My 94 year old mother, who suffered from dementia, moved from a local Care Home to Neville Williams House in November 2024 as she needed more specialised care.Mum's lovely light room was always clean and tidy and overlooked the garden. She spent the last few months of her life supported by a wonderful
team of Carers and Nurses who coped heroically with her challenging behavior, always staying patient, kind and respectful to her.All the Staff and Managers there were so friendly and gave us lots of support and good advice. My family and I would highly recommend Neville Williams House to anyone looking for an excellent Nursing Home.

Our mum was a resident at Robert Harvey House for nearly 9 weeks before she departed us forever. During this period, she was cared for 24/7 by such a dedicated group of people with the utmost respect, dignity, love and care, which goes above and beyond their duty. An equal level of respect was extended
to all the family and visitors any time of day, infectious smiles, made us feel most welcome. Their statement in reception "Our residents do not live in our workspace, we work in their home" are not only mere words on a wall, but a profound living example. Our experience made us feel as if they had adopted our mum, and our mum adopted them as her daughters. On behalf of all family members, I would like to sincerely thank so much all the staff and look upon them as angels in disguise. This has left a lovely experience in all of our hearts and we will tap into it to fill a big void.

My sister has been a resident in Neville Williams House for 19 months. Her comments on the carers who look after her are, "Nothing is too much trouble for them.", " They are always polite and say please and thank you", "They want to do all they can to help me".
I, too, have always found the carers
cheerful, polite and helpful. I think they do a difficult job, and yet they have a caring and supportive attitude. They should be commended.

I have found the care home manager to be very helpful. Due to a financial error, we were being charged the wrong amount for Mum's 24-hour care. We had a series of meetings to rectify the shortfall and a helpful, considerate understanding was reached. I had complained that some of the food served seemed
like 'convenience' food. The manager took the trouble to show me that their food was made with fresh ingredients, even giving me a tour of their ambient fridge room.

My mother has been in Neville Williams House for 3 weeks now, she is very poorly and was transferred from hospital to this home.
I cannot praise them enough, as a nurse myself, I can be over-critical of healthcare, but the care they have provided is exceptional, they manage every aspect of care with
great care, respect and to a very high standard. The management of the home is excellent and the staff delivering the care are second to none.
As soon as she arrived she was allocated a named nurse, who has been really supportive to my brother and I and is really skilled at managing patients with end-stage dementia.
Both of my parents have been in a number of homes over the last few years, and my only regret is that we didn't find this home sooner.

My mum has vascular dementia for several years and has been at this home for 4 years. She has always said that she is happy. We had to take her off site for a dental appointment and on our return to the house, she became confused, not recognising where she was and unable to independently navigate to
the room, not recognising her room and became inconsolable. Various members of staff came to our aid, deploying their care, experience and empathy to distract Mum by taking her to a different room (their sensory room) and engaging her is a quiet activity. It was reassuring for me to witness my mum being cared for in this way.

Before Mother came to Anita Stone Court she had been in hospital for 2 months and was very poorly, subdued and not really very happy as you can imagine. Well, what a turnaround, after a few weeks in Anita Stone Court Mother started to show signs of her old self with her special personality and sense
of humour showing again. This is all to do with the way she has been cared for and the dedication given by all the staff members who are a credit to Anita Stone. Keep up the good work.

Mum has recently moved into Anita Stone Court and I am so glad we have come here. From the moment we arrived, we were fully involved with planning Mum's care. We were introduced immediately to her named nurse and her key worker and all the staff have made an effort to get to know Mum and understand
her needs and preferences. The manager and all of the team have been the epitome of kindness and seem to actively enjoy what they are doing making the environment a happy and warm place to be.
Mealtimes are made very sociable which is a bonus for Mum who doesn't like to eat alone and the food is excellent. The bistro where we can come and have a drink or snack as a family, together with Mum, is a real bonus.

Met with the General Manager to carry out a 6-month review of my Mother's stay.
I felt that the manager had a good level of awareness of Mom's challenging behaviour and was able to talk, in detail, about how this has changed over this period.
The manager struck me as being in tune with her role and
how that relates to residents, family, and team members alike.
Throughout the manager appeared to be highly motivated and enthusiastic about what she is responsible for.
I complimented her on the attention and care given to my Mother and, in particular, the positive culture that provides this.

Having spent the last 6-8 months looking for a care home to give my sister and her husband some respite from caring for our parents, we were getting pretty desperate. There is such little provision for couples, and we saw some swanky places where staff were so anxious and over-managed and frankly not
very kind to residents. Robert Harvey House was a godsend. Relaxed, kind and thorough, staff here take professional pride in their work, and residents are respected and looked after socially and psychologically as well as physically. Not only this, but you'll see how imaginatively the residents are cared for; there's a sweet shop with a freezer full of ice cream for residents to help themselves! It was the animals who really swung it as far as our parents were concerned though. Two sweet little goats, and a flock of concerned and sometimes obstreperous parrots engage with everyone on the same gentle and trusting terms. You can see how Robert Harvey House gained its CQC rating for efficacy.
