Since moving in, I have felt comfortable. My room has been personalised to how I want it. The staff are very nice to me and I feel comfortable talking to them. When I need assistance the staff are always available. If they can't help straight away they come back when they can. They were kind to me when
I was not feeling well.

Aigburth is a truly exceptional home, the atmosphere of loving compassion surrounds you as you enter. Caring is the staff's top priority no matter how frail, ill or cognitively impaired each resident is treated respectfully, lovingly and with good humour. This enables residents to function to the best
of their remaining abilities as they are being consistently supported by staff performing at their very best too. It's not only a privilege but also a source of joy to spend time in the company of the residents and staff here at Aigburth and I write this having visited many other care homes both in this city and county and in other parts of England too. A resident wrote in the home's New Year magazine 'Soon settled into the routine of the home, enjoying the activities including storytelling, exercise, music etc. I have chatted and made friends with many staff and residents. A relative wrote 'We couldn't have chosen better it is a lovely home with beautiful gardens. The staff are amazing.'

Well, where to begin - since last September, both my parents have been residents at Aigburth Care Home. I have to say the place is outstanding. It is very well maintained and is always clean and tidy. The rooms are spacious, clean and all rooms have a view of the gardens.
The care that is provided
is amazing, and the staff treat the residents with care, compassion, respect and dignity. All members of staff are very friendly, and welcoming. There are lots of activities each day, and everyone is encouraged to join in. Each day the residents receive a newsletter that provides facts of the day, jokes, and a quiz. Residents also receive a daily menu where they can choose what meals they would like.
There are various areas where you can sit with your loved ones, such as the beautiful gardens, decking area and a foyer where refreshments are available.
I would highly recommend this care home to others.

Mum has been in Aigburth for just over a year. She is settled and we know most of the staff by name and all by sight. Mum's mobility is deteriorating but I'm confident Aigburth will be able to respond as required.

The staff at Aigburth are all very friendly, irrespective of their role. There's a lovely atmosphere and lots of laughs. There are many activities organised for the residents such as gardening club, games, crafts, music performances, day trips out, coffee mornings, and more. There are good menu options
and regular snacks.

My mother has been a resident at Aigburth for over 9 years and I do not think I could have found a better home for her. She had a major stroke from which she made a poor recovery, is wheelchair- bound and in recent years developed vascular dementia. She has lived on all 3 floors of the home, moving
as her care needs have increased and staff have continually and sensitively reviewed her care requirements involving Mum and myself throughout. Staff encourage Mum to join in with the regular and full programme of activities as she wishes and is able. Her health and well-being are well-monitored.
Mum feels safe and secure with the routine provided, truly cared for, and especially enjoys the variety and quality of the home-cooked food and beautiful gardens. The home is very well-managed and run by a caring and happy staff team, many of whom have worked there a long time. There is also extra excellent support provided by dedicated volunteers.
I would highly recommend!

I was warmly welcomed into Aigburth at short notice on the 23rd of May 2024 after a spell in hospital. 7 months later I'm still here! Aigburth is a lovely place but would just like to say the following - It would be nice if dining tables were always set with pepper and salt and napkins to see hunting
around. It would be nice if tea and hot food was always piping hot.

In March my two daughters were informed that the home wanted to change the Kingfisher floor to an all-dementia floor and would like me and four or five other residents to move to Treetops. After being on Kingfisher for three years it was a little traumatic but having viewed what would be my room I agreed.
I was able to move items of furniture etc with me and all went well.

The administration manager is always helpful and available in need. I find the majority of staff understand my willingness to help. The handyman is always happy to help unless he is very busy, he will help the next day. I enjoy the variety of activities offered, whether we want to attend or not. Personally,
for me, the three very good meals are too heavy. I appreciate the freedom to bring any pictures and have them put up in my room and bring in my own furniture that I choose to.

Sadly my mum wasn't at Aigburth for long - but in the time she was there, she was looked after with care and dedication. When she became very poorly, the whole team showed compassion and caring not just to her but to all our family. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others.

I am very impressed with the care my mother receives at Aigburth and she has been here for three years now. I feel as a relative that I get on much better with the staff now compared with 2021 but to be fair there were a few months when Covid caused visiting regulations to be rigidly enforced. There
is quite a bit of camaraderie among the relatives and I welcome the opportunity for relative meetings on a regular basis. Our family have known Aigburth since it opened.

My mother enjoyed the show with the magicians at the end of May. They spent a long time interacting with the residents (and staff) in a way that made everyone feel included and they remembered the names of those they had spoken to.
Mum has been able to recall the fun she had even a couple of weeks
later.

The staff are very caring and do their best to look after the residents who all have advanced dementia. There is a nice atmosphere when I visit, often there are birthdays to celebrate and a cake is provided. I can’t think she would get this care at another home.

So many good things to say about Aigburth. Staff are very friendly, good team spirit, great atmosphere, lots of laughs. There are lots of activities organised for the residents such as gardening club, games, crafting, music performances, day trips out, coffee mornings, and so much more. There are lots
of tasty meals, good menu options from which the residents can choose. Good cleaning regime, spillages are quickly cleared away. Purpose-built as a care home, wheelchair accessible, wide corridors, every room is en-suite with a great garden view, with light and airy communal areas. Visitors are always made to feel welcome no matter what the time of day, you can even enjoy a meal with your loved one. We are so glad we chose Aigburth.

I have always been very satisfied with the way Aigburth have cared, over 9 years, for my aunt. The facilities are first class and the care excellent, especially over the last few months when my aunt has been extremely frail. They communicate well with my brother and I. I was disappointed that there
was no MHA home for my mother to go into and Aigburth compares well with with the one she is in now, which itself has 5 stars.
