Beech House Nursing Home

from Kathreen M (Daughter of Resident) published on 13 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum was at Beech House from September 2024 until she sadly passed away in December 2025
During her time at Beech she was treated with the utmost dignity and respect, the team at Beech filled her time with love, laughter and non stop support. I knew from day one that i had made the right decision
in placing mum at Beech House. She loved spending time in the beautiful gardens, she would while away the hours enjoying the views and pottering around the flower beds as this was something she loved to do at home.
When mum became poorly the level of care, love & support was amazing....nothing was too much trouble...they were there for her constantly ensuring she had the best level of care right up until the end. Her end of life care plan was exactly how she would have wanted it, she was kept comfortable, monitored constantly and was in no pain and it was all done in a very private and dignified manner.
Thank you Beech

My mum and dad have moved into Hatton Court nursing home last week. Both are very happy. They have seen more of each other since they have been in the nursing home, than they saw of each other in the own home over the last 6 months. As for me and the rest of the family we are more relaxed because we
know that they are being well looked after and that's all we wanted for hem.

Lawn Park Care Home

from Louisa B (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

The staff are in general very good.
Our dad's room however was a disgrace in terms of how dated it is, especially for nearly ÂŁ5000/mnth, no one should have to live in this. If we could have moved him we would but this was the only nursing home he could get in.
Despite the cleaning staff's best efforts,
it was grim and thoroughly depressing for him to be in and us to look at him in.
The end of life care was very good and we are grateful to all the staff who assisted in this.
The management and office staff have also been very good.

My father-in-law was in Lawn Park from February 2024 until his death in December. He was not an easy man to deal with, but the staff cared for him with grace, kindness and empathy along with their superb nursing skills. They looked after us as well during sometimes stressful visits. We could not recommend
this home more highly, it is well-run, efficient and most of all caring and loving.

Windy Knowe Nursing Home

from Christine R (Daughter of Resident) published on 31 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Windy Knowe is a beautiful home, beautiful gardens as well as staff. All of the staff are 100% passionate, a smile always on their face (happy). Very thorough, kind, caring, nothing a problem. Lots of stimulation with residents, activities, ponies, dog visits, excellent. Amazing communication with families.
Could not ask for more. Food excellent, cleanliness excellent and care exceptional. Thank you, you're all the best ever, genuine and true stars.

Care of my mother is overall good. She is well cared for and her needs are met, the events planner/coordinator is excellent and provides much needed stimulation to residents. The food provided is varied and of a very high standard. Well done team!

My mother has been at Canal View for two years now. The care given to her has been very good. She is loved, safe and well cared for. The whole team from cleaners, catering, carers and management all show dedication, love and work to a high standard. My mother has been on end of life care for 4 months
now. This care my mum has received now extends to supporting myself. I cannot thank the team enough, their excellent.

Brockhampton Court Care Home

from H M (Friend of Resident) published on 28 January 2025

Wonderful nursing home. My friend has been living here for a year and you get the warmest welcome from the team on every visit. A new era under new management but no complaints whatsoever. Managers are visible and have always got time to talk. My friend has access to lovely grounds, is happy and feels
safe. Bedroom is a good size, clean and comfortable.

The Cedars Nursing Home

from L B (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My father moved to The Cedars for palliative care and was there for 33 days. Having a terminal diagnosis was initially hard for Dad to deal with and at times this showed in his behaviour. The calm atmosphere at The Cedars allowed Dad to reflect and come to terms with his situation. It was such a relief
to the family that he had that opportunity to have all his needs met and be in a peaceful environment before he passed away at the start of this year. The staff were so kind to Dad, arranged so much supportive care and kept us informed about everything. They were also lovely after Dad had passed away - which helped a lot. Extremely thankful that The Cedars were there when we needed them, thank you to everyone involved in his care.

Hinstock Manor Care Home

from P K (Daughter of Resident) published on 27 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

At the age of 95, registered blind, hard of hearing and very frail, Mum could no longer remain in her own home and moved into Hinstock Manor Care Home. She had a lovely, large bedroom with ensuite facilities and was encouraged to personalise it with items that were important to her. The staff were very
caring, compassionate, attentive and friendly and did everything they could to ensure Mum was well looked after. Sadly, Mum passed away recently, but I would like to thank everyone at Hinstock Manor, including the lovely reception staff, the carers and the management team for everything they did for her during the 14 months she was with them.

Hinstock Manor Care Home

from Kieran P (Grandson of Resident) published on 27 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Grandad was admitted to Hinstock Manor Care Home in May 2024 after a spell in hospital.
Throughout his time there he had many laughs with the staff and was looked after at a very high standard.
During his end of life pathway the staff treated him with respect and dignity and made it as comfortable
as possible. I want to give a special mention to four members of staff in particular for going up and beyond.
This care home has changed the way I looked at care homes and actually couldn't recommend it any more. Thanks.

The Cedars Nursing Home

from Kiaran A (Son of Resident) published on 24 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I shall always remember the care and kindness that my mother received in her final months. It brought us all happiness and made her passing that much easier to bear. She had a lovely big room with beautiful views of the countryside, a place of peace at a difficult time. She was loved and treated with
dignity and respect, as were we, a huge relief to us. Nothing was too much trouble, and we knew that she was safe and cared for. Heartfelt thanks to all at The Cedars.
