Wessex Care is a family-run group of care homes in Salisbury who look after vulnerable adults by offering a home in the real sense of the word.

The care and support provided means clients can lead everyday lives.

Residents have the choice of five friendly care homes in Salisbury, where individual care is tailored to the real and changing needs of each and every resident; care homes, nursing homes, residential care, elderly care or dementia and Alzheimer’s care are all offered. Wessex Care also provides domiciliary care with a dedicated team that work within the community.

All staff have been appropriately qualified, and the home's traditional family values are complemented by the best of modern care. Wessex Care work alongside the local authority to provide NHS funded intermediate and long term care provision, as well as looking after private residents and are a trusted care provider.

There is a wide-ranging programme of activities and events and the Wessex Care team holds regular meetings with residents and relatives. The care homes all have a dedicated welfare assistant to get to know each resident and provide planned activities to suit all needs.

My mother suffered from Alzheimer's and spent her last 11 months in Kimberly East. From day 1 the staff were excellent & dealt with my mother with care, compassion & sometimes humour. Our family were very satisfied with the care my mum received.

The staff here have always been friendly, caring and happy! The care my mum has received has been outstanding and all requests/communications have been acted upon speedily.
I especially want to thank you in how you handled the news and follow-up when Mum died last week. You were sensitive and kind
and I really felt like not only mum, but myself, was well looked after by you all.
I would highly recommend this nursing home and feel lucky that my mum got to spend her final months in your care.

Our Dad has been at Milford Manor for almost 4 years and he is so settled and contented, thanks to the incredible team who care for him. As the eldest of his three daughters who all adore him, we have also felt very cared for and supported by the Milford Manor team throughout the whole transition of
him moving there, after a long spell in hospital and brain injury rehabilitation. We're reassured every time we see him as it's clear that he's really well looked after, even down to the team's understanding of his foibles and personality.
You are all very special and SO appreciated.

Fabulous reception from staff & nothing was too much trouble, always a friendly staff available for any questions & my friend advised she doesn't know what she would have done without there full support & rehab therapy to enable her to go back home, which was her main goal. The place is so well kept
& clean, this is how all care should be delivered, amazing!

My mother enjoyed her time at Little Manor Care Home and all staff are friendly. Other then OT's and physio's who contacted me with updates on my mothers health I had no weekly updates on how she was progressing. She also ended up with very bad bed sores and became incontinent during her stay here.
With the right care I would have through she would have not had these sores. Sadly she is still incontinent too which could have been avoided.

For something I was not prepared for, initlaly I found everything depressing and daunting. My mum has now been up there for other a year now and the experience is easier slightly. The staff are very polite which helps. I have limited my visits to mainly 1 weekly visits instead of every other day which
again helps to deal with the satcetation. I did enjoy the summer party in the garden. Hopefully I will be present when the birds of prey are next booked.

On several visits to my dear friend, I've been so impressed and happy with everything about Little Manor: it's beautiful, the care, staff, warmth, decor and cleanliness. No one seemed rushed and we were always welcome with a smile. I have always worked in care homes and quite honestly this is the best.
My aunt was also with you in 2023 and we had the same experience. I would highly recommend. Thank you all.

Staff have been really amazing. Mum has been well looked after. We had a lovely tea party for Mum's 93rd birthday and they did all the food for us. She loved having the family there.

Overall the care my Mother received was excellent allowing her to recuperate and get better so she could go home.
However, the main concern she had and I also raised to the team was that her food was served cold, although on a hot plate.
Considering the cost of the stay she felt that it should be
at least hot as this constantly worried her. Bedsheets only change once in three weeks - her statement - I hope that this issue is resolved for future residents.

I am surprised to hear Mum felt the food was cold I will take this forward and discuss with the kitchen team so we appreciate you letting us know. Visited Mum today, she seemed quite good today; had her hair done and was making cakes earlier. The staff were all very good and were very busy.
One issue was with her lunch, she was given pasta with her mince. She doesn't like pasta and after previously speaking with a particular staff member a list
of foods that she prefers was given.

I have been very well looked after by all the staff. They are a credit to the company. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. The occupational therapist and physio have been giving me more confidence after my surgery and they have worked hard to me with recuperation.

I can't thank the Manager and all the staff at Kimberley East enough for their care and compassion towards my father who spent the last 6 months of his life being cared for with respect, dignity, and warmth.
It gave the family a sense of peace to know he was finally getting the care he deserved. During
his final hours, we were all well looked after and couldn't have asked for more.

The staff are exemplary - both towards my mother and myself. There is a genuine sense of care and respect for the residents and the staff go out of their way to create a family atmosphere. My mother moved in last November and each member of staff I have met has genuinely tried to engage on a personal
level with her, showing immense patience when she has difficulty forming words.
The structure from the top down seems to function incredibly smoothly and as a result, the staff have a sense of their own value.
The idea of putting ceiling hoists throughout the building is sheer genius and should be mandatory in any newly built care home. The staff are not stretched physically and the resident's transition from bed to chair is much less stressful. My mother now goes downstairs regularly whereas she used to spend hours on her own in her room.
