After my uncle was diagnosed with a brain tumour in November 2024 it was advised that he should go into a care home facility. Anville Court couldn't have been more caring and treated him with care and the dignity he deserved. Held his hand when he felt low and frightened and were always there to listen
to his needs, can't recommend Anville Court enough. A massive thank you to all the staff.

All the receptiom staff are polite, friendly and very helpful.
The carers and nurses do a great job showing kindness and respect to the residents even in very challenging situations.
My husband can be difficult and resist personal care but the staff on the whole will keep trying different things
to coax him so that he is clean and tidy. The food is an excellent choice and everybody works well together for the benefit of the residents.

The care given to Mum is second to none. All the staff are amazing. The way they treat not only Mum by us as a family is lovely.
We feel part of a family and are treated as part of one big family at Westfield. We are welcomed with open arms as family. The atmosphere in the home is one filled with laughter.
There is always some activity or entertainment happening. They have given Mum a new lease of life and we are 100% certain that without them Mum wouldn't be here.

When I visit my dad at Haresbrook it is a happy experience for me. It's hard enough that my dad has complex dementia but the staff at Haresbrook and the loving atmosphere that they all provide makes me more relaxed when I visit. Dad is always happy and he is always clean and well cared for. As he deteriorates
I don't need to worry as everyone who cares for my dad truly cares and it really is a wonderful place for him to be living in - thank you all at Haresbrook!

Dad arrived at Chesford Grange at the end of 2023. I can't thank the carers/nurses enough for all they do. Nobody wants their loved one to have to go into care but I feel so relieved dad is being well looked after. They go above and beyond what is required so that residents feel more at home. There
is such a lovely atmosphere when you walk in. Thank you to all.

My husband had dementia and was in end of life care, he was treated with respect and great kindness even when he threw things, they were great with him, and tried to give him the best life he could have in the time he was with them. Their kindness was also extended to me and my family, on his death
they were so good to us and explained what had to happen next. My husband had an aneurysm which burst.

Worst care home ever. Staff tell lies to cover stuff up, had CQC involved multiple times. Rooms are not clean with coffee stains left for weeks. My mum left dirty on numerous occasions very little interaction from care assistants. Management don't want to listen either, never taking onus for their poor
lack of care and lack of ability to be honest and upfront. Avoid at all costs, we don't have a choice to move mum now with her dementia but you have a choice where your relatives are treated with compassion and care, this is not the place.

Reply from Trish McCaffrey, Home Manager at Chesford Grange Care Home

As the new Manager here at Chesford Grange, I offer you my sincere apologies for the experience you describe. Whilst I cannot change the past, I can make a difference today and offer assurances about tomorrow and the weeks ahead in terms of ensuring that we work together to provide the best care for your mum in a clean and comfortable environment. I know from speaking with you yesterday that you are willing to give me the opportunity to address any outstanding issues and for that I am genuinely grateful.

The home is spotlessly clean and always smelled fresh. Mum had her own spacious ensuite room, with a view onto the side garden with access through a patio door, ideal as she was mainly bedbound she was regularly taken to the tv/dayrooms to join in activities /entertainer. There is ample furniture for
clothes and belongings which are washed regularly and put away The cleaning ladies do an excellent job of keeping it spotless, the care staff are attentive and interactive with the residents, The home has a variety of entertainment, which residents can go and see/join in if they want. The entertainment team are great at what they do ensuring that no one is left out. Highly trained nursing staff have a wonderful caring side and are at hand anytime day/night. The admin/ management make you feel part of the family the minute you walk in. Mum passed away at the end of January. I can honestly say we couldn't have wished for a more caring group of people to have around us at that time.

Since my mum has been a resident at Westfield Lodge Care Home her quality of life has immensely improved! I feel this is down to all the staff including the amazing manager, office staff, nursing staff, the actual care staff, activity staff, cleaning, housekeeping staff and the quality of food is 'outstanding'
due to all the kitchen staff, the maintenance guy is always on hand. All of these wonderful people have made me and my family a part of the Westfield family, which has made a great home for my mum's continuing care and put a huge smile on her face - A huge thank you to all.

When our mum could no longer safely live on her own at home looking for a suitable care was a minefield, we finally settled on Westfield Lodge as we agreed that this seemed the one. We couldn't be more happier with the care that our mum receives 24/7, we can relax when not with her as we know that she's
getting all the care and attention that she needs. As well as being excellent carers for the residents they have also become our friends who we visit just as much as our mum. Westfield don't just provide care but they also keep the residents and families entertained on visits everyday, with the resident activity coordinator providing fun, games and booking visiting singers and entertainers etc. We couldn't have wished for a better place to call home for our mum who has gained more friends than ever and we have to. No one wants to see their family members go into a nursing home but Westfield Lodge makes it all that much easier. The staff at Westfield lodge are worth their weight in gold.

My thought on Westfield Lodge is excellent service, very friendly, outgoing staff, nothing too much trouble if you ask for anything, the food is excellent, and the place is spotlessly clean. The home is run by a friendly, hardworking person who is dedicated to her job. My mum is very happy in there,
