I was kept well informed of my aunt's care and the staff were also considerate to myself at a hard time.
I've never written a review before so you can tell I am pleased with the care that my aunt got.

She had a decent end of life in the home and the staff where very caring and attentive.
It has a very good standard of care and the facilities are decent.
Note, as all rooms are all on one floor, the staff don't have to split up to cover multiple floors which again adds to there being lots of staff and carers around. Would recommend this particular home for Dementia care.

A new Home Manager has recently been appointed who has an open-door policy. is a good care home. However, over the last year there have been concerning quality issues mainly by short-term (or agency) employees. This resulted in a large turnover of managers/staff which is unsettling to residents. The
That said there have been many positive changes in 2023, including investment in improving facilities (particularly safety) with communal areas refurbished and decorated. The food is generally, appealing nutritious and appetising with many years of a 5-star food hygiene rating. Some efforts have been made to vary the menu, but this is not always easy to implement.
Many of the experienced staff are an absolute credit to the establishment being cheerful, professional and caring despite a difficult few years.
Here's hoping Parkhill overcomes the issues and returns to excellent standards we all want in 2024.
