I cannot thank the staff enough at Prestwood Lodge for their kindness and understanding. My mum had been living with myself and my husband. My daughter wanted us to have a break and after meeting a member of staff and viewing the home we booked mum in for respite after xmas. She is now living there
permanently. I was feeling quite worried and apprehensive about leaving my 102 year old mum but the staff made us feel very welcome and couldn't have been more helpful. All the staff smile, speak, wave and in my opinion they are all angels, nothing is too much trouble. My mum couldn't be more looked after if she was royalty. Their 40th anniversary celebration was a joy to see. The care they give us is outstanding! I would have no hesitation in recommending Prestwood L to anyone who is unsure about leaving their loved one.

I had 1 week respite at Prestwood Coach House. Prior to the respite, the staff carried out a full assessment to check out what help I would need. They also checked out any preferences that I had and answered any queries. I had excellent care throughout my stay. The staff were very thoughtful and approachable.
I always felt comfortable with staff helping me with personal care. Food was very good and there was always a sufficient amount and a good choice. Visitors were also made very welcome. I had a very comfortable bedroom, with sufficient space to move around in my powered wheelchair. It was easy to speak to a senior staff member if needed.

My mother-in-law became ill and immobile during covid. We moved her from a home in the West Mids to Prestwood Coach House because we liked the feel of the home and the level of care and calmness that the home seemed to offer compared to her previous residence. She spent the final years of her life there
and although she would always have preferred to be in her own home, this was a place that was fitting for her personality and health requirements. She ate like a queen, she always praised the food and the care that she received. There were plenty of activities for her but she was a more private person and preferred her room which was always comfortable and warm. When we couldn't visit her, the staff were happy to video call and she was jollied along as much as possible so she never felt lonely. We are very grateful to all the staff at Prestwood for making our mum's final years safe and comfortable.

After my mum broke her wrist, she wanted to try a home. We chose Prestwood Lodge. We were very impressed with the home, the surroundings were beautiful, very clean and comfortable. Mum was most impressed with the food. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend
Prestwood Lodge.

Our Mom was a resident at Prestwood Coach House for 14 months, during her stay she had excellent care from experienced and diligent carers.
As her condition declined, the home responded to her changing needs, it was a great comfort to us that Mom was being well cared for throughout this period.
In
terms of care packages, we don't think you will get much better than Prestwood Coach House, it was first class in all departments.

My mother was only at Prestwood Coach House Care home for 6 days. She had been discharged from hospital and could not go home. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The home is in a lovely country setting. Mom loved looking out the windows to see the birds and trees changing colour. There is an open
house policy which meant I could turn up at any time night or day. All Staff were super friendly and very helpful. The home is well-equipped and very clean. Mom had difficulty eating and the chef made a special effort to cook food which she could manage. Nothing was too much trouble. Mom loved her stay and was very settled. Sadly her health took a turn for the worse and she was readmitted to hospital. (No fault of the home).

At 97 how do you visit friends and family back in the UK over Christmas when your needs include wheelchair access, 24-hour on-call care, and some home-from-home comforts? My mother was up for the journey if the right accommodation could be arranged so I turned to Prestwood Care to see what they could
do. The result was a really comfortable, safe and supportive package of room, care staff and service extras that made Mother's visit a real pleasure for her, for myself and my sister and for the old friends and ex-neighbours that Mum was able to invite to visit her during her stay at Prestwood Coach House. The manager and director's team delivered everything we needed and went the extra mile to facilitate those special touches. A big, big thank you. Note: Mother has provided the following ratings herself and has downgraded facilities only because the door to her room was a little awkward and heavy for her solo use in her wheelchair.

My Uncle went to The Coach House for step down following a long hospital stay. From day one he was treated with dignity, respect and love from all the team. It is an 'open house' at the Coach House, every time I visited I was welcomed with a smile, be it the maintenance man, a carer or the manager.
My Uncle was more than happy with the care he received, despite him at times being in pain and shouting, he was always treated kindly. The food always looked very appetising, all areas spotlessly clean and communication always spot on. He was only with you for 2 weeks but a heartfelt thank you to you all.

My mother was a resident of both Prestwood House, and then Prestwood Coach House, for the last 6 years of her life. The care she received was excellent. The carers were kind, patient and treated her with dignity throughout her time living there. They gently encouraged her to join in activities and took
an interest in her own hobbies and pastimes. During her last couple of months, they were particularly compassionate and considerate, both to Mom and myself and other family. Her end of life (aged 88) was made as comfortable and peaceful, as it could be, and for that, I am forever indebted. The facilities, food and management of the home were also all very good. Although if her health had permitted, Mom would not have chosen to live her last years in a Nursing Home, she was extremely comfortable, well cared for, and safe. She was extremely fond of the staff, as was I. The Coach House felt like a 'home', rather than a Nursing Care Home and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Mum came to Prestwood for 2 weeks of respite.
After only one week she told us she was “100% certain” that she wanted to stay!
That really says it all.
Every single member of staff helped us with this very emotional time in our lives and made Mum feel completely at home.
Mum continues to love her
new life at Prestwood and has settled completely into her new home.
We can’t thank them enough.

