing was ever too much trouble whether it was for my mum or for our family, the support they gave us was remarkable.
They also
made my mum smile with the entertainment and the way they would come and sit with her for chats and cuddles, thank you all, we will always think of you all as our family.

There aren't enough words to phrase all the staff at The Old Vicarage Care Home. Our mum was a resident there for just over 2 months, when she sadly passed away. Throughout her time there Mum was shown so much kindness, nothing was ever too much trouble. All staff were upbeat, keeping spirits high amongst
residents. Always organising activities, giving residents things to look forward to and making things fun. Mum also had her hair and nails done, which she absolutely loved, along with the yummy food! We spent a lot of time there with Mum and found all staff to be so supportive, not just with Mum, but to all of us as a family. We highly recommend this wonderful care home, with the most hardworking, caring and kind staff. Thank you to you all for making Mum's time with you the best it could be.

My neighbour and friend is extremely well looked after here. She settled in well, the staff ethos is excellent - everyone seems to be very caring-natured people. It's a good, supportive, caring culture. The food always smells and looks delicious. Any health issues seem to be picked up and dealt with
swiftly and effectively. I've sung the praise of this care home to many people!
