Wonderful staff, always there when they are needed but also happy to come in for a chat and give my mum some company.
Room was excellent and any problems were addressed immediately.
Activity team always coming up with things to do, including days out for the residents.

Abercorn is exceptional. Dad moved from hospital, he required professional care. Within a few days, Dad looked so well and healthy. He was up, dressed, and able to talk and communicate. The ambience of Abercorn is so welcoming, the staff are amazing they go above and beyond, and the Nursing staff have
worked wonders to get Dad so well. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for Dad and continue to do so they are magnificent. The activities are inspirational Dad joins in and enjoys the company of the other Residents, it is amazing how well Dad has done in such a short time all thanks to Abercorn. Every single member of staff is part of a unique team who strives to ensure the happiness of the Residents and their needs are met. It is outstanding. The wonderful chefs are lovely with the delicious meals their presentation is like a hotel, magnificent. Everyone should have an Abercorn in their lives when they require care they are so kind and caring and just fabulous thanks for all you do.

Staff are very caring and respectful to every resident and they all work extremely hard. Dad has been a resident for approx 6 weeks and the family are kept fully updated on any concerns. All residents are treated with compassion, dignity and respect and their needs are looked after on an individual
basis which can be seen by the way the residents interact with the team at Forefaulds. The residents capable of joining in the activities seem to thoroughly enjoy themselves. Dad seems to be settling really well and developing a great relationship with all the care team

Very happy with the level of service. The office staff were extremely helpful during the initial setup for my parent. The nursing staff have been outstanding in caring for my mum. Regular updates on caring needs via phone calls by the nursing team are very reassuring.

My mum has been in Forefaulds for a few years now. I can sleep at night knowing she is well looked after and safe. The new management has totally turned the place round for the better. There is always plenty going on, activities are great, and the Manager and her team do a great job. All staff work

My Mum received respite care at Westwood House Care Home in October 2024. My family could not recommend this Care Home highly enough. The staff are cheerful, respectful, helpful and attentive. The room allocated to my Mum was spacious and homely. The food was plentiful and delicious.The staff made my
family feel welcome and took my Mum's needs into account and provided support for her to go to day care. The manager and her team are wonderful! A special mention to one staff member in particular who plans fun activities and entertainment that everyone enjoys. Thanks!

The care provided to my relative is clear to see. Every member of staff knows their name, interacts with them and seems to have a relationship with them, and are happy to engage in conversation with each encounter. The activities are significantly improved and driven by the activity lead who is enthusiastic,
inclusive, and compassionate. There is a clear desire to have meaningful activities for the residents. The volunteering programme now established brings focus and purpose to the residents.
There has been a consistency of staff for some time now that brings stability and improved care. Well done to all.

Always delighted at how well looked after my mother-in-law is. Clean fresh and most importantly staff caring and helpful. Gives us peace of mind knowing my mother-in-law is well looked after. Food good quality, lots of activities and make us feel welcome when we visit.

I was at the summer craft fare, it was a great day. All staff, residents and families had a great day, the tombola, raffles, bbq, the sun was shining, great day all round. The staff were very helpful and made sure everyone was looked after. The home baking was lovely.

Mum has been a resident since October 2024. Since day one I have been pleased to see all the staff being friendly and caring towards Mum and the other residents. I was pleased to discover the home had its own social media page enabling family and friends to witness the many activities their loved ones
can join in. This also helps keep me informed of special dates when I am invited to join in the fun. Well done to the team organising events. Thanks to everyone who helps care for Mum and also greets us with a warm welcome when we visit.

My dad has now been resident here since November 2023. I must take the time to give one staff member in particular a mention. She is the best when it comes to entertaining the residents and ensuring they all have a fantastic time. We are always made to feel very welcome at all times. My dad is much
happier being there and at times he can be difficult but even though he struggles with his memory the staff are patient and understanding. There is always a great atmosphere and all residents are free to wonder whilst great care is being maintained.

My family experiences of my father having to move into care was a quick and unexpected making the situation very difficult and unsettling for my father, but the staff have helped in a number of different way not only making this transition easier helping my father settle and get more comfortable in
his new soundings and lifestyle but also assisting us as the family with dealing with this process.

My sister moved into Abercorn House on the 26th of November 2024. she had spent 15 weeks in hospital, not allowed out of bed. The staff now walk her with help to the toilet, dining room, she sits in the dining room and feeds herself. She has been to the pantomime, has been shopping. I am allowed to
take her to church and to her hairdresser. It is the best she has been for years.

My Uncle was admitted into Westwood Care Home in November 2023 until he passed away at the end of October 2024. He settled in fairly quickly. The staff are excellent and took great care of him whilst he was there. There are lots of activities for the residents, every time I visited my uncle there was
singing and laughter. Westwood is spotless and my uncle's room and en-suite were maintained to a high standard. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and attention they gave him. Staff informed myself of any appointments that my Uncle had to attend and escorted him to them (when I could not).

Putting my husband into care because of advanced dementia was a very traumatic time for our family and me. My only contact with residential care was many years ago, visiting an elderly neighbour in a home. However, my fears were groundless. From the beginning, he was treated with kindness, dignity,
patience and good humour. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. They do a job which I could never do. Abercorn House is clean, very warm and comfortable and the food looks appetising and nutritious. Dementia is a terrible affliction, however, I know that my husband is getting the best of care.

I was my friend's primary carer for decades. She has a progressive neurological condition and unfortunately, it became very difficult to care for her at home. This was compounded by a dire lack of community care and myself becoming ill. However, after a month in temporary care, she was accepted and
transferred to her permanent placement in Abercorn House. She receives high-quality care and prompt medical attention as required. The manager, assistant manager and all staff present as being kind and approachable.
The care home has a very pleasant atmosphere. My experience with staff has been extremely positive. They present as being friendly, helpful and competent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Abercorn House to others.

My aunt went straight from the hospital to Abercorn House Care Home and was very well looked after from the start she has settled in very well and enjoys going on outings as she wasn't able to do this at home. I live down south and I phone every 2 days to talk to my aunt and have never had any issues.
The staff are lovely and friendly and my aunt likes to have a laugh with them. Overall I am very pleased with the care my aunt gets and when I visit it has a homely feel.
