My mother had her 90th Birthday this month. I discussed this with the senior managers at the care home, who exceeded all expectations by supporting us with a party at a weekend so that a small group of relatives and friends could attend (and even provided a cake). They also had an internal party on
the day of the Birthday as well, as it was not possible for some key family to attend.

Great team of staff, very friendly and helpful. As a result of my wife's condition it was very stressful looking after her at home, I can only praise the dedication of the staff under very difficult conditions. Have recommended the home to friends and family.

Manager has an open door policy. Staff are very friendly Meals always look appetising.
Dad took a while to settle but is now settled and happy to be living here. Room is always clean.

Brook House is a wonderful care home. My mother has been a resident nearly 3 years. I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible compassionate care that my mother receives. The dedicated team of staff truly understand her needs and are always on the end of the phone, if I have any questions.

Staff are always welcoming and friendly. They are always happy to speak with you if concerns arise. I feel mum is well looked after and happy here. Life for mum is kept normal and lots of things arranged socially both in the home and out in the community where she has lived all her life. Very happy

My granddad has been staying at this residential home since 2023 and both my mother and I cannot find enough words to describe how grateful and appreciative we are for my granddad to be staying in such a wonderful residential home. The staff treat the residents with so much care, respect, kindness,
patience and love which has been so heart warming to witness. My granddad's first language isn't English, however the staff has made sure to make my he feel so comfortable and not lonely by providing a TV for him in the residential living room that plays channels in his native language all day, using flash cards and translate to communicate with my granddad. During the week there are always activities going on to keep the residents entertained and to stimulate their minds. If all care workers in the world were like the staff from this residential home, then the world would of been a much better, and safer place, for our elders.

My wife has Alzheimer's which was diagnosed at the end of 2020. She was admitted to the Forget Me Not Ward of Glennfield on 29/04/2024. From the start, this was not a good experience as she was left alone in her room for long periods of time and I discussed this with them, requesting for her to be moved
to the Poppy Ward. We had to wait for a room to become vacant and I am unable to remember the transfer date. I am now very happy with the Poppy Ward. The staff are all very nice and the level of care is excellent. She has now settled down very well.

I couldn't praise Hunter's Down Care Home in Huntingdon enough. My Nan was a resident there, and the care she received was truly outstanding. The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and always went the extra mile to make sure she felt comfortable and valued.
The home was clean, welcoming, and had
a warm, family-like atmosphere. It was wonderful to see my Nan happy, well cared for, and enjoying the activities provided. The staff always kept us informed, which gave our whole family peace of mind.
Hunter's Down is more than just a care home, it's a place where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and genuine warmth. I'm so grateful for the love and support they gave my Nan, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding care for a loved one.

I was so pleased to see my dear friend being so well cared for in this lovely home. It really is just the right place for her and she seems very happy and has settled in very well. She tells me that the staff are very caring and she enjoys the daily activities and entertainment.
It all looks very
clean and is a friendly, comfortable environment. She didn't complain about anything at all and she is not always the easiest person to please!

We visit my dad every fortnight and each time we visit he is being cared for very well. It is obvious the staff on Bluebell know him well and as such are able to attend to his needs well. Communication from the home to me is frequent and I always feel my dad is safe and as well as can be expected considering
his advanced condition of dementia.
