My mum has been here 15 months and the care she receives is excellent. The staff are consistently caring and as they are permanent this greatly help Mum feel safe and has built some lasting relationships which gives us as a family reassurance that when we're not with her she is haooy. The level of activity
is amazing, with new activities and current affairs taken into account.

Since Mm joined Redwalls in December 2024 she has been very well supported through her grief at losing Dad and also the trauma of leaving her home of 54 years. Whenever we have had a concern, there has been a prompt response and a good resolution. Staff are very nice, warm and friendly to Mum and extremely
welcoming of all our family members. We have confidence that we can work well together with Redwalls to achieve the best outcome for Mum.

Well organised and staffed home, welcoming with pleasant facilities. Responsive to individual needs and efficiently run without loss of the personal touch. Staff seem kind, thoughtful and attentive and the home is clean and odour-free. Good fresh food with ample choice, and help when needed. Individual
rooms are a fair size and nicely presented, and the home has an array of spaces for daytime leisure, whether convivial or more secluded. Open and flexible visiting arrangements with adequate parking space, and a diverse range of itinerant services attending regularly. The home is warm and comfortable, and my mother seems very happy and well cared for.

Park Lane Residential Home

from David T (Husband of Resident) published on 4 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Park Lane was the first choice of three homes assessed independently by me and my daughter for my wife who suffers from dementia. Having moved her into there in February, we are delighed with our choice. Most importantly, my wife has settled quickly and is content with her situation which has assured
us that we made the right choice for her. All staff are very friendly and welcoming and the home has a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The level of care provided is high and carers and management are quick to inform me of aspects of my wife's care and to seek my agreement where changes are proposed. There are additional activities both in groups and at a personal level as necessary to add stimulation for residents. We have also been allowed to personalise my wife's room with reminders of her family life to make it feel more homely. Even our 5 year old Grandson said that it was a nice hotel on a recent visit. Thanks to all for helping us through this difficult decision.

Park Lane Residential Home

from Sue J (Resident) published on 27 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My 93 year old Mother has been a resident at Park Lane care home since November 2022.
Park Lane is such a lovely residential care home, relatively small and has a very homely atmosphere.
ALL of the staff are amazing, they do such a wonderful job of taking care of all the residents.
My Mum is so
well looked after, the home is immaculate, the chef bakes all the residents a beautiful birthday cake on their birthdays, it was Mums 93rd birthday last week and she had a lovely day and was presented with a gorgeous birthday cake, candles to blow out after everybody sang to her!
It gives me peace of mind knowing that my Mum is being so well looked after and that she is happy and very content!
The home does activities with the residents, recreation, baking, entertainment. A marvellous place for a loved one to be in! I can highly recommend Park Lane. The carers treat the residents with dignity and respect, they all do such a wonderful job and I can't thank them enough!

My husband was admitted to Sharston House in January 2025 having spent most of December in hospital. We abandoned our wish to take care of him at home, sadly and reluctantly after his diagnosis indicated that he required professional nursing care.
Sharston House has more than answered the needs of
my husband and ourselves, his family. Professional standard nursing, an attractive bed sitting room and most importantly, kind, empathic and tireless care has offered us as a family, a welcome reassurance. Thank you, Sharston House!

I cannot praise the staff and care at Redwalls highly enough. They really go the extra mile to provide individual care and assistance to the residents with their wide variety of needs. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming and residents and visitors treated with respect and kindness. It is a joy
to visit my friend and watch her grow in confidence and see her enjoying the activities provided. It is a very special place, full of love and compassion, it is wonderful to feel part of the Redwalls family when I visit.

Beautiful setting, comfortable and pleasantly decorated clean rooms. Excellent car provided for Dad. All the staff are and always have been helpful, kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble (an extra chair was provided at Dad's bedside so that I could hold his hand). Plenty of drinks/snacks are
available for Dad and tea is offered to visitors if required.
Over the years Dad has said how happy he is at Redwalls. A lovely home to live in with wonderful nursing care, food, and activities.

Park Lane Residential Home

from Carrie W (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother has been a resident of Park Lane Residential Home for over three years. Throughout this time she has been cared for with kindness, thoughtfulness and sensitivity. On my visits to see her I am always impressed by the way the carers deal with residents who are upset or exhibiting challenging
behaviour. In fact I often find myself remarking to friends that I don't know how they stay so calm!
The staff are always welcoming and friendly. If there is a need to inform me about any personal issues they will contact me right away rather than wait for my next visit.
My mother recently reached her 100th birthday. I cannot emphasise enough how helpful the activity organiser and manager were in planning and even organising her birthday celebrations. A day my family will never forget. Even going as far as encouraging others to send cards in order that my mother had over a hundred on the day. The home also provided cakes, sweets and drinks for the children.

My mum, family and friends enjoyed a delightful afternoon celebrating her 100th Birthday in the lovely cafe on the upper floor. We can't praise the staff enough for ensuring it was a day to remember. The chef and kitchen staff produced a wonderful array of tasty delights plus a beautiful birthday cake.
The
staff are always caring, kind and respectful to my mum and visitors are really welcomed. To us, the staff feel like our extended family.

Sharston House was a godsend for us finding a care home for my mum. I knew on first meeting the lovely staff and looking round that it would be perfect and I was right. The nurses and all the staff in the kitchen and laundry are so wonderful. Special mention must be given to 5 members of staff in particular
for their beautiful, caring, detailed attentions and nursing expertise. When I heard Mum say 'I'm so lucky to be here', I was very glad. The atmosphere and the room are very nice and I can recommend the home fully.

Over all Mum is treated really well. Just would prefer a catch-up with medical staff on a more regular basis. Although management has changed I still haven't met the new manager and I am usually here twice a week.

My mum has been a resident of Sharston House since July 2024. She has significant nursing needs and it took time to find her a nursing home which could care for her effectively. It gives much comfort to know she is now receiving the care she needs in a place she now feels at home. The management and
staff are extremely professional, caring, attentive and helpful, both inhouse and facilitating with hospital appointments. Communication is regular and timely. They go above and beyond.

Pros:
Kept informed of events.
Carers are always pleasant.
Care taken to meet the requests of Mother.
Nursing staff informative - take time to ensure.
Cons:
My Mother feels that sometimes carers may walk away as she is speaking to them.
Consider sending a monthly activity chart out so relatives
have a discussion.
