Cannot fault the care, staff that my mother receives
All the staff that my wife and I have contact with are professional, friendly and sympathetic to my mother's needs.
This is across all the team from management to the the carers and domestic staff
The laundry team do a great job, returning the
clothes quickly and very clean.
The carers take time to talk to my mother who can get a little upset sometimes.
They quickly jump on any health issues and listen to our concerns if we have any.
The catering is very good and needs to be commended
We can approach senior staff if we need to but seeing them nearly every time we visit puts our minds at rest that mum is being well looked after.
She insists on regular visits to the hairdresser, and why not.
The atmosphere is first class and we are encouraged to take our dogs into the home and the team appear to enjoy this more than our dogs
Overall we are happy and believe we have a super relationship with everyone there

Thank you for you kind feedback. We are glad that we could make this experience so exceptional. Our team work hard to ensure that we can provide great support in all departments. We understand that care is not only by providing physical support, but also the engagement, interactions, and environment. Big part of our day to day life are meals and celebrating moments of spending this time together like you would do at home. Once again thank you.

Ryelands

It is with peace of mind for me as a service user's close blood relative that they are being cared for by moral, compassionate, people with the patience of saints! :) The staff are also very co-operative and attentive to all the residents' visitors especially the close relatives. The resident's meetings,
with minutes taken for the record, and these sent to their email inboxes by request is also a reassurance. The optional, non-obligatory church services coming to and being conducted in the home are also a blessing (excuse the pun) as most of the residents would not be able to go out to church anymore. That you let the resident's relatives and friends and visitors join in is excellent, and the same goes for other activities, e.g. the exercise clases which then of course encourages the residents to want to participate a bit more. The gardens are kept beautiful, and even if the resident is only able to look out of the window, these add to the enhancement of life at Ryelands.

Many thanks for your review of Ryelands, and I appreciate all the beautiful comments. I can reassure you that we will continue to ensure the wellbeing of the residents at Ryelands so that we can continue to meet our mission statement of enabling people to live later life well.

Brookfield Care Home

from Laura L (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Dad has been at Brookfield Care Home for the last 6 months in the dementia floor upstairs. We honestly couldn't be happier with his care. Every member of staff has been kind and attentive (with Dad and us), and they keep us fully informed and updated. The food is excellent and Dad is eating well,
the whole place is very clean. Dad needs a high level of nursing care and many other Homes couldn't accommodate his needs. We are so very grateful to Brookfield for taking Dad's care on and for the unlimited kindness and patience they show to him. I hope this review can convey just a small amount of the enormous gratitude we have for Brookfield and every member of their team. THANK YOU.

Reply from Christine Hamilton, Home Manager at Brookfield Care Home

Thank you for the encouraging comments, we really do appreciate them. We try our best to give good care to residents and families, and feedback helps us know we are on the right track. I will share your comments with the team.

My 90 year old Aunt had to move care homes as her home was closing down which was very unfortunate. Everyone at the Meadow was very helpful and made it a smooth transition both for my aunt and my family. She has settled in very well and all the staff have been very kind and attentive to her needs
which I am very grateful for. The rooms and bedroom are all light and airy and my aunt enjoys the activities on offer.l

Reply from Sirisha Kodakandla, Home Manager at The Meadow

Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful review. We're so pleased to hear that your Aunt's transition to The Meadow was a smooth one, especially during what must have been a difficult time. It's lovely to know she has settled in well and is enjoying the activities. We truly appreciate your recognition of our team's efforts and will be sure to share your feedback with everyone involved in her care.

My dad had respite care for 3 weeks. All the staff have a genuine love of their work and are full of kindness and respect towards my dad, who has Parkinson's. The accommodation was lovely. Varied menu choices and quality dishes. Dad thoroughly enjoyed his stay.

Excellent provisions and care. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, from nurses to health care assistants, admin and everyone involved, not forgetting the manager who had a good understanding and knowledge of family needs included. Very welcoming and highly recommended. Thank you for caring for
my mother for almost a year and a half. Much appreciated.

Lovely, friendly care home where mum's needs are met with patience, compassion and respect. Staff are always helpful, with a smile on their faces.
Mum is treated with dignity at all times. She is happy and is starting to make friends. She enjoys the activities and the 'social scene'.
A lot of weight
is taken off my shoulders as I know she is safe and being well looked after.
