My mum is very happy in the home , the staff are lovely and always very willing , The refurbishment of the home is very good making it very homely , the activities are good when I went in the other day they were having a singalong session , which mum had enjoyed
Reply from Yvonne Dawson, Home Manager at Queen's Court

Thank you so much for the review. Mum is lovely, staff adore her and enjoy her company, as she like a little chat with them. Mum, although quiet, is sociable and enjoys being in the lounge with the other residents. Thank you for mentioning the recent refurbishment, we are very happy with all the work that has been done, its certainly brightened the home.

My dad has been living at Queen's Court for a few months now and he has really settled in well. From the start, the staff have been kind, patient, and welcoming, which made a huge difference to him (and to us as a family).
He feels comfortable and safe, and we've noticed a real improvement in his mood
since moving here. The team always take the time to chat with him, encourage him to join in with activities, and make sure his needs are met with care and respect.
It's reassuring to know that he is in such good hands, and we couldn't be happier with the level of support he receives. We're very grateful to everyone at Queen's Court for creating such a positive environment.

Thank you for the lovely words, which have been shared with staff. Dad likes to keep independent but also likes to know that there are always staff around when needed. He likes to sit and chat and has made friends with other people who live close by. Dad settled really quickly, as he made the positive choice to move into Queens Court himself.

My mother has lived at Queens Court now for over 2 years and is never on her own and feels safe and very well cared for. Staff are so kind and caring and as a family we are very grateful for the care that they provide for mum. I am always kept updated as things happen and can't really ask for anything
better.

Your mum is an absolute sweetheart, always happy to see staff and visitors. Mum sits and watches the world go on around her, then will decide to make her way to the day centre for a different change of scene. A kind, gentle lady with such a welcoming smile, adored by us all.

Dad has been a resident at Queens Court for a short while now.
We are so thankful for all the help and assistance we needed at the time of those first few days.
You have a wonderful team at Queens Court, their hard work and dedication is so appreciated by us as a family and more importantly to Dad.
The new furnishings are nice and welcoming, love the curtains too.
Reply from Yvonne Dawson, Home Manager at Queen's Court

Your dad is a pleasure to support. Very much a quiet man who likes his own space, so needs a little encouragement to join in with the others. The new furniture and furnishing has definitely lifted the home, glad to hear you like them.

Generally very good. It's clean, carers are lovely, atmosphere very warm and friendly, but recently there has been a problem with the provision of food. Menus are issued, but the food provided isn't what is on them. One evening all that was offered was a toasted tea cake! I know they have had difficulty
employing a new chef and I'm sure everyone is doing their best to cover the position, but nutrition is an important factor in maintaining good health and this should be a priority.
Reply from Yvonne Dawson, Home Manager at Queen's Court

Thank you for writing a review. We discussed the difficulties we are having with recruiting chefs, at the recent families meeting. I'm sorry the food provided hasn't always been at the standard we would expect. We have now recruited to one of the vacant positions and will soon be moving over to our new winter menu. I know that your dad often prefers a sandwich for tea. There is always the provisions available for staff to make him one, if he tells them that is what he would like.

I have absolute confidence in the quality of care provided by and the professionalism of the staff at Queen's Court. The atmosphere is always calm, friendly and positive and I feel the carers know my mother and her needs intimately, always respecting her dignity. A couple of the carers in particular
always go above and beyond and Mum has developed a close bond with them, which palpably enhances her quality of life.
I am kept informed of any changes in my mother's condition and the overall level of communication is very good. I also appreciate the fact that I can visit at any time and can take Mum out for the day without any fuss.
Overall, the carers at Queen's Court have given me peace of mind - I know that Mum is in the best place and in the best hands.
Reply from Yvonne Dawson, Home Manager at Queen's Court

Thank you, your review is very much appreciated. Mum, as you know, is a quiet lady who enjoys her own company. She does, however, love going out with you for the day. I know that she has a lovely relationship with both the carers and senior, who all know her very well.

Words fail me in my admiration for all the staff at Queens Court. My mother has been looked after by them for over six years during which her Alzheimers has taken full hold. But this isn't a care home that does the minimum for someone who lives in a different world. The team exudes love and compassion
for her and the other residents. Mum is so well cared for, is kept safe, and is treated with the utmost dignity. Despite mum not knowing who I am or where she is, she is happy, healthy and loved. And that is entirely attributable to the Queens Court team at every level and in every role. They are my heroes.
Reply from Yvonne Dawson, Home Manager at Queen's Court

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. Mum is an absolute pleasure to support, she is so lovely natured and enjoys the company of others. She also enjoys the odd singalong when staff play music from her Scottish heritage. Mum may have memory loss but the words still come when the old tunes are played. She very much enjoys time with our music therapist, and our chaplain.

