Overall Experience

My husband has had the best care in Berwick Grange.
The carers are wonderful people and work so hard to make sure everyone is comfortable and well looked after.
They know each resident well and will approach them knowing how they will usually react in each circumstance and are, therefore, prepared

for difficult behaviour.
The home is well led and all the staff know the relatives well and will help in any way they can.
Advice is offered and given whenever appropriate.

This care home is wonderful. Dad has only been in three days and wow, so caring. The staff are wonderful,l the best in Scarborough. I would say, cleanliness is second to none. My father moved to Priceholme in May 2024 under quite difficult circumstances. We were so lucky to find a place in this care home. All of the staff have been amazing - patient, kind and empathetic in their approach. His room is comfortable and bright and always incredibly clean. And to top it off, there

is a full-time events coordinator to organise activities! I honestly cannot recommend Priceholme highly enough. Thank you to everyone who works there.

Overall Experience

My father moved into Berwick Grange in July 2024 and we have been more than happy with his care. The staff are what makes this home. They genuinely care for the residents. They take them out on trips and on individual walks (or wheelchair) onto The Stray regularly. The secure outdoor area is pleasant

and laid out so that residents can easily do a bit of gardening or sit in the sun/shade. They cook the food on site and it always looks and smells appealing. You are welcome to eat with your relative, if you wish to.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home to give you peace of mind that your relative is safe and being cared for - certainly better than we could ever have managed at home.

Overall Experience

We are really quite happy with the care my uncle gets at Berwick Grange. The staff are all great and when we attended the "Christmas party" recently, they pulled out all the stops and the residents, staff and visitors all had an excellent time.
Back to reality, I think the staff are amazing as the

job they do must prove difficult at times but despite the difficulties, they always manage to smile and have a few words with us when we visit. My uncle has definitely improved since he became a resident at Berwick Grange and he likes all the staff there but he does have a favourite and it shows in her demeanour.
The manager at Berwick Grange is very approachable and I am sure he would be able to answer any questions or concerns you may have. All in all, a caring and professional approach to services offered here.

Overall Experience

My sister has been a resident for about twelve years. She suffers from dementia. In all that time she has been looked after very well. Always clean - always attended to when she has needed something. In that time, she has had a few falls and broken hips. Each time I have made sure she returned to Berwick

Grange as soon as possible. The doctors believe she is reaching the end of her life but I have asked that if possible she can spend her last days at Berwick where she is known and loved rather than a hospice or hospital. This has been agreed. Obviously, in that twelve years there have been many changes but my sister has always been the benefit of the best care - and that continues now. I am so grateful that she is so well-loved and looked after. Thank you all at Berwick Grange.

My mum has been a resident at Priceholme since 2021. The ongoing care has always been person-centred, brilliant and very individual to her needs and to her as a person - they know her very very well.
Mum has been in hospital recently and the extended care to me as a relative has been exceptional.

My 89-year-old mum is currently convalescing at this beautiful residential care home following an accident at home which resulted in Mum having surgery and having her leg put in plaster to help repair her badly broken ankle. From the moment Mum arrived, all the staff greeted her and welcomed her. The

care and attention from all the staff Mum has received during her stay is ongoing and is far beyond our expectations. It is simply excellent! We as a family are so grateful to each and every member of staff, from the lovely carers (all of them are so attentive and caring), kitchen staff (superb food being cooked), cleaners (rooms are spotless), maintenance staff who keep the building and grounds ship shape, management/admin staff (this team is such a professional team and nothing is too much trouble for them). Mum means the world to all our family and we can all sleep on a night knowing Mum is safe and is in a friendly, happy place being so well looked after day and night. The place is so good that I am considering getting a room for myself!

Priceholme is a lovely light and airy modern home that is kept to a very high standard, all the staff are extremely welcoming and look after my mum with such care and expertise I honestly couldn’t ask for more.
Mum is quite a complex case to look after yet this is done with compassion and such kindness

I couldn’t be happier
Being in the position of looking for somewhere for Mum to spend her last years felt quite daunting at the time but we couldn’t have made a better choice.

My late mother was a resident in Priceholme for a year and a half until she sadly passed away at the end of last year. All the staff, including the management, carers, the Chaplain and the support staff, showed unfailing empathy and kindness to my mother, who was in a frail and vulnerable state. They

made my mum feel safe and supported during her last months of life. There were regular activities, including weekly religious services, that my mum enjoyed and provided an interest in her life. Mum was encouraged to socialise with the other residents, but her wishes were always respected and she could have her meals in her room if she chose. On Mum's funeral day, the cortège went past Priceholme and all the staff came out to pay their respects, with several attending the Thanksgiving service afterwards. Priceholme is a warm and caring home and I think the staff there are all doing their very best to care for the residents.

I cannot praise the team at Priceholm highly enough, it is led from the top and my brother, who was admitted in August 2020, has had the best of loving care from that date to this.
The world of care for the elderly would be a much, much better place if all homes provided such care and attention to

their residents.

My mom will have resided at Priceholme for five years in July. I was advised by a nurse that Priceholme was by far the best all-around care home in her opinion. So glad I listened as she was 100% correct. The staff from the management down are first class and are so kind and attentive to my mom. She

often tells me how well looked after she is. She loves the food and enjoys giving some, sorry, all of the staff a telling off. So glad they understand her sense of humour. As I live abroad it puts my mind at rest knowing she is looked after by a high-quality group of people.

Mum has been at Priceholme for just over 1 year. The year has been challenging for Mum, our family and the staff at Priceholme. We have worked closely together to make sure the best outcomes have been achieved and Mum is now settled and happy in this lovely home.

staff and we are grateful that we can rely on them to look after her.

My dad is happy in Priceholme. He does sometimes have a moan to me about some aspects... flavour of soup, or the fact fish and chips is more fish and wedges rather then chips! I enjoyed the fish I had one evening when I'd just finished work and popped in to see my dad. He also gets a little bored being

stuck inside but I do know the home is trying hard to get a minibus for trips out, once the weather perks up. He has an electric scooter that gives him freedom to pop into town. He really loves the staff, and they are always lovely to me too, always ready with a cuppa! He's not one for the activities but I think he's too picky, the staff member does a good job! Must be hard keeping everyone happy. Overall, very happy with Dad's care, communication is spot on. Management and staff are great.
