Peninsula Care Homes is a family run Devon based company committed to provide exceptional residential, nursing and dementia care. The Managing Director joined the company in 2005, working then with her late father before taking the reigns in 2009.

Peninsula Care Homes Ltd was established in 2003, purchasing 5 existing homes that had been run as individual homes. Peninsula have heavily invested in their homes and staff and continue to do so. The management team is very much present and involved with the homes, creating strong working relationships with the staff and getting to know the wishes of residents.

All five homes offer homely environments with excellent facilities, a wide programme of activities, and nutritious good quality food. Our Step mother firstly went to Plymbridge house and settled very quickly she called it home very quickly.
My Dad was not coping on his own and after spending time in hospital he decided he also wanted to join his wife at Plymbridge House
Amazing he is very happy and is enjoying his food and is very
settled
The staff have helped him to settle into the home environment.

Mum has been a resident in Plymbridge House for about six weeks and has settled in very well. The staff have gone to great lengths to bring her out of her shell and encourage her to join in the activities which she seems to enjoy. The cleanliness and standard of food are both first class. The staff
care is exemplary and nothing is too much trouble. When visiting they are more than happy to stop for a chat and keep me well informed on Mum's progress. I'm glad my Mum is in such good hands and would recommend Plymbridge House to anyone looking for a friendly caring home.

I wanted to write a further review for my dad, who lived at Plymbridge House, his home from home for the past 18 months, until he sadly passed last month. The end of life care the dedicated staff at Plymbridge gave to my dear dad was absolutely exceptional. He was tended to gently, and professionally
by all the wonderful carers who ensured his final days were pain free, dignified, and comfortable. We were able to be with dad freely, with no restrictions of time, and they also provided support to us as a family. We feel incredibly grateful that dad was in their kind care. If you are reading this review and contemplating your own, or a relatives move into Plymbridge, then I do not hesitate to recommend. Thank you Plymbridge, you are all angels.

Brambledown staff looked after our mum with such care and dignity, November she was end of life and we were so pleased she was back at Bramble Down after a long period in the hospital, everyone was brilliant, especially two ladies who went above and beyond to make her final days more cheerful for all
of us. The manager also played a big part as did nurses, everyone was so kind.

A fabulous nursing home who gave my mum excellent care. Mum moved to Bramble Down following an illness in April 2023, we had visited several care homes but felt Bramble Down was the right choice for her, her welcome on the first day and continued care over the following months saw her go from strength
to strength. The excellent food, and care she received gave us the opportunity to share many more special moments with her. The care team provide exceptional care with dignity and respect and whilst Mum did not always join in on many of the activities, still felt included and enjoyed trips out and about including some in Denbury. Our whole family always received a warm welcome.

My mum only arrived two months ago but has been treated with kindness and respect by everyone.
All the staff go above and beyond and the fact so many have worked there for so long really does speak volumes.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Plymbridge House to anyone looking for a well-run home with
friendly, cheerful, and caring staff.

My Mother-in-law moved in 3 weeks ago, and I have found the staff really kind. The care has been excellent.
The home is very clean. Senior staff are helpful and supportive.
And I would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for a care home.

My father has been at Plymbridge House for almost 5 years now. He originally entered the home for 2 weeks of respite as he was struggling on his own. At home he had visiting carers twice a day but was not coping at all well and at the time, it didn't seem he had much time left for this world.
Once
at Plymbridge House care home he was reluctant to leave, he felt secure, and had care available and company there. He has remained at Plymbridge ever since and remains in good health almost 5 years later due to the care and support he receives.
The carers, seniors, admin, and managers have always been approachable, helpful, sportive and professional. I can only thank all at the home for their support to my father and to myself.

My Mum has been in the home now for just over 2 years. She has settled in well due to the lovely staff who are kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are all amazing. Any issues I have had have been redressed very quickly.

Every staff member is always willing to offer assistance. They have a smile and caring attitude regardless of the situation.
I visit during a weekday and often there is work in progress to improve the safety or conditions for the residents, so the home looks welcoming. I also notice the range of activities
that are on offer to ensure there is plenty of opportunities to live life to the full.
I always feel my Mother is being given the best care.

My sister and I visited our aunt. She is looking well and enjoys the meals. She appears to be well cared for. The home is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Office staff have also been very helpful with any queries.

The most outstanding aspect of Plymbridge House is the staff. The senior carers are totally focused on the residents. The care assistants, I haven't met one yet who I wouldn't trust with my Mother. She has always been treated with kindness and respect. The staff are always cheerful despite the long
hours. I have no hesitation in recommending Plymbridge House to anyone's parents or relatives needing care.

The staff went above and beyond to meet her care needs and were very attentive in the last stage of her life which was very quick. Exceptional care on every level. Beautiful, quiet location and grounds. Rooms and facilities are comfortable, adjusted for the individual. Residents have access to a range of activities, depending on their interests and abilities. Caring staff are kind, warm, patient and cheery and gentle and respectful
to residents. My mum has lived at Bramble Down Nursing Home since January - and has been cared for so well.
Management of Bramble Down, nursing staff, carers, cooks and cleaners are passionate about keeping this as a wonderful place to live. I feel so welcome as a visitor, supported and part of this 'big family'. If only all of us could find such care late in life. Thank you all.

My view of Cornerways is a wonderful place. No matter what you ask of them, either management or care staff, nothing is too much trouble, always willing to help. My partner is putting on weight now and its all because of the caring and sharing things with me as I can be involved in his care. All I can
say is they approach you with a smile and a cup of tea, and my partner hasn't got any issues with it either. He loves the staff. My view overall it's a wonderful place to be if you have to be. Thank you Cornerways.

What a lovely afternoon tea at Plymbridge House! (15th September) my stepfather is a resident here.