I am most impressed by the safe atmosphere and gentle care shown by staff towards residents. I see my mother's anxiety soothed and her dignity respected at all times. Her room is clean, comfortable and attractive and the communal areas are also pleasant and well serviced. Thank you for providing such

I have given Queen's Court excellent on all counts - they are undergoing extensive renovations - hence 'good' for rooms at the moment. My mother is very well cared for - she is 104 years old - poor eyesight and hearing and memory problems. The activities have been hard to organise recently but she usually
attends the day centre sessions.
Reply from Yvonne Dawson, Home Manager at Queen's Court

Your mum may be 104, but she knows what she wants to do and when, she joins in different activities as long as they don't interfere with her afternoon nap. Mum is truly a pleasure to support.

My mother has been a resident in Queens Court since 2017 and we have had nothing but praise for the way she has been cared for since the day she arrived. She always seems happy when we go to see her and we know they take special care of dietary needs and pay great attention if there is any weight loss.

Queens Court is a well-run care home. The care staff are very good. They are welcoming and care for the residents very well. They know each resident's personality and what they need. There are almost daily activities and my mum is even going on a holiday to Skegness on the 16th of September.
I would
recommend this care home for anyone's loved one.

My mum has gone from strength to strength in Queens Court, she looks so well compared to how she was.
The care she receives is to a very good standard and I also have a great relationship with the carers which is excellent.
My mum is very fussy with her food and I feel the staff do go that extra mile,
to try and entice her to eat.
Overall we are very happy with Queens Court and my mum is very content there.

The room that has been provided is very pleasant with good en-suite and it is a light space with windows and fresh air and nice courtyard beyond. Personal belongings are safe in the room now that a key has been provided this also endures privacy. Dementia care staff are friendly especially the more
permanent staff and they always appear caring and reassuring during visits. There are regular meals and snacks tea and coffee provided. There are excellent activity staff who have recently provided walks in the village several times a week on a one to one basis. Recently they have also organised a trip out to the a local museum. The delivery of medication appears to be efficient. As a relative, I am confident that my relative is safe at Queen's Court, at times there are complicated issues to sort out for my relative and staff do find the time to listen and where possible make the changes I suggest.

Very caring staff genuinely have residents at heart.
Lovely neighbourly feel to Queens Court as everyone is very friendly and greets all who come in to visit etc.
Quality and consistency of food is a problem.
I have broached this issue many times with no resolution.

Thank you for the review, I know Dad says about meals being too big or not to his taste, often saying he would prefer a jacket potato. Our hospitality manager has also spent time with him to try and find out how we can help. Families are always welcome to book a meal here too, so they can experience our menus themselves.

My husband has been a resident at Queens Court, in Osborne, for over two years. In that time has slowly deteriorated due to Alzheimer's but the care and and attention he has received has been so reassuring to me and my family. We are always made welcome, whenever we go, and included in any activities
that are being held then. We celebrated our Diamond Wedding Anniversary this year and our daughter with the help of the staff and carers made it very special. The atmosphere is positive and caring with each of the residents being treated as individuals. The various social activities that are arranged for families to join in with their relatives are outstanding, Afternoon Teas, Valentine's Celebrations and joining residents for Christmas Lunch are much appreciated. Last, but not least all the staff are a joy and this makes visiting my husband so much easier knowing he is safe and sound.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. My dad has been at Queens Court for over 2 years now. Can't fault Queens Court or the staff. The staff are consistent and long term which to us was a very good sign!
They constantly go above and beyond to support our family and Dad, helping us mark special family events. Going above and beyond expectations.
There

We are comforted that Dad is in excellent hands in a resident-centred home.

My mother was at Queens Court for the last 3 years of her life and was very well looked after.
When she/we were choosing the home it was during COVID lockdown, but the staff helped us to get a good impression of the home via pictures, which proved realistic.
For the first 18 months, my mother was
in the Sandringham unit, in a lovely and quite spacious room. She had her own phone, internet connection etc. Later on, she had to be moved to Osborne (dementia) unit, where she had a smaller, but adequate, room. The staffing ratio in this unit was noticeably higher, and the level of understanding and care was excellent.
Osborne unit is being significantly upgraded, with workmen replacing electrical and plumbing - but the home worked around this well.
Throughout we felt that Mum was well cared for, and we were always kept informed of her wellbeing, and when she needed any additional medical care etc. Staff always knew who we were when we visited.
We would happily recommend Queens Court.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us, it's always lovely when families do think of us, especially after the loss of a loved one. Mum was quite a character who kept us all in order. Mum obviously lived a very interesting life. She loved to chat about her travels to India, and early years living in the Methodist Hall in London, through the war, whilst her Father was minister there. I will share your review with the staff team.
