My dad was in a bad way when I put him into the care home. He has lots of problems along with his dementia. The care he has received is amazing; he looks like a different man. He is clean, loves his food, takes part in lots of activities, and most importantly, he is very happy. The staff are amazing
with him, and I am so happy I chose this care home for him. Very hard-working friendly staff who have time for you as well.

I am really happy with the care my husband has received since he moved in. All the staff are lovely and caring. There are lots of activities going on which is so important, and being taken to outside venues. The staff also keep me updated every time I visit on his wellbeing which is lovely.

Woodlands has a homely feel with staff who are extremely kind and competent. The staff and management display excellent communication skills and always quick to inform me of any issues. They are also good at involving other professionals when required.

The care home is reasonably good and provides good care although they can get very busy and short staffed at times.
Staff are friendly and approachable. The activities are satisfactory although funds can be low.
Food and drinks provided is very good.
Cleanliness is satisfactory but with more funding,
carpets in the bedroom can be kept clean as my brother can be incontinent at times.
Overall I am happy with the care home and the care provided.

My mother in law settled very comfortably. She has dementia and is slow and anxious coping with change but she now considers the staff to be friends, like one big family. She potters about, helping with jobs (of her own initiative) because she has always been used to being very busy (she still is).
She loves being there and is quite a character. My family and I are always welcome at any time of day/night.
Reply from Tracy Freeman, Owner at Orchid WoodlandsThank you, Hayley, for such a lovely review, you have captured everything that we try hard to achieve. Our families are very important to us in creating a warm and homely environment and contribute a great deal to the well being of our loved ones.

Mum was only at the home for a few months before she sadly passed away. She was well cared for and always treated with the utmost respect. I was so pleased that she had a clean, efficient, compassionate, caring home for the last few months of her life. The home is extremely well run, the carers are
totally dedicated and try at all times to involve all residents in activities specially tailored to their individual needs. Issues regarding Mum's care were promptly brought to my attention and we were consulted at every stage with regard to Mum's care. I was particularly impressed with Mum's palliative care in the final day/hours of her life and cannot thank all the staff enough.

My brother has lived in Woodlands Residential Home for well over 12 months now and the care he has received has been excellent. All the staff have taken the time to get to know him and as a result, he has settled in very well.
The home itself has a calm and peaceful atmosphere and is spotlessly clean
and tidy whenever I visit. All the residents look very well cared for and content and it's obvious to anyone visiting that the staff really do care. It's so important to have peace of mind when a relative has to move into a residential home and I have not had one concern the whole time my brother has been there. This is because the staff are so dedicated. Thank you so much.
