Everyone involved in my grandmother's care was absolutely wonderful - she couldn't have been in any better hands. The staff are endlessly patient and put so much time into making her experience (and ours!) enjoyable. I am so grateful for the care and attention they put in, from putting her paintings
up on the wall to getting her favourite yoghurts - you can tell how much they care about the residents just from being there. Eternally thankful for everyone there.

Both my in-laws are now residing at Roxholm Hall on a permanent basis.
The management and staff have gone out of their way to make this huge transition in their lives as positive as possible.
They have had a phone line installed in one of their rooms which has led to increased independence.
The staff
always ring us if there is the slightest issue which is very reassuring.

My Mother moved into Ridgeway a couple of years ago, a confused old lady. She was unable to stay in her own home any more. She had everything she needed at Ridgeway, a clean warm room, personal care, good food, and a cup of tea at whatever time she wanted. She was much happier.
I'd never seen her wear
nail varnish until she moved to Ridgeway. They brought out a talent for painting that we didn't know she had.
Thank you for making her last days comfortable and very peaceful. You were all so kind.

My mother moved into the Ridgeway in May 2023 and lived there until she passed away in February 2025. During her time living in the home we were extremely impressed by the kindness and compassion shown constantly by the staff. In her final few days the care shown by the staff to all the family was truly
wonderful and we will always be grateful for that.

Even though my mum has not been there for a great length of time she has settled in very well and seems very happy there. I cannot fault the friendlyness and compassion of the staff. It always looks spotlessly clean and very safe for the patients.

Whim Hall Care Centre

My mum has been a resident in Whim Hall since January 2023. I am pleased to say the standard of care my mum has received is excellent. The staff, including the manager, go above and beyond what's expected of them. I have personally experienced this. I got married last year and the manager assisted my
mum to my wedding on her day off.

I am very happy with Mum's care at The Pavilion. She is warm and secure and enjoys her time here. Whenever anything medical occurs it is dealt with as soon as possible and I am updated with progress of it. The staff are friendly and are helpful and will help if Mum asks.

Review of

Cathedral Care Centre

from P L (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

We had to place my mum in care last June - having experienced a dreadful care home in the past for my father, I was dreading it. However Cathedral Care Centre is not like any care home I've ever come across. Firstly mum's room is beautiful and large with a lovely big window - comfy armchair and TV provided.
The meals are amazing plus all the daily treats that come around. The activities have been carefully selected taking in account each residents hobbies and interests. My mum is crazy about Elvis - so they regularly have an Elvis impersonator come in and put on a show - to see my mum dancing and singing along is so heartwarming. Mum has her hair and nails done regularly- she is always clean and fresh and wearing all her own clothes (that wasn't the case where my dad was). The staff are so warm and friendly and nothing is too much to ask. Living in New Zealand, I get to see lots of posts on social media - my friend regularly visits mum and says she could move in herself!

Cathedral Care Centre

from S L (Son of Resident) published on 14 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Can't fault Cathedral Care Centre. My mum's quality of life has improved immeasurably since she moved there. The staff are all wonderful and can't do enough. Having experienced other Lincoln care homes with my dad, Cathedral is leaps and bounds superior.
Thank you to all the amazing staff that help
her have a safe and as normal a life as possible and enable her to retain her dignity. She's always clean, nicely dressed and other than the confusion dementia brings, she hasn't looked as well in years.

Reply from Samantha Pagram, Regional Manager at Cathedral Care Centre

Thank you for the lovely review. The whole team at Cathedral Care Centre will appreciate your very kind words. We take pride in the service we provide to the whole family, ensuring that those most precious in our care are well cared for, happy and enjoy special touches.

My mum has been in the Pavilion Care Centre in Buxton since May 2024. The staff have all been supportive in their efforts in looking after her. She is always clean and the food is good. Her dementia is such that she doesn't know where she is or how to get out of a room even. But the staff have been
wonderful. Well done Pavilion Care Centre.

Canwick Court Care Centre

from J M (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

Canwick Court Care Centre is homely, it doesn't feel clinical like a hospital, it isn't noisy and bustling, it is a calm environment. When you walk in, in many ways it is like a family home and you are greeted with a smile by all of the staff.
My mother is treated with respect, she is listened to and
the staff try hard to try and work out her needs.
We (the family) feel like we are part of the decision making and there is genuine of interested in her well being.

Review of

Bowburn Care Centre

from D U (Son of Resident) published on 30 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the incredible team at Bowburn Care Home for the exceptional care and compassion shown to our beloved dad during his 8-year stay with you. As a family, we were fortunate to witness firsthand the love and dedication that the four particular carers and
all the other staff involved with Dad, poured into their work every single day.
Throughout his journey with dementia, our dad was treated with dignity, patience, and an abundance of kindness that brought us immense comfort. It was clear that every interaction was filled with genuine care, and the relationships formed were truly special.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the care home manager, for her professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to providing outstanding care. Under her leadership, Bowburn Care Home has been a place of comfort, compassion, and excellence for our dad and many others.

Reply from Pauline Melville, Home Manager at Bowburn Care Centre

I would like to say thank you for this lovely review, your dad was a lovely gentleman, and it was our pleasure to look after him for as long as we did.

The Maple Care Home

from J M (Son of Resident) published on 28 January 2025

Dad's been in The Maple for about a month and so far we are extremely happy with the care he has had whilst being here. All the staff are friendly, courteous and respectful and Dad is always clean, smart, shaven etc. The home (post-refurbishment) is excellent, room standards are great. So all in all
a very good experience to date. Keep it up.