My father was cared for with respect and dignity. The staff were professional, friendly and supportive. The staff were cheerful and took time to sit down and chat with my dad, someone was always popping their head in the door to check if he needed anything. His room was always very clean, as was the
whole home. There were activities planned all the time, the staff made a real fuss of my dad on his birthday it was very touching.

My mother received excellent care throughout the five years that she lived in Prestwood, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering residential care. The care provided is outstanding, and the staff are professional, kind and caring. All members of the team go above and beyond what is expected
to provide the very best care for the residents. The surroundings are luxurious, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. There is a wide variety of daily activities and entertainment for the residents. There is a varied daily menu which should tempt every palate.
I found the staff to be loving and very supportive of my mother (and my family) as her needs changed. They did their very best to care for her for as long as possible, and I will always be very grateful for that.

My aunt, who is 101 years old, is now a permanent resident. Communication with the care home is excellent. We are kept fully informed and included in her life at Prestwood. She enjoys the food, the care, the company and the activities programme. We are always made very welcome and enjoy visiting her
in this warm and friendly environment. We would have no hesitation in recommending Prestwood to anyone who was considering a care home placement.

Mom had a couple of months in respite care at Prestwood Lodge in early 2018. When Mom needed a permanent care home a couple of years later we were delighted that she was able to return to Prestwood. Many, if not most of the staff were the same, which provided Mom and us as a family with reassurance.
The
rooms were lovely, the activities team proactive, there were no rigid timetables, residents could join in with whatever they wished, go to bed whenever they wished, and visitors could pop in anytime. The care and attention that mom received from the care team were admirable. They encouraged mom to knit again, to sing again it was always personal for my mom.
Sadly Mom passed away in May 2023, at where Mom truly considered her home, Prestwood. The team were incredible. The compassion they showed and the care they gave could not have been bettered. I am so glad Mom was able to spend her final years at Prestwood.

Prestwood Lodge has welcomed mum and her family from day one. All staff we have met are friendly, respectful, caring, kind and have time for mum and time to chat with the family ensuring all needs continue to be met. The transition to a care home has been stressful and emotional but the team at Prestwood
have helped to reduce the anxiety.
The rooms are spotless, the menu provides a nutritious selection and portions are generous.

The individual en-suite rooms are beautiful, including the views. Residents aren't pressured into joining activities, mum can choose what she wishes to join in with and can still enjoy having her hair, feet and nails done by visiting professionals. Thank you to the whole team, for working to run and maintain a quality home whilst keeping mom safe, healthy and comfy.

I selected Prestwood Lodge as a final home for my mother. It proved to be an excellent choice as the manager and all staff were indeed wonderful. The cleanliness, facilities and general care given here were the best that I could wish for and believe me my mother wasn't easy to please. Everyone there
was patient and nothing was too much trouble. Prior to finding this home, I had looked at many care homes and my mother had spent 2 months in a very expensive so-called luxurious home but Prestwood proved so much better all around. If you are reading this and wondering should I try for your relative, don't hesitate, it is a superb home from home establishment.

Mum loved living here and made many friends. She especially enjoyed the activities: quizzes, crafts, chair exercises, parties, trips out for fish and chips and ice cream, pickling onions, barbecues, visits from singers and local school children etc! The staff became her good friends and there was always
lots of fun and laughter. The food at Prestwood Lodge is delicious and when we were out Mum would check her watch because she didn’t want to miss dinner. In the summer the residents can choose to sit outside under large parasols. There isn’t a bedtime. There’s no, ‘it’s 8.30 let’s get everyone to bed.’ Each resident chooses when they wish to go to bed and a couple will sit up late sipping a sherry. Wonderful! I recommend Prestwood Lodge without hesitation.

My Grandmother came here for respite October 2019 for a couple of days following a fall. On collection my Nan has enjoyed her stay so much she asked if she could stay longer. My Nan feels very safe, extremely friendly staff, fantastic food and great facilities. My Nan was never fond of care homes but
this is exceptional. We as a family have complete peace of mind and reassurance she is receiving the best possible care. Can’t praise the staff enough. Many thanks, your help and support are very much appreciated.

My mother-in-law has been a resident for almost a year. She is 102 years old.
We have found the care home excellent.
Earlier this year she fell whilst out and broke her hip.
After two weeks in hospital she was discharged. We were quite worried as her condition was not that good.
But after a
couple of days, she was getting about fine with her frame. All down to the excellent work by the staff.
